The culture of the little small towns such as in Urgup in Turkey and other parts of the Muslim world allows for the selling of ones daughter to those that can afford. Zurhre Filiz had the misfortune of being an exact lookalike of a powerful and corrupt land baron Fikret Karakaya who would stop at nothing to posses the love and beauty that he felt was taken from him at his youth.
Zurhre's father Hassan , fearing retribution and also his greed attempts to bring his resisting daughter to this grandfather like oligarch. Furhre manages to escape and meets Seyit Zahir who would turn to be her savior and eternal love.
Seyit is a young handsome and devoted son to Cevahir Zahir and grandson to Mustafa Zahir Stone Master artisan that Seyit emulates. He is honest and brave and devoted to moral values. He lives together with his grandparents , mother and sister. He tries to do his best to support his family after his father Ibrahim Zahir left them for another woman Serfie Gonen and moved to Istanbul.
Seyit helps Cure even though he cannot understand why this beautiful young woman with the most captivating eyes and smile is stranded in the middle of an express road. While he is giving her a ride to the nearest bus station, they meet Zuhre's father who forces her into their vehicle so that he can bring her to the Karakaya mansion for the forced wedding. As she is driven away she cries desparately for help looking to Seyit to save her. Seyit finds a scarf on the road that belongs Zuhre and he keeps it with him.
At the Karakaya Mansion , Zuhre pleads with her father to not do this to her, who then beats her into submission. The night before the wedding Zuhre gets her first encounter with Zekkar, the psychopathic self indulgent son of Karaakaya's crime family. Zekkar in his drunken state sees Zuhre on the balcony and decides that she will be his pleasure for that night and proceeds to try to rape her.
The forced marriage occurs even without Zuhre consent making her his bride so that no other man can ever touch her. Part of the wedding ceremony is car parade to the graves of ancestors. Zuhre sees Seyit and lifts her wedding vail to see the man that will become the most important man in her life as the car passes by.
On the wedding night Zuhre repeatedly tells Fikret she would rather die than be his wife . Fikret thinks that sooner or later she will understand his power and will not do anything but to accept this marriage. Zuhre puts a knife to her throat when Fikret tries to stop her they struggle and he and she are both are stabbed with the knife and she runs from the bedroom chamber. Sirma Karakaya's abused wife sees the blood stained wedding dress and helps Zuhre escape through the secret tunnel that leads out of the mansion.
Zuhre in her weakened state finds a horse that somehow leads her to Seyit stone workshop where she attempts to hide out and rest from her wound. Seyit finds her in the morning, cleans her wound and has her change into his extra cloths that he keeps in the shop. He is attracted to her innocence and resistance but he knows how hard it's going to be to try to protect her from the Karakaya family and their influence.
Zekkar Karakaya's self indulgent riotous importance of family honor has vowed that Zuhre and whom ever has helped her must die in order to restore the family honor. The remaining episodes he repeatedly makes Zuhre and Seyit and his families lives a nightmare. Seyit is beaten several times, He destroys the workshop after a Conniving Serfie Gonen learns of Zuhre presence by bringing the blood stained wedding dress to Zekker. He also attempts to burn the family home with them in it if they don't give up Zuhre to him. He eventually kills Mustafa in his attempt to kill Seyit.
Throughout the 17 episodes Zekker's attempts at revenge find ways of faltering until the tied is turned and Seyit regains the upper hand and takes away everything Zekker held dear by evicting him out of his mansion.
The first 10 episodes dealt with Seyit and Zuhre' s run from the Karakaya family's revenge and the last 7 episodes dealt with Zuhre attempt at trying to protect Seyit and his family by giving herself back to Fikret and being his wife in appearance only and shattering her heart in rejecting Seyit by making him believe that she is Fikret's wife in all ways.
Seyit fortunes change when he saves the lives of Necmi and Gunes Demir and is offered a job as their personal body guards. He is also surprised to have found Zuhre working at the Demir estate only to loose her again once she sees that Gunes has fallen in love with Seyit and that he would be better off without her.
Necmi Demir and Fikret Karakaya have done business dealing in the past so they form a partnership designed to keep Zekker in check . Zekker retaliates when he discovers that Gunes is actually Sirma's daughter with Cemal her lover and love of her life so he formulates an attack on the Demir estate and shooting Necmi Demir causing his eventual death. Being all alone Gunes goes along with Seyits plan for revenge and makes her uncle which is Erdal and Seyit in charge of all her business holdings making them business partners with the Karakayas whom aren't pleased to be dealing with a powerful Seyit.
Seyit cleverly turns the tables on Zekker when he attempted to set a trap for Seyit and Zuhre forcing his father to allow him to shoot these two lovers that have scorned the Karakaya family name. Seyit shows everyone Zekker scheme by showing the hotel videos of him planning the entire charade this force Zekker to now loose everything except the club.
Fikret knows that he is dying brings Zuhre and Sirma back to Urgup so that she can finally by away from Seyit's eyes and love. The Final episode has Seyit finding out that Zuhre has never slept with Fikret giving him the reason to go to Urgup to take back what is his.
The closing schemes has Seyit saving Zuhre trapped in the hidden cave left to die. The many questions that I will try to clarify in the new episodes will be was it Zekker's mother the one that left Zuhre to die in the locked tunnel? What will happen to the new love of Ali and Ruveyda?How will Gunes react to Seyit and Zuhre together. ? Will Zuhre return to Fikret or will she blame him for her entrapment and ask for her divorce. Will Cevahir allow Ibrahim to continue with his attempts to reclaim his family? Will Serfie continue to interfere or will she finally go off on her own and make use of her skills. Finally will Zuhre feel free to marry Seyit and have that happily ever after as it was destined .
The final scene has Seyit breaking the lock and making sure his love is alright as he gently caresses her face and hair.
Seyit: Zuhre...Let me look at you….. Are you alright… Let me look at you
Zuhre continues to hug Seyit as they kiss
Seyit: I learned everything…. I know you didn't sleep with Fikret
Zuhre: I could only be with you in my dreams…. I was so worried that I hurt you so much
Seyit: I don't care what anyone says … I will never let you go…. I will never let you go
Zuhre: Ok
Seyit: let's get out of this place
The scene ends with them going to the exit of the cave… What they find waiting for them will be the start of episode 18 as this love story continues….
Sirma: Zuhre are you all right… I was so worried that this was happening again… some one was trying to kill you….. Why did you go into the cave?
Zuhre: Each night I kept hearing these noises and had the feeling someone was watching me… then I saw someone running up the stairs and I followed…. I wanted to know what was happening
Sirma: Thank God you're al right…. Thank you Seyit for being here
Zuhre: Seyit… I'm so sorry I missed Grandpa Mustafa's funeral….. If it wasn't for me he would still be alive…. Can you bring me so I can show my appreciation of him
Seyit: All that matters you are safe and you are with me
Fikret rides his white stallion up to the entrance of the cave and sees Zuhre under Seyit's embrace
Fikret: Zuhre... come to me ….. are you all right?
Seyit: Fikret… she is not coming to you…. You cannot protect her , like I can
Fikret: She is my wife
Seyit: I don't know if you did this or Zekker… but no one is going to endanger her again
Fikret: She is my wife ….you have no right to her
Zuhre: I'm not your wife…. My heart and my love belongs to Seyit… it always will ….. you don't love me….. you love who I look like …. I'm not Surhan …. I will never take her place… be happy with your dreams of her… You've taken to much from me …. This is number 3 ….. I demand a divorce ….. I belong with Seyit
Sirma can't believe what is happening, she has allowed herself to be beaten and bullied by this Karakaya family for so long and Zuhre is showing the way that she doesn't need to take it anymore herself
Fikret realizes that he has lost Zuhre for good and collapses…. Seyit picks him up and puts him in the SUV and brings him to the hospital where it is revealed that his condition has deteriorated to the point that he won't survive the night.
Zekker hears of his father's condition and rushes to the hospital so that he can find out about his mother before Fikret passes
Zekker: Papa… I've just been told by mama's doctor that she is still alive… Tell me Papa ….. what you know of this …. Where is my mother Papa?
Fikret: Vahide… Vahide was crazy about my love for Surhan and killed her…. to protect her I placed Surhan dead body in the cave with your mothers ring to show that she had died….. Now that she has seen Zuhre... her rage has returned and she tried to kill again.
Zekker: Where is my mother now…. So I can see her.
Fikret has revealed his secret that he's kept all these years and now is at peace with himself and passes away . Zekker once again shows his psychotic behavior and begins blaming Zuhre and Seyit for his fathers death Seyit won't have any of it and threatens him that if he comes anywhere near them no one will ever find him again.
Meanwhile Gunes calls Seyit to find out where he has been
Gunes: Seyit….. It's been hours since I saw you last … where are you?
Seyit: Sirma called me and told me what she suspected happened to Zuhre… Zuhre was locked in the secret cave and left to die….. Fikret came by was upset at seeing me and Zuhre and collapsed. We brought him to the hospital when Zekker showed up blaming us for his father death
Gunes: Are you all right…. Did Zekker hurt you
Seyit: I'm fine... I'm going to send Sirma to be with you and bring you back to the mansion ….. to determine what we do next.
Gunes: Thanks… see you soon
Zuhre: Seyit… what's going to happen next … are we in more troubles than before … I'm free… but I'm more afraid for you again
Seyit: Don't be afraid… Zekker has no power any longer… but I will make sure everyone is protected. Sirma goes to be with her daughter Gunes and tells her everything that has happened.
Back at the mansion Seyit talks to Cabbar
Seyit: Cabbar, you have been Mr Fikrets most loyal bodyguard but he collapsed and died at the hospital….. I'm expecting Zekker to threaten all of us and I would like to know if you remain loyal to Zekker or you want to come work for me. I could use you since you know Zekker better than anyone.
Cabbar: Mr Seyit…. You are an honorable man … can you forgive what I've been order to do to you and Mrs Zuhre
Seyit: Would you give me the same loyalty as you did to Fikret…. If I did
Cabbar: You would be the same
Seyit: Then I want you to get two more of your best men to be with Mrs Gunes, Mrs Zuhre and Mrs Sirma at all times …. I want men that won't be afraid of Zekker's men.
Cabbar: They will be protected at all times… I will assure you.
Seyit calls Erdal to put the security men on alert in that Zekker may try to take revenge on anyone associated with them. He asks to put a security detail on his mother and sister. Seyit then tells Zuhre, Gunes and Sirma that he has assigned Cabbar and his men to each of them as a precaution to whatever Zekker may try to do.
Seyit and Zuhre have the conversation that Seyit has wanted to have before Zuhre sacrificed herself to Fikret.
Seyit: Zuhre , now that you are free of Fikret,….. will you now marry me… I love you more than life ….. I can not continue without you
Zuhre: My love that is what I want…. But I must remain a Karakaya a little longer
Seyit in anger…. Why Zuhre…. Why wait
Zuhre: Love of my life…. Fikrets made his lawyer Burham do many changes before we arrived at Urgup …. If I'm no longer a Karakaya…. What claim would I have…. Part of our revenge is to take everything from them…. Your family which will be my family needs retribution for all the pain and suffering and death. Grandpa Mustafa's death must not go unpunished.
Seyit: so you do want to marry me…. But just not now
Zuhre: Yes my love…. My dreams have been filled with being in your arms every night in our bed and making a family of our own. It is all I want…. But we have to wait a little while longer.
Zuhre embrasses Seyit and gives him the most passionate kiss yet to show him how much she wants him.
In Sirma's room , Gunes asks her mother to tell her about Seyit and Zuhre and why they can't let each other go.
Sirma: My darling sweet daughter…. I know how much you love Seyit ….. but, Seyit is one of those men that only loves once in his life….. his love is Zuhre and Zuhre loves the same. Seyit will be the only man Zuhre will ever love. Seyit has risked his life time and time again to save Zuhre….. he ran back into his burning house because Zuhre was going to let herself burn to death in order to save Seyit and his family from anymore harm from Zekker. Their love is indestructible.
Gunes: He will never love me the way he loves Zuhre
Sirma: Seyit would die to protect you, but his love only belongs to Zuhre. Zuhre's heart shattered when she was trying to give Seyit to you by telling him that she was sleeping with Fikret.
Gunes: Are you saying Zuhre never gave herself to Fikret.
Sirma: Zuhre would rather die than to dishonor her love for Seyit. Seyit is the only man that can have her.
Gunes: Now that Zuhre is free from Fikret… will they marry?
Sirma: I don't want to break your heart my darling daughter…. But it is inevitable …they will marry and stay married until they die…. That's who they are destined to be.
Another conversation is happening on the phone lines in Istanbul between Ali and Ruveyda.
Ruveyda: Ali, what is happening… Uncle Erdal sent security people to watch over us since my brother demanded it. What is your family or should I say your father going to try to do to us?
Ali: My father has already threatened my life for betraying him, by taking over the Karakaya businesses… so I'm not one that he will talk to…. I will call my mother to find out what is happening… I promise I won't let anything happen to you
Ruveyda: How can we ever be together, when our families hate each other so
Ali: Our families aren't us …. I love you Ruveyda…. We will find a way to be together… I promise.
The next day in keeping with Urgup traditions, Zuhre does her duties as a wife and proceeds with the funeral ceremony of Fikret Karakaya and a parade through the streets and buried in the ancestors burial spot reserved for him. Zekker views all the proceedings from afar knowing that he doesn't have the security detail that Seyit has empowered to survive any attack he wishes to undertake.
The local community give their condolences to Zuhre and Sirma as they place Fikret Karakaya into the ground in his final resting place. Zuhre , her final act as a wife and her act of kindness asked that the bones of Surhan that Sirma found in the Cave, be buried next to him, so that his after life could be spent with the only woman he truly loved.
Zuhre: Mr Fikret… With Surhan next to you, I hope you can finally find peace…. I truly understand how to love someone…. Since I now have my Seyit.
A week after the burial of Fikret Karakaya , Mr Burham contacts the three remaining relatives of the Karakaya empire to go over the terms of the will. Mr Burham begins to read the terms of the will
Mr Burham: Based on the recent wishes of Mr Fikret Karakaya which were enacted the week before his death. This is the asset allocation of the Karakaya estate.
The newly established company that is in partnership with the Demir Holdings Company along with the Urgup Mansion and farm lands will go to my beloved wife Zuhre Karakaya.
All other Karakaya businesses, excluding the Club will go to my grandson Ali Karakaya along with the Farm house and Glass House in Istanbul.
To my son Zekker Karakaya, I leave the Club , hopefully he won't destroy it as he has destroyed everything else in his life.
The Cash disbursement will be as follows:
Baez and Ceylan will receive $1million
Cabbar - $1million
Sirma- $10 million
Ali - $100 million
Zuhre: $200Million
Zekker: $15 million
Zekker: this travesty can not allowed to be proceed without the one person that is the rightful heir to everything… My Mother Mrs Vahide Karakaya
Mrs Vahide: I'm the rightful heir since I'm the real wife of Fikret Karakaya and not this imposter of Surhan.
Mr Burham: I don't know who you are, but if you wish to challenge anything… file it to the proper courts… I'm executing the terms of the will as directed by Mr Fikret Karakaya, just one week ago.
Zekker: How dare you insult my mother…. She is the sole heir
Mr Burham: She will need to prove herself to the courts…. From what I understand their is a burial plot with her name on it…. You now will have to explain who is in that grave? For someone that has been missing all of these years…. My guess is their is much to explain to determine the truth.
Zekker: Once again this fraud attempts to take what is rightfully mine…. I will kill you once and for all
Mr Burham: Mr Karakaya, your threats have been duly recorded and you will be held liable if anything should happen to Mrs Zuhre Karakaya before this matter is resolved.
This proceeding is adjourned.
For everyones protection Seyit has instructed they all stay at the Istanbul Mansion since it is no longer part of the Karakaya Estate and provides the space and can easily be fortified with security. He instructs Cabbar to keep these grounds as tight as possible no one is to enter without his knowledge. Seyit and Zuhre go over the Will distribution and the surprise guest revelations to everyone involved.
Seyit: Once again Zekker overstepped…. He now gave us the probable attacker of Zuhre in the Cave…. Her revelation that Zuhre was Surhan gave her the reason to try to kill Zuhre
Zuhre: Sirma … did you know Mrs Vahide before
Sirma: She was the one that convinced Fikret to arrange my forced marriage to Zekker … she never once helped me against Zekkers anger. If she wasn't around my life would have been so different with Cemal.
Gunes: Mother… are you saying that she was responsible for my adoption
Sirma: Yes Daughter ….. you had the good fortune to have been loved by Necmi Demir that gave you a life you wouldn't have had if the circumstances were different.
Erdal: This family was filled with craziness…. No wonder Zekker is the way he is.
Seyit: Maybe we can prove that Mrs Vahide killed Surhan making her go to jail and invalidates her claims.
Zuhre: taking away their money and power is the only real punishment these vultures only know.
As everyone goes to their respective rooms, Seyit and Zuhre go on the balcony and reminisce about their extraordinary adventure.
Seyit: your first night in this place I stood there by those trees watching you….. I saw as they were preparing you for him, my heart and my anger was ready to break … the not knowing was to much for me and when I saw the veils close , I thought I had lost you forever
Zuhre: I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but I have to reassure you, he never once saw me more touched me… that privilege only belongs to you… When you declared your loved for me I became yours and only you would ever have my heart.
Seyit: Now that you are such a wealthy woman will you even want to marry a pauper like me
Zuhre: you tease in jest… I dream of our wedding night and our first time making love and how beautiful it will be.
Seyit: I've never been with a woman…. So I don't know how good I will please you
Zuhre: when we were in the fisherman's cabin and we lay together, you pleased me with your mere gentle touch…. My heart was pounding so that I wanted to give myself to you … I love you so much and every time I put distance between us I was crying my heart out because I wanted you so.
Seyit: you promise we will never do to each other what we did before… we will always be honest to each other.
Zuhre: I promise and then leans over and gives him a kiss that wants him to take her right there.
