The next time I saw Percy, he was with another girl.

I was heading towards a pizza place, when I saw Percy with a certain red headed girl. They were on a picnic blanket, and were laughing.

Percy was chomping on whatever was left, and the girl was eating too.

She had green eyes, and red hair that seemed to bounce.

My whole life, I learned how to study people. But for some reason, I couldn't figure out her.

I walked over to Percy, and waved a friendly "Hi!"

He looked uncomfortable, and just muttered, "Hello," back at me.

I was taken aback. "So, Seaweed Brain, who's this?" I asked.

"Hello! My names Rachel. Rachel Dare." Red said.

"Well, I'm Annabeth Chase. Pleasure to meet you."

Percy coughed into his fist. He looked really uncomfortable now, and seemed to be sweating.

"Anyways, would you like to come for pizza with us, Annabeth?" Rachel asked.

"Yes, of course!" I said, forcing a smile. "Just let me invite some friends."

"Great! Percy will text you when we'll go!" Rachel got up.

"It was wonderful meeting you, I have to head back to my home. My father doesn't like me hanging out with certain friends." Rachel said.

She walked off.

Percy looked ready to leave. He started packing up. I picked up a bottle. "I can help, you know." I said.

He just nodded, and continued cleaning. His ruffled dark hair seemed to make itself messier each day.

"Well, see you there. I'll tell you when we can go." He got up and walked away.

I puffed my cheeks. Luke came up and said, "hey Annabeth!"

I turned around and he was standing right in front of me.

"Annie, I thought we discussed this." He said. A look of disappointment flashed across his face.

"Sorry, I'll try better." I said.

Luke wrapped new in a hug and I didn't let go.

Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw Percy watching us. He walked away.
