As Godzilla called upon all the strength he could muster, his eyes glowed blood red, becoming pupil-less for a brief second, along with his dorsal plates and his glowing supercharging ball of radioactive energy he was about to unleash.
Once he'd charged up enough, he let loose, blasting the surrounding area with his Omega Ray (a supercharged up super plasma), causing massive explosions and starting huge fires that reduced more areas in Tokyo to rubble before the rubble became ashes.
Gamera was just getting up on all fours when the attack happened, the incoming ray of doom hit him square on the back, blasting off a bit of his casing.
"AH-RAHR-RAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRR!" Gamera bellowed, healing instantly as he absorbed the flames in the vicinity. He stood up on all twos, eyes blazing orange with fury as he took the full brunt of Godzilla's attack as the Omega Ray burned and scarred his right arm and charred Gamera's left leg.
"AHRAHRAAAAAAAHHHHRRRRR!" The turtle howled, "GYRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
Somewhere far below the streets, in the subways, which had not experienced the worse yet, people yelped in alarm as lights flickered and dust fell from the ceiling. The one thing they could hope for; that the ceiling did not come crashing down atop all of them.
Meanwhile, in the bunker beneath the Japanese government building, the Prime Minister and his cabinet were holding a long meeting about the future of Japan and how to defeat the unbeatable Godzilla, all while they observed the battle on the technologically advanced viewer screen as dust and bits of rubble fell from the ceiling, thanks to the explosions up above.
"None of our conventional weapons will work against Godzilla." The P.M. slammed his fist on the table, "WHAT OPTIONS DO WE HAVE, GET THE UNITED STATES TO NUKE 'IM WITH NUCLEAR MISSILES AND RISK ANOTHER HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI?"
General Kobashawa shook his head, "Sir, there's a chance nukes will make things worse."
"WORSE THAN ANOTHER HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI?"
"Almost, radioactivity created Godzilla in the first place and Gamera is attracted to that stuff. If nuclear weapons were used, the radiation would make Godzilla more stronger. Even Gamera would feed off that stuff and basically mutate into something horrifying than before."
"Good point, nukes are off the table. But still… WE NEED A MIRACLE WEAPON!"
As the meeting carried on, the chaotic battle up above raged onward, Gamera was shooting fireballs at Godzilla, who was pouring all his energy into his Supercharged Nuclear Ray attacks on the gigantic turtle, which did lead to more devastation throughout Tokyo.
Those who were underground in the bunkers, subways and basements, overhearing the upstairs battle, came out for a brief time to have a look at what was going on. Once it was clear that everything wasn't safe and there was a high concentration of radiation in the city, it was back underground.
Meanwhile, Godzilla was starting to get a bit exhausted from breathing a ton of fire and shooting fireballs was making Gamera exhausted as well, scrapping the fight was not an option.
So, what option did the monsters have on, er, their turf?
Why, switch to melee attacks and let their energy recharge of course.
Godzilla punched Gamera in the face and swiped at him, leaving a scar upon the turtle's face above and below the eyes. Gamera retaliated with a gut punch, knocking Godzilla off balance and almost causing the Big G to fall over had he not recovered fast enough, Godzilla wheeled about and tried to whack Gamera with his tail only for Gamera to be prepared for that this time as he grabbed the tail.
This proved to be a mistake due to Godzilla radiating a huge amount of radiation, which burned Gamera's hands in the process, somehow.
"AHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" The Universal Guardian shrieked, clutching his hands.
Full desperation, eyes blazing with fury, Gamera decided to give Godzilla a taste of his own medicine from before by actually trying to breath fire into his mouth.
As Godzilla prepared to attack again, Gamera grabbed him by the snot, risking burnt hands, and pried his mouth open. Godzilla was furious soon as this happened, he knew what was going to go down, Gamera began to charge up an enormous glowing yellow ball of fire, breathing in the air and radiation, getting ready to do what he was about to do.
Enraged by the fact Gamera was going to try a tactic HE unleashed on HIM, Godzilla felt his energy recharge much faster than before.
Unleashing a radioactive pulse with all his that caused Gamera's hands to burn, Godzilla charged up another atomic ray, this time it was colored blue-orange. Gamera let out a muffled yelp as his hands burned, not even bothering to stop charging up his attack.
The one who shot first?
GODZILLA!
His eyes gleamed blood red again as a gigantic stream of blue and orange flame shot from his maw and headed straight for Gamera, who was so distracted with his burning hands and trying to charge up a bigger fire attack, the blast hit the turtle in the neck head on, burning his esophagus and his chin. Yelping in pain, Gamera shot a fireball right at Godzilla.
Godzilla staggered when the fireball hit him in the arm, but he shook it off like it was nothing and fired off another stream of his atomic ray at Gamera, the monsters blasting each other with fire caused a large mass of explosions that damaged Tokyo even more, actually scarring and burning onlookers.
The scene was nothing compared to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki where millions of lives were lost in one day of each bombing, the firebombings of Tokyo were much worse than nuclear bombings as well. As the fire blasts shimmered down, Godzilla and Gamera stood amongst the ruins and fire, now standing 10 feet away from each other.
Within minutes after Gamera had shown up, the two had been fighting and the big battle had lasted for just 3 hours. It was midnight, the fight had to end. As neither of them seemed destructible, Gamera had one option left, it was time to do something super risky.
Godzilla knew he needed more radioactivity, he could sense what was coming, the outcome was still a mystery. There was one way to find out what was going to happen. Gamera reared back his head towards the sky, roaring as he called upon the earth to give him strength.
Godzilla reared back as well, roaring as HE begged for more strength. Both roared at the same time, asking for more strength.
The dark clouds began to part, revealing the starry night sky once more as an aurora of glowing, orange-yellow lights shone overhead, descending upon the two monsters at the same time.
Godzilla stopped roaring and glared at Gamera, his dorsal plates starting to glow bright orange-red. Gamera looked at Godzilla, the skin on his torso glowing, cracks starting to show as if his stomach was about to open up.
As the glowing finished, Godzilla stood, supercharged and ready to obliterate his foe with his Super Omega II Heat Ray. As he breathed in, charging up his supercharged attack, Godzilla's mouth glowed with energy.
Gamera bellowed an earthshattering roar as his stomach opened up, a glowing light of charged up fire energy burning inside. Thinking his foe had revealed his big weak spot, Godzilla let loose with his heat ray, the beam heading straight for Gamera.
At that same second, Gamera fired his Torso Beam at Godzilla. The Omega Heat Ray struck Gamera in the open torso hole and the Torso Beam made contact with Godzilla, not fully blasting him away but surrounding him due to the power of the Super Omega II Ray and his super ultra invincibility.
As Gamera poured all his strength into his one attack, his eyes became orange red just like Godzilla's heat ray.
Consumed by more desperation, Godzilla mentally called on his last energy reserves and, as his nuclear beam got bigger stronger and its colors shifted from orange to red and purple to blue, his jaw seemed to unhinge just a little bit.
Sweat began to cover Godzilla's entire body, Gamera roared in pain and fury as he unleashed an even stronger stomach beam, his heart and arms burning and his legs almost about to give out. His armored back was shaking. Onlookers who could sense the coming explosion and ducked for cover. The two monsters, their bodies now starting to steam and burn, kept going. And then...
KA BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A huge explosion erupted, obliterating most of the already devastated city block, shaking all of Tokyo. Godzilla howled as he was consumed by the blast, even though his survival was possible, and was knocked off his feet.
Gamera toppled over, disappearing behind the explosion. A gigantic mushroom cloud rose up into the air, like as if a hundred nuclear bombs had been dropped on Tokyo. Millions all over the world watched as the clashing Kaiju and almost all of Tokyo vanished in the explosions and the cloudy aftereffects of the blast...
