None of these characters belong to me. They're all Rick Riordans.

[Percy's POV]

"Percy, come on! Zeus is waiting!" Dad called out.

"Coming!" I yelled back.

I'm Percy Jackson. My dad works at Olympus Inc, and because of that, he's been MIA for most of my life. Apparently the company was getting bad grades, so Zeus, the CEO, thought that some kids would brighten things up. So, BLAM, bring your kid to work week has begun.

Mom kissed my cheek. "Ok, I've packed you some cookies, a bottle of water and an extra sweatshirt. I love you, see you later." She handed me a blue bag with whales on it.

"Bye, mom!" I waved back and ran out the apartment.

I followed Dad to the elevator. There we stood in silence, unsure what to say to each other.

I looked up at him. He was tall, with the same sea green eyes and raven black hair as me. He wore a dark blue business suit and a tie with some fish on it. I don't have a clue about the tie, but other than that he looked like a true business man.

About 30 minutes later, we arrived.

A huge building that rocketed into the sky was before us. Dad said he worked on the 600th floor.

Above the revolving doors, a sign read... well, I can't read it, I'm dyslexic.

Confusion must've shown on my face, because Dad said "Olympus Inc," helpfully.

Inside a man at the front asked, "600th sir?"

"Yes, thank you." Dad replied.

We stepped into the elevator. I was expecting it to take about a minute or two, but the elevator went so fast, it was only a few seconds.

I stepped out, nauseous, but Dad seemed perfectly fine. "You get used to it after a while."

I looked around. Dad had never let me go to his work before, I always stayed at home with Mom. It was a huge space, with windows everywhere. Instead of English, any signs or words were in Greek.

Luckily, Dad had taught me Greek since I was able to speak, so it was pretty much hardwired in my brain. I knew a bit of Latin, but not much.

Suddenly a girl bumped into me. I spun around to see a girl around my age. Her hair looked golden, curled like a princess. She had a gorgeous tan, and wore a orange t-shirt and shorts. Her eyes were a startling gray, like a stormy night.

Beside her was a black haired woman. She had the same stormy eyes.

"Athena, tell you kid to watch where she's going." Dad said angrily. "Poseidon, tell your son to not stand in the middle of the room." She replied just as fierce.

I quickly grabbed Dad's hand before they could start fighting, and led him away. His eyes could switch emotions so easily. Either as calm as the beach, or as violent as a ocean sinking a ship.

"Dad, who was that?" I asked. He started walking towards a large room with a big table spread across.

"Athena, she designs all our buildings." He grumbled.

We entered a room full of maybe 12-14 adults and even more kids.

"About time." A voice from the other side of the room called. A man with a pinstriped suits and tie stood at the head of the table. He had dark hair and bright blue eyes. Behind him stood two people. One was a boy with close cropped blonde hair. He had a small scar on his lip.

The other was a girl, with spiky black hair. She wore a leather jacket, ripped jeans and had a silver tiara in her hair. Both of them had the same startling blue eyes.

"Calm down, Zeus. I'm only a few minutes late." Dad sat down near the head of the table. I looked around the table. Most of the kids were my age, and I saw the same girl. She was fiddling with a Yankees cap.

I waved at her, trying to catch her eyes. She saw me and turned her head around with her nose sticking up.

I sighed. Making friends here was going to be harder than I thought.

Zeus cleared his throat, trying to get everyone's attention. "Let's begin. The issue on the table..."
