Chapter Nineteen

Fitz's alarm went off at 6am. He was planning a sunrise morning date with Olivia. Olivia was still sound asleep, curled up to his side. He was going to ask her to move in with him and he wanted to make it special.

He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, cheek, and then lips. Olivia groaned feeling Fitz's lips on her. She could tell it was still early and she was not in the mood to get up just yet. After last night's activities, she just wanted to sleep in.

"Fitz…what are you doing?" She nuzzled her face into his chest.

"Waking you up. Come on I want to watch the sunrise together."

"Can't we do this another morning. I'm tired."

Olivia rolled over away from Fitz but he quickly pulled her back in. He gave her some kisses on her neck and Olivia knew that she couldn't go back to sleep.

"Fitz if you really want us to get up then maybe you should stop kissing me," Olivia moaned.

He knew that she was right and he had to do this today before he chickened out. He gave her one more kiss and let her go.

"Okay let's get up and go. We have about twenty minutes before the sunrises. I'll go make us some coffee." Fitz got up, used the restroom, and went downstairs while Olivia freshened up.

"Oh thank god you have coffee." Olivia had switched out from her pjs to some sweats and Fitz's hoodie.

"Of course I do. Now let's go out before we miss the sunrise." He gives her a peck and hands her the coffee mug.

The two of them head down to the beach and take a seat on the sand. Olivia and Fitz cuddle in silence for a minute just content in each other's arms. The sky was starting to get lighter which was an indication that the sun was about to rise.

"So what's going on in that head of yours?" Olivia tilts her head up when she asked that question. She felt that Fitz has had something on his mind lately but she has let it be until now.

"I think for the first time in my life I'm happy. I always feared that Mellie would come back and try to get Mira back in some way but with what you did I know she never will come back again. I don't know what I could do to thank you."

Olivia squeezed Fitz's side and said, "You don't have to do anything but love me. That's the only thing you need to do to thank me."

"I love you so much Olivia Pope. I'm thankful that fate has brought you in my life."

"I love you too Fitz. You and Mira are currently the best things in my life."

She pulled him into a deep kiss which he reciprocated. They pulled away but kept their foreheads together. They needed this one minute to just be. Fitz pulled Olivia onto his lap and the two of them just watched the sunrise together. Even though it was really early, Olivia was happy Fitz woke her up for this.

It was quiet for a moment before Olivia heard, "move in with me" causing her to turn around in Fitz's arms in shock.

"What?"

"Move in with us, Olivia. Mira calls you mommy and the best place for a mommy to be is with her family so please say yes."

Olivia's eyes were watery and she couldn't believe Fitz was asking her this question. She was hesitant because maybe it was too soon but her gut was telling her this was the right move.

"Liv? You don't have to if you don't want to…I just figured this would be the best –"

"Yes Fitz"

"Yes?"

"Yes I'll move in with you guys."

Olivia wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a passionate kiss. Fitz started to put his hands in her sweater wanting some skin to skin contact. This caused Olivia to moan in his mouth. As much as Fitz wanted this to continue, he knew everyone would be getting up soon including Mira.

He pulled away and plated a sweet kiss on Olivia's forehead.

"Thank you for coming into my life."

"Fitz, thank YOU for being in my life and bringing an amazing little girl too."

"Let's go inside. I'm sure my mom is already making breakfast."

Olivia gets up from his lap and grabbed his hand when he got up. The two of them made their way back to the beach house where they found Katherine already making breakfast.

"Good morning you early birds."

"Morning mom. Do you need any help?"

"No honey. No help just set up the table please."

Fitz set the table while Olivia went upstairs to freshen up and wake up Mira. The two of them were on cloud nine and couldn't believe the next move they were making. Now Olivia just had to break it to Abby that she was moving out.

Olivia walked into Mira's room where she found Josie sleeping at the foot of her bed. It was a sweet sight to see and it was clear that Josie had taken a protective role with Mira.

"Sweet pea, it's time to wake up."

She gently brushed her hair off her face. She couldn't believe how much she loved this child who wasn't even biologically hers but she loved her all the same.

"Mommy…"

"Hey baby. Grammy made breakfast but I need you to wake up."

"Don't want to…" she turned away from Liv.

"I guess you don't want go to swimming later either."

"Wait yes I do!" Mira turned around really quickly.

"That's what I thought. Now go use the restroom and brush your teeth. Meet us downstairs when you're finished okay."

"Okay mommy."

Olivia's heart burst. She will never get tired of hearing her say that.

An hour later everyone was fed and getting ready for today's activities. Fitz had rented out a boat for all of them to set sail on. The women had gathered all the snacks and everyone was ready to go.

They all got in their respective cars and drove to the area where the boat rental company was located. It was a quick fifteen minute drive and everyone was excited for a day out in the water. About thirty minutes later they were ready to set sail. Olivia was sitting with Mira as she put on sunscreen on the little girl. She then proceeded to secure the life jacket on her.

"Fitz get over here so you can put on some sunscreen," Olivia had called out to him. He was currently with the captain talking about what direction they would be heading.

"I don't need any. I'll be fine."

"Do you hear that Mira? Your daddy says he will be fine."

Mira gasped, "No daddy. You'll be red like a lobster! You said so!"

Katherine shook her head at her son. "Fitz listen to Olivia and your child. Put on some sunscreen. I don't want to hear your complaining later on."

"Okay fine. Liv help me out."

Olivia rolled her eyes and helped Fitz get his back. She had to bite back a moan feeling up her man's body. Fitz could feel Olivia tense up and he felt as every bit of turned on as she did. He turned around and put his hands on her waist.

"Thank you baby." He gave her a sweet kiss. He knew it couldn't go any further considering they were surrounded by people so he couldn't wait until tonight for a moment alone.

"No problem. Can't have you getting sunburn."

She turned around and made her way to where Abby was playing with Mira. Fitz couldn't help but admire her body. She was wearing jean shorts and fitted white tank top. He knew that she was also wearing a yellow bikini underneath that he couldn't wait to see.

"Hey guys what are you doing?"

"Playing go fish! I'm winning mommy!"

"Your girl is competitive."

Liv laughed knowing really well how competitive Mira is. Now that quality she definitely gets from her father.

"You enjoying yourself Abbs?"

"Yeah of course! Spending time with you and my boyfriend all in one week. What more could I ask for?"

"Stephen really is a great guy and you guys look so in love."

Abby freezes. She wasn't sure what she was feeling for Stephen but maybe Olivia was right and it is love.

"Yeah I guess we are in love."

Olivia squeals causing Mira to look at her.

"Mommy shhh…" Her brows furrow and she had a serious look on her face.

"I'm sorry honey. It's your turn."

"Little miss bossy just like someone else I know," Abby laughed.

"Haha but seriously have you told him yet?"

Abby put handed a card over to Mira and looked up at Olivia.

"No not yet but maybe I'll tell him tonight."

"You should. Don't hold back just like you told me."

They smiled and continued their game with Mira.

About thirty minutes later Mira went over to Fitz who was animatedly telling her his version of the little mermaid. Mira was all laughter and giggles trying to correct her dad.

Charlie, Katherine, Abby, and Olivia were all on the deck enjoying the view. They were jumping from topic to topic just enjoying each other's company. In these kinds of moments, Olivia wished her parents were alive to enjoy it.

"So Charlie how did you and Alex meet?" Abby asked.

"Oh god so I was just getting over a bad breakup and my friends took me out to a club to let loose. Last thing I wanted was to meet another guy but Alex came up with his buddies. He was pretty shy and his friends were doing most of the talking but something about him just drew me in."

"What happened after that?" Olivia was now curious herself.

"Well we went into a corner and talked as much as we could while being in a club. We exchanged number and I guess you can say it was history."

"Aw and now look at you guys expecting your first child." Olivia smiled at Charlie.

"Yeah and I've never been happier." Charlie smiled and rubbed her belly.

"And I for one can't wait to have another granddaughter," Katherine said.

They laughed and continued their conversation. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. Everyone enjoyed themselves and even got in the water for a while. Mira kept her life jacket on and would swim with either Olivia or Fitz. The girls took some time to sunbath which meant the guys got to watch their significant others in their bathing suits. Although Charlie wasn't the most comfortable considering how pregnant she was.

It was around 5pm when the boat headed back to the dock. Everyone was tired from the sun and the swimming that they were all ready for some rest. Arriving back to the house, everyone went to their own rooms and took a nap.

An hour later everyone was refreshed. The men decided to grill again while Charlie, Katherine, and Abby were lounging by the pool. Mira and Olivia decided to go out to the beach to play with Josie who was running circles around them and following Mira around. They were building sandcastles. Olivia was loving every moment of this and was taking pictures of the two of them.

"Mommy look at the seashell!" Mira came running after grabbing a bucket full of water.

"Oh it's so pretty!"

"Can I keep it please?" She gave Olivia her best puppy eyes.

"Of course. Just put it right here so you don't lose it."

It was quiet between the two of them before Mira said, "mommy why didn't my old mommy want me?"

Olivia stopped what she was doing. She didn't know what to say to her question. She looked back at the house where she could see Fitz laughing at something Alex had said and wondered what he would say.

"Well sweet pea she just wasn't ready to be your mommy but that doesn't mean she didn't love you. She just loves you in her own way."

Olivia hoped that this was enough to satisfy her curiosity. She would have to talk about this with Fitz later.

Mira looked down and then looked at Olivia. "Are you ready to be my mommy?"

"Oh of course baby. I love you so much. Come here." Olivia opened her arms wide and Mira went straight to them. She held on tight to Olivia as if she was afraid that she would leave. In case Liv didn't hate Mellie before, she definitely hates her even more now.

"Mira, Liv! Food's ready!" Fitz called out to them.

"Come on baby. Let's go eat." She picked her up and called out to Josie to follow them.

Later that night, Olivia had put Mira to bed and went back into her room to find Fitz on his iPad catching up on some work emails.

"Did she go down okay?" he said when she walked in.

"Yeah she did. We couldn't even get through one book. Today really wore her out."

She got on the bed and Fitz pulled her closer to him so they were cuddling. Olivia closed her eyes for a moment and just listened to the beating of his heart. She knew she had to bring up what Mira asked her and she was nervous about it. Fitz placed a kiss on her forehead.

"What's on your mind baby?"

"Mira asked me a question earlier and I just hope I answered it correctly."

"What question?"

"She asked me why her old mommy didn't want her and I just didn't know what to say."

Fitz pulled away slightly to look at Olivia.

"Why didn't you call me over? I would've helped you."

"Because you were busy and I want her to continue being comfortable asking me questions without you around."

"Okay I understand that so what did you say?"

"I just said that she wasn't ready to be a mom and that she still loves her but in her own way. It's the best I could say without hurting her feelings."

"You're incredible you know that right. You handled that like a pro."

He pulled her into a sweet kiss and it quickly got passionate. Their sexual tension had been building all day that it was time to just let it explode.

Fitz pulled her onto his lap and Olivia pulled on his shirt to take it off. He moaned when he felt her mouth on his neck. Her hands went from his shoulders down to his waist where she placed her hand on his erection. She gently squeezed him and tugged on his pants so he could take them off. Fitz got the memo and lifted his hips slightly for Olivia to pull them off.

He worked his way from her neck down to where her panties began. She was already squirming and panting. She couldn't handle his teasing. They stayed still for another minute before Fitz got up to their bathroom to get a washcloth to clean themselves up. Fitz pulled on his pajama pants back on and Liv slipped on her shirt. They both gave each other a kiss and went to sleep. Both of them content and happy about their life together.
