Summary: How Machel finds out about Darvey, after they had a night out, drunk Darvey. Pure Darvey x Machel fluff.
A/N: Hey guys. I know i've not been posting much but I promise to change that. Anyways, will post chapter 2 of this fic by the weekend. Enjoy!
"Home. Uh-no, I mean Donna's Apartment." slurred Harvey as he got into the back of his Lexus, Donna in hand, and a surprised but pleased Ray sitting in the front seat.
It's been a week since he came over. Since he finally faced his feelings. Since he finally realised what he was missing all this time.
Donna was half asleep by the time they reached her apartment. She had one-to-many vodkas, differentiating from her regular scotch.
"We're here." Said Ray, prompting Harvey and Donna to wake up slightly so they could get out.
"Yeah- Umm you can go now, i'll probably walk home." replied Harvey, completely oblivious to the fact that Ray wasn't blind. Anyone in their right mind could see that Donna and Harvey were together, even when they weren't.
Slowly but surely they made it into the elevator, but by now Donna couldn't stand straight. Harvey picked her up, and exited the elevator, walking towards 206.
He fumbled with the key for a few seconds, his hand eye coordination slightly hazy, probably attributed to all the glasses of Macallan he managed to drown at the bar.
He heard the door click, pushed it open and walked inside. He threw the keys on her coffee table, but as he turned, he heard a familiar gasp.
Shit. Shit Shit Shit.
Opening his eyes clearly, he saw Rachel and Mike standing next to her kitchen counter, with a cake, flowers, and a card saying 'Happy Birthday Donna.'
They looked as perplexed as Harvey, Donna still asleep in his arms, unaware of the situation.
"Hey - Hi guys. I was just dropping Donna off after we had a long day at the firm, so there's nothing to see here-" Harvey was cut off by Mike's excited voice.
"I can't believe it. You aren't blind anymore. Rachel, we need another cake ASAP. We have to celebrate Harvey being able to finally see. What all of us saw since we met them."
"Mike - stop. Harvey, seriously, i'm so happy for you guys." interjected Rachel.
Just as they were talking, Donna began to stir. She shifted around Harvey's arms, and finding his neck, threw her arms around it and pulled him into a kiss. She hadn't noticed the audience.
Rare for Donna Paulsen to not know what was happening.
"Thanks for giving me the best pre-birthday celebration i've ever had." said Donna, her eyes still fixed on Harvey.
Not knowing what to do, Harvey quietly motioned towards the guests standing in her kitchen.
Donna turned her head, and immediately jumped out of Harvey's embrace, the sight of her friends sobering her up at once.
"Umm- hi. Harvey was just-" Donna was interrupted, but by Rachel this time.
"We know, Donna. We're just happy for you." said Rachel, trying to relieve her friend from some of the shock and embarrassment.
"So now that we know, tell us everything. How when and where. And leave out anything and we'll sue you!" chipped in Mike, anxious to know how his best friends finally snapped out of their oblivious trance.
end note: I hope you liked chapter 1. Chapter 2 will basically solve the angst of this chapter. Pure fluff to come. Please review with ideas/suggestions/criticism.
Thanks always,
