Alarms blared and the clock tower rang as civillians, those who had not caught the warning alarm way earlier, rushed to get out of the city. Apparently, half of them had been so busy with their day-to-day lives they hardly heard the Prime Minister's P.S.A about the coming storm of destruction that was Godzilla, whom they believed to be long gone after what happened in 1954.

What made the bleak tone of the situation more bleak was, even as panicing citizens raced to get out of the city, Godzilla's monstrous roar could be heard, all while acompanied by the sounds of explosions and the tallest of skyskrayprs crashing down upon the ground the ground.

"ATTENTION ALL CIVILLIANS WHO SHOULD HAVE EVACUATED EARLIER." The PSA systems, opperated by Japanese policemen, blared all over the city district, "THOSE WHO ARE STILL IN THE BUNKERS REMAIN UNDERGROUND AND DO NOT EMERGE, STAY UNDERGROUND UNTIL THE DANGER HAS PASSED OVER. AND DO NOT PANIC! MOST OF YOU EITHER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND OR TO A DOCK AREA."

To make sure the evacees where moving in a timely fashion, guards blew their whistles and shouted instructions, all while alarms blared, people screamed and the sounds of explosions and footfalls got closer and closer.

Close by, Godzilla marched through the city streets. Behind the 100 foot tall monster, buildings lay in ruins and fires burned, sending smoke into the night sky. Godzilla's eyes remained narrow, the light of the flames reflected in his glassy eyes.

Anything in his path, unfortunate enough to be in his wake, was crushed and smashed to bits from street lights to more cars and to trucks as well as numerous fire hydrants.

The only opposition, at that very second, trying to slow down Godzilla was millitary plasma lazer cannon trucks, that had been deployed within the city mere minutes before the beast arrived. Once the gigantic creature was in range and close enough, the lazer beams, opperated by soldiers, let loose.

While they didn't harm him or blow anything up, the lazers did get Godzilla's attention as he halted his advance, roaring angrily. "GRRRYAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOON!"

Thoom! Thoom! Thoom! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The King of the Monster's footsteps resumed as the trucks rolled back, leading him on a chase through the city streets.

While the beast couldn't run, due to his ginormous size and the fact he was durable as a tank, he could still increase walking speed and still fight like nuts as well as blast anything with his thermo nuclear breath.

The lazer trucks' purpose was to not only somewhat distract Godzilla, they were supposed to lure him towards the nearest millitary checkpoint where tanks, troops, rockets and the air force could launch another attack on him in the hopes of stopping the rampage and save millions still in the city who were in danger.

Every now and then, Godzilla would let out a roar and/or a growl before blasting a couple buildings with his heat ray.

Close by, millitary forces were moving into position, rocket launchers were set up and tanks rolled in, baracades of soldiers and machine gun nests were prepared and armed. The spots where the army had set up shop was free of civillians, thus allowing millitary operations against the rampaging storm of terror to carry on without any difficulties or interfearance.

Godzilla soon approached, eyes narrowing with more anger and his teeth began to bear with a grit, his footfalls becoming more louder and the ground shook even more thanks to said footfalls. Whenever giants walked, the ground would shake beneath them and all of those caught in his path.

"Steady, boys! Steady!" The Defensive Counterattack Commander ordered, speaking into a megaphone, holding his hand up in a stop gesture.

The lazer trucks began to run low on power and the lazers became weaker and weaker by the second, knowing this was happening and sensing the trap close by, Godzilla charged up his atomic breath and fired his heat ray at the trucks, obliterating the first in a massive explosion that caused the second to go up in flames, melting away and ending the lazer fire.

9:10 P.M. The clock tower began to chime again, very loudly than it was before, amplified by the alarms and acompanying the footfalls.

Heck, the clock tower itself was actually Tokyo Tower, the red and white structure had not only been fitted with an actual clock, but the landmark had been modified to a point where it was an even more important landmark.

During the chaos of the 1954 Godzilla attack, the tower had been destroyed and, for the next few decades, the tower had taken the most reconstruction efforts as it had been badly damaged and it had already been devestated.

The tower was in the midst of being reconstructed following the chaos of the war when Godzilla made landfall that one night and attacked the city, the reconstruction site suffered the worst damage since the USA bombings.

Now the Tokyo Clock Tower was about to be destroyed by the Big G again, reduced to rubble and probably destroyed for good, paving the way for a new Tokyo Tower to be built. "GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!" Godzilla howled super menacingly, "SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRNNNNNNNGRRRRRRRGRRRRRRRRRNK!"

The millitary commander instantly gave the order, overcome with fear at the sight of the beast and feeling that the King of the Monsters was in close point blank range to be engaged in combat, M.C wanted this to be done with A.S.A.P without any delays whatsoever.

BLAM BLAM! BLAM BAM! SKYEW! SKYEW! RATATATATATAT! BOOM BOOM! The rockets took off from their launching pads as the tank, cannon and machine gun batteries roared to life, firing on Godzilla. The rockets exploded upon impact against the gigantic mutated dinosaur's body, sending smoke into the air, even the bullets from the tanks blew up upon impact.

As for the bullets from the soldiers' guns, they just bounced off the G-Man as if he was made of metal. Bullets could not penetrate the outer layer of something made of metal, that was where explosives came in, even though explosives were a bit more dangerous in the end.

Godzilla, who'd ceased his advance temporarily, roared with fury, having not expected anymore human millitary opposition. His powerful rage and unlimited fury inside of him was now building up more and more by the minute, his anger had been burning within the beast's heart since the day he was mutated by radioactivity, since he destroyed so many nuclear submarines with radiation.
He was the last dinosaur, his kind was long gone, leaving him as the only survivor remaining. It was the human race, they'd destroyed the dinosaurs and now they wanted to get rid of him so they could be the only dominant race on the planet, filthy mammals.

Not too far off, on the 9th floor in Hoshytamu Tower, Satuyama was drinking a can of bear and a glass of whiskey as he listened to the sounds of explosions as the millitary tried to take down the gigantic monster.

He was smirking with delight, his camera was ready, just a little longer and Satuyama would see the dinosaur he'd encountered so many years ago. His armed guards outside his door were shaking in fear in their shoes, contemplating on either to evacuate or head underground to hide and maybe get their boss to a safer location.

Satuyama, being who he was, had orders not to be disturbed unless it was very important and he had new orders.

Hearing the roar of the beast, Mister Hoshytamu kept himself from shuddering when memories of the events of that unavoidable night in 1954 came to mind. All those fourty years ago, he'd been fresh off from his millitary service and had just about taken over the family buisness.

His pop had vanished during the chaos of that night, when it looked as though he was a casualty, he turned up completely fine. Weeks later, due to being exposed to leftover radioactivity from the first Godzilla attack, Saigata was hospitalized and the doctors did everything they could to cure him of the radiation.

But it was no use, he had to be put down and Satuyama, who was already CEO of Hoshytamu Enterprises, had to host the memorial service.

Satuyama imagined what Saigata would say if he found out that his son, the big honcho of Hoshytamu Enterpises, had decided not to evacuate when the attack sirens started going off shortly after it made the news that the new Godzilla was on his way to Japan.

"Satuyama!" Fake Saigata yelled, "You are a fool, are you mad? Evacuate now! When Godzilla attacks and you're still here, you're a goner. I do not care if that creature is something you met years ago, that thing is a monster forged from atomic bomb testing and is very dangerous."

The old WW2 veteran shrugged that thought aside, his pop was not here, so he had no say in the matter.

Back outside in the streets of Tokyo, the millitary ceased its attack to reload its ammo supply as the missile launchers were starting to burn and the guns were overheating. Sensing that this was his chance to strike back and unleash his full rage upon the humans opposing him, Godzilla started to super charge his atomic breath.

His dorsal plates glowed, the color going from bright blue to orange-yellow and his mouth began to unhinge, a glowing ball of energy growing inside the maw of the beast. Watching from a distance, the millitary commander let out a shriek, "FALL BACK! RETREAT! GODZILLA'S ABOUT TO FIRE ITS NUCLEAR RAY AGAIN!"

Before anyone could move back, it happened...

Godzilla leaned forward and a huge stream of yellow and orange fire shot forth from his mouth and struck the area where the soldiers had set up shop, obliterating the tanks, missile launchers and guns.

The soldiers who were unlucky, had a chance to scream before they were incinerated, flesh burned away as they were reduced to burnt skeletons and charred ashes. Unleashing his full power and still firing his nuclear breath, Godzilla turned 90 degrees left and right, annihilating buildings, even taking down Tokyo Tower.

The surrounding area either exploded or was incinerated within seconds, even Godzilla was rotating in a 360 degree angle to make sure he burned Tokyo to the ground and there was nothing left of such a "puny city", nothing for the survivors to rebuild and, unknowingly, setting up the backdrop for the quickly upcoming third and "final" confrontation with Gamera.
His supercharged powers diminishing, his energy nearly weakening, Godzilla ceased his, unaware that his turtle-y foe somewhere had sensed the radioactive energy surgance and would be coming.

Howling his biggest and most menacing roar he'd ever done, the beast marched forward through the sea of fire and rubble, crushing what remained of the tanks and missile launchers. Godzilla growled, eyes still blazing with pure, radioactive malice.

This malice had surfaced years ago when it all began, when the nuclear explosions happened, this was malice had been burning inside Godzilla for decades as he waited for the right time to unleash it. The Americans had been the start, his confrontation at Oshima with Gamera had pushed it and now the malice fueled him.

This was the driving force and it made him an immortal Overlord of Destruction, in the years to come, survivors of the Kaiju Apocolypse would look back upon the day when the Towering One rose from the sea and unleashed mass destruction on the world.

Those who rarely spoke his name would a four word name for him, one that Robert Oppenheimer had mentioned from ancient Texts after the first nuclear bomb exploded in 1945 when he quoted a line that would be remembered throughout history; "Death; The Destroyer of Worlds."
