"Hey, Wise Girl!"

Annabeth turned. Perch could see Luke Castellan begins her. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Hi Percy!" Annabeth said. She gently pulled Luke's hand. Percy felt jealous, and was ready to leave as soon as he saw that.

"So, Seaweed Brain. Wanna go to Target? I need a few things for my presentation." Annabeth asked. Percy nodded. "Great! C'mon guys!" She tugged on both Percy and Luke's hands. They both followed, but were glaring at each other.

They hailed a taxi, and headed off. The two boys refused to sit next to each other, leaving poor Annabeth stuck in the middle. Percy on the right, Luke on the left. The tension was awkward.

Annabeth tried to start a conversation multiple times, but the guys kept interrupting each other. A conversation would go like this:

Annabeth: Read any good books lately?

Luke: Well, this one called-

Percy: I don't read.

Luke: I was talking!

Annabeth: Well, um... do you guys like the beach? We can go there!

Percy: I love the-

Luke: Nah. The waters too cold, and it's full of fish pee.

Percy: Do you mind?

Luke: No, not at all. Prissy Percy can continue.

Percy: Don't call me that.

Annabeth: Hey guys-

Driver: We're here!

By the time the ride was over, Annabeth was already exhausted.

"How about this? I'll go with Annabeth, and then Luke can go find anything else we might need? Like, blue food?" Percy said, forcing a smile. Before Luke could protest, Annabeth said, "Yeah, let's do that."

Luke gritted his teeth. He muttered something under his breath, and walked away. Percy grinned.

"So, where to?" He asked. "I need a poster board, a new pack of pencils, some markers, glue and that's about it." Annabeth said. Actually, that was only half the things she needed, but she didn't think she could handle any more of them.

Percy scrunched his face up. "Don't you have like, 1000 pencils? For my school projects, I only need a pencil and a piece of paper."

"And that, Seaweed Brain, is why you get a D." Annabeth said. Percy pouted.

"C'mon," Percy grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I could feel a jolt coming up my spine.

"Let's go!" He shouted, too enthusiastically. I raised an eyebrow. Percy tried to, but couldn't.

"Okay, Wise Girl, we have everything. Why are we still here?" Percy asked, tapping his foot.

Girls everywhere would stare at him, and occasionally a brave one would come up and ask for his number.

He declined them all, but offered to be friends. I sighed. Percy was caring, and seemed to be friendly to everyone.

Luke finally came back, and we headed home. We dropped Luke off first, because Percy wanted his mom to meet me.

"Mommm, I'm home!" he called. "Right on time, Percy! I made cookies!" a woman's voice said.

From the kitchen, a fairly tall woman walked out. She had long brown hair, and a twinkle in her eye. She smiled.

"So, Percy. Who's this?" She asked. Percy said, "This is Annabeth," I waved. "She's a friend of mine."

My heart stopped at the word friend. Was that what he thought of me? Or just what his mom needed to hear?

"Wonderful meeting you, dear. Stay for some cookies!" his mom said. I nodded. "Thank you Mrs. Jackson!" I said.

"Please, call me Sally." She said. I nodded again. The cookies were blue. Blue. Percy inhaled them, while his mom scolded him to leave some. I nibbled it, and fell in love.

I quickly devoured what was left. Sally rubbed her stomach uncomfortably. Only then did I realize, she was pregnant.

How did Percy not realize this?

"Thank you, Mrs- I mean Sally. I have to go now." I thanked.

I walked out, and went down the elevator. Finally, I walked out the doors of the building. Standing in front of me, was Luke.

"What were you doing in there? You have to choose one of us, Annabeth. Me, or Percy."
