Harry Gets Kidnapped to Protect a Friend

Harry exited from the short cut after meeting from Tonks. He did not tell her that in his rush he left his sneakascope at Gryffindor tower in his rush to warn his dad. So, after talking to Tonks Harry decided to use the short cut once again to get back to the common room.

Harry turned to a dark corridor which made him stop. This corridor was lit the last time he went through, and it was not time for all students to be in their common rooms.

Harry remembered back to last year when he last entered a dark corridor. It was after Justin and Nearly Headless Nick was petrified by the basilisk. Although the giant snake was dead, Harry had a bad feeling like that night.

Harry took out his wand and said 'Lumos' and the tip of his wand lit up a light at the end.

Harry cautiously walks through the corridor. Harry made a corner when he heard something scurried. Harry turned but did not see anything.

Harry sighed with relief and was about to chided himself for letting his nerves getting to him when he felt something press against his throat.

"Don't yell!" a squeaky voice said.

"Who…" Harry stopped realizing who this guy was. "Wormtail."

The voice did not respond.

"Let me go, Wormtail. My dad already knows you're up to something," Harry lied then said. "Our Divination Professor foresaw it."

Wormtail hesitated at first, but chuckled. "Nice try Potter, but I know the Divination professor is a fraud. As for your father—well, I am planning on Prongs coming after me. Now come unless you want me to target your friends next."

"They're up in Gryffindor tower. The Fat Lady already knows you. You won't be able to get in," Harry said.

"Oh, I wasn't talking about your Gryffindor friends. I am talking about your other friends. Like those from Hufflepuff House. Or maybe that little blonde girl from Ravenclaw. She shouldn't be too hard to get alone since her only friends isn't from her own house."

Harry felt a jab in his gut as he knew who Wormtail was talking about. "Luna has nothing to do with this. Leave her alone."

"I will if you come with me," Wormtail threatened.

Harry wanted to curse this guy with a full body bind curse, but Wormtail was still holding something sharp from behind him.

"Fine," Harry said.

"Cancel out your spell and give me your wand

Harry did what he was told. Once Wormtail had Harry's wand. He removed the object only to poke Harry in the back with what Harry guess was his wand.

"Come." Wormtail led Harry from behind.

Wormtail had directed Harry through a familiar tunnel that Harry realized was the one he and his friends used last year to reach the Whomping Willow to brew the Polyjuice potion when they reach the exit.

Sure, enough when opened, they were facing the whomping willow.

"We're going to the shrieking shack, aren't we?" Harry asked.

Wormtail nervously laugh. "I guess your daddy told you all about our adventures there."

That, and we used it to brew the Polyjuice Potion, Harry thought.

"He did, but he didn't tell me how to get in it," Harry lied.

"Oh, don't worry. I do," Wormtail said. "Now go."

Wormtail poked Harry hard. Although Harry knew Wormtail been without a wand for twelve years, Harry also reminded himself that the guy also graduated Hogwarts as well as Death Eater and probably know more spells than him.

Then Harry saw something that made his heart skip a beat in joy. Wide yellow eyes on orange ugly cat.

Crookshanks, Harry thought, very glad for once to see Hermione's cat. He did not know how Crookshanks is out here, but he did not care. He had to somehow get the cat to go find its owner.

"Wormtail," Harry said as loudly as he could. "Tell me one thing? Why now? Why kidnap me today?"

"Isn't it obvious? Tonight, is the night of the full moon!" Wormtail said. "Your father and uncles will come out here and when they do, we are going to greet them."

"So, you're going to use me to get to my dad?" Harry asked, eyeing Crookshanks as it started staring at him. "Why not just kill me?

"Don't tempt me Potter. If I kill you now, I won't be able to escape those Dementors."

"So, you're using me as bait to get my dad to help you leave school grounds," Harry said. "Then kill me and dad."

"No, I don't want to kill you two… just to talk, to explain…"

"Explain what? That you send Voldemort to kill my mom?" Harry responded.

"That wasn't the plan! She was supposed to be spared with your father. You were the only one that was supposed to die that night!" Wormtail responded. "He promised both of us."

"Both of… what are you talking about?" Harry asked.

Harry felt his wand wiggle around his back which he hopes meant Wormtail was shaking and not planning on using a spell.

"That's enough!" Wormtail said. "Get going!"

Harry noticed that Crookshanks was now leaving, and he prayed that the cat was getting help.

Wormtail led Harry to the root and had him pinch it. Harry did as he told and the Whomping willow froze. They reach the gap in the roots.

"Go!" Wormtail jabbed Harry with his wand. Harry enter the tunnel under the roots. Since there was only one tunnel, Harry followed it without being told although Wormtail did keep poking him with his wand.

Then the tunnel began to rise, twisted to a small opening that lead to a disoriented dusty room.

The shrieking shack, Harry thought as they reach the door.

"Open it!"

Harry did and entered a hallway up a crumbling staircase up into a landing where he had to open another door.

Inside was the same four-poster bed with hangings that Harry remembered from last year.

"Sit!" Wormtail said. "and make yourself comfortable, Potter. We got some time to wait."

Harry did as he told and finally face his kidnapper.

A/N: I know there were issues brought on by The Curse Child. I read it, and I disagree with many things myself. Few things I was okay like Hermione being Minister of Magic in the future and Albus being friends with Scorpius even in the time line where Albus was sorted into Gryffindor, and I don't mind the idea of Voldemort having a child, but the whole play was just wrong. Especially Cedric becoming a Death Eater, no thank you.

Anyway, I promise you guys I'll try to avoid anything from The Curse Child in this and future Harry Potter fanfiction/crossovers.
