Chapter Seven

Ding

Olivia groaned when she heard her phone ring on her nightstand. Before she even turned to grab her phone, she took a moment to think about what happened last night. She couldn't believe she ran into Fitz. Fate must love fucking with her. The one night she wanted to get her mind off of him is the night that she sees him.

Thinking about what happened last night had her feeling really giddy. She didn't mean to get all hot and heavy with him, but it all felt natural with him. From the minute they locked eyes last night it was all over. She couldn't help but smile at the memories. She reached over to her phone to see a message from Fitz.

Good morning beautiful. Had an amazing time last night. Can't wait to see you again. – Fitz

Olivia giggled. They had exchanged numbers before they said goodbye last night but she never expected him to text her so soon.

Maybe faith will bring us together again ;) – Olivia

Olivia got up from bed and decided to take a quick shower.

"Good morning Miss Josie." Josie was laying on the corner of her bed like she always does.

Ding

Olivia smiled knowing that Fitz had just texted her back.

Or maybe you will take me up on that offer of a date – Fitz

Olivia shook her head as she laughed.

Maybe or maybe not. Either way I'll be right back, someone needs to shower ;) – Olivia

She laughed knowing that Fitz was about to lose his mind after he read that last text. She grabbed her towel and proceeded to go into the bathroom.

Holy hell, Fitz thought. He needed to calm himself down before he got up to check on Mira but all he could think about was Olivia and her wet body in the shower. He groaned. Get yourself together, he thought.

Maybe next time I'll have the pleasure of joining you – Fitz

That should get her back from that last text, he thought. Fitz decided it was time to get up and check if Mira was awake. It was pretty quiet, so he figured that she was still asleep. He quickly went to the bathroom and then went down the hallway to check on Mira.

He slowly opened her door and saw that she was still wrapped up in her blanket. Her wild curls all over her face like always. It made him smile every time he had the chance to see her asleep. She was growing up so fast that he didn't want to miss a moment.

He gently woke Mira up by rubbing her back.

"Mira, wake up honey."

She slowly opened her eyes and gave him a small smile.

"Hi daddy."

"Hi sweetie. It's time to get up. Go to the bathroom and I'll meet you downstairs. Maybe Grammy will make some pancakes this morning."

"Yeah pa'cakes!" She got up from bed and ran into her bathroom.

Fitz laughed and made his way downstairs to the kitchen. Before he could put any coffee in the pot he heard his phone ring.

Don't make promises you can't keep Mr. Grant. – Olivia

Fitz smirked. She is a tease that's for sure but two can play at that game.

Don't worry Ms. Pope, I always come through on my promises. Now how about that date? – Fitz

Olivia heard her phone ding as she started to make her coffee. She had let Josie out in the backyard for her morning bathroom break. She reached over to her phone to check the message. She smiled at his persistency. While she did agree on the date last night, she still was uneasy about it which he clearly picked up on.

Since I can't seem to get rid of you, I guess I'll say yes to the date. Next Saturday, you can pick the place. – Olivia

"Good morning sunshine!" Abby made her presence known as she made her way to the kitchen.

"Morning. Someone woke up on the right side of the bed today." Olivia grabbed her coffee mug and pulled one out for Abby.

"Thanks for the coffee. I mean who wouldn't be happy after last night." Abby smirked and she took a sip.

"Shut up! Says the person who was all over Stephen last night."

"Umm… pot meet kettle! You and Fitz kissed last night, and I swear it was almost like watching soft porn."

Olivia felt her face get so warm and she covered her face. Abby laughed at her reaction.

"I mean I can't say I blame you; Fitz is pretty hot."

Olivia's phone dinged on the counter which caused Abby to smirk. Abby knew that it had to be Fitz texting her this morning.

You'll never be able to get rid of me now. One taste wasn't enough, was it for you? – Fitz

Olivia felt flushed reading the text Fitz sent. Both of them were constantly teasing each other but he clearly had the upper hand right now.

"It seems like Mr. Perfect just sent a dirty text."

"Shut up!" Olivia laughed at Abby's antics and decided it was time to turn it up a notch.

She bit her lip as she sent response his way.

Fitz was watching his mom and Mira cooking together. Mira had her little apron that had her name on. Mira was very spoiled by everyone in the family, but it wasn't excessive, and Fitz put his foot down every now and again.

Fitz took a sip of his coffee as he read the last text Olivia sent him.

Mmmm…well Mr. Grant. I can't seem to forget your hands around my waist or the way you pulled me in closer to you. Just thinking about it gets me so…. – Olivia

Fitz choked on his coffee causing his mom and Mira to look over his way.

"Fitz, you alright honey? You look a little flushed." His mom looked over at him worryingly.

"Yup, I'm fine." Fitz coughed a bit and went back to respond to Olivia. She was such a tease and she knew it. It just took one night, and he was even more enamored by her.

"Daddy you look red!" Mira looked at him with worried eyes.

He could feel himself blush even more now that Mira pointed it out. She walked over to him and gave his legs a hug.

"I'm okay sweetie, I promise."

His mom kept looking at him and he knew she was going to ask what happened last night. Mira was content and went back to her grandma to finish up. Gotta love having a nosey mom, Fitz thought.

Gets you so what Ms. Pope. You are such a tease but the minute I get my hands on you, I will show you who the tease is. – Fitz

That should show her, Fitz smirked.

"Daddy food is ready!" Mira went running back to Fitz. He quickly picked her up and gave her a kiss on her cheek.

"Thank you lovebug. You and Grammy did an amazing job."

Mira gives him a toothy grin and then a kiss on his cheek. She is a daddy's girl through and through. He places her at the table and sits right next to her.

Before he could do anything else, his phone went off one more time.

I shouldn't say. We haven't even had our first date yet and I can't wait to see what kind of tease you are ;) – Olivia

Fitz smirked. She was good, he thought. Fitz was typing out the last message as his mom said, "Fitz put that phone away. It's time for breakfast."

Fitz hit send and started to dig in at what his mom and daughter made this morning.

Oh, don't you worry. Come Saturday I'll show you exactly what I mean. Now I got to put my phone away. You got me in trouble with my mother lol – Fitz

Olivia laughed out loud once she finished reading his text. She will let him breathe for just a minute while she also ate her breakfast.

"So, did you and Stephen get even more hot and heavy when you disappeared for a good twenty minutes?"

"I don't kiss and tell, Liv but we do have a date tomorrow," Abby blushed.

"Oh, you really like this guy don't you?"

"I really do. He is charming but oh so sweet. When we got back last night, he kept texting me asking if we got home safe and sound and texted me this morning to make sure I took some medicine for my hangover. He is so different from David and I think this will be a good change."

Olivia smiled at her friend. She knew how much the breakup hurt even though it was necessary, so it was good to see Abby smiling and being giddy over a guy again. She just hoped Stephen wouldn't break her heart.

"I'm happy for you but let him know if he breaks your heart I will come after him."

Abby laughed and shook her head. "Fine as long as you tell Mr. Perfect the same thing."

"You got it"

The duo laughed and Olivia decided to send one more text out.

Enjoy your breakfast and I can't wait for Saturday. We can both be teases together ;) Be a good boy and focus on Mira and your mother lol – Olivia

Olivia couldn't wait until she saw Fitz again. She hasn't felt this giddy about a guy in forever and this could be something big. This man had captured her heart so quickly and she couldn't wait until their date, whatever that may be.
