"All the best for tomorrow's match." Draco had wished before Harriet's first quidditch match.
"It's Quidditch!". Harriet excitedly shouted.
"Excited for your first game?" Hermione said.
"Maybe?" She said.
"You are the youngest people to play Quidditch in a century! Ron and I will cheer for you." She said as they left the common room. They saw Ron eating, but Harriet wasn't in the mood to eat.
"Come on you, you're going to need your energy today. Eat!" Hermione scolded. Harriet just drank Orange Juice so and technically cheated the system.
"I'm not hungry." She said.
Then, Snape came towards them limping, looking rather beaten and tired with his depressed look. But who can tell the difference?
"Good luck today, Miss Potter. Then again...now that you've proven yourself...against a troll, a little game of... Quidditch should be easy work for you. Even if it is against my boys," Snape said, smirking, before limping off.
"That was... disturbing," Hermione said.
"I tell you what's disturbing. Snape smiling," Ron said pointing a fork towards Harriet.
"That explains the blood," Harriet said staring at limping Snape."Listen, last night, I'm guessing that Snape let the troll in as a diversion so that he can get past ...the three-headed dog. But, he got bitten. That's why he's limping."
"Why would he go near that dog?" Hermione asked as she ate a bit of toast."The day I went to Gringotts, Hagrid took something out of one of the Vaults. Said it was Hogwarts business, and it was top-secret." Harriet said.
"Whatever was in that vault, is what Snape wants," Harriet said. Then, one bird came flying through the Great Hall.
"Isn't it too early for mail?" Hermione said curiously. It was for sure Hedwig who dropped a package for Harriet.
"Ir's a Broomstick!" Harriet said excitedly, examine her new item.
"Mate! It's not just broomstick. It is Nimbus Two thousand!" Ron exclaimed.
Harriet looked around the room to see who it might be from. Professor McGoanagall petting Hedwig. She knew it was her. Harriet gestures thanking her.
"I know what you two are thinking. I'm playing my first game of Quidditch, the entire school's watching me and, worst of all, it's against Slytherin... Am I right?" Oliver asked.
"Pretty close," Harriet said.
"It's alright. I felt the same way before my first game," Oliver stated looking off into space.
"What happened?" Harriet asked, hoping for a long story where it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be.
"I don't really remember. I took a Bludger to the head and woke up a week later in hospital," Oliver simply said squinting a bit
"Very assuring, mate," George said. That was enough to make Harriet giggle nervously. They walked out on the field, where she saw Ron and Hermione holding a sign that said, "POTTER FOR THE WIN!" She giggled and nudged Fred and George, who giggled alongside her.
"Welcome to Hogwarts first Quidditch game of the season! Today's Game is Slytherin vs. Gryffindor!" Lee, the commentator said as all the members of the team flew around the stands as an introduction.
"Don't worry, Harry! You'll do great!" Fred shouted over all the noise.
"THANK YOU!"
"Now I want a nice clean game..from everyone." Madam Hooch said, mostly staring at the Slytherin's, who don't mind playing dirty.
"The Bludgers are up followed by the Golden Snitch! Remember, the Snitch is worth a hundred and fifty points! Whoever's Seeker catches it first, ends the game, winning the game for their team. The Quaffle is released, and let the game begin!" Lee announced suspense fully.
The game had begun, the Quaffle is released and Angelina was the one to catch it. She was being chased by two of the Slytherin's chaser. But she swiftly dodged their upcoming attacks to steal the ball. She shots the ball to the ring and got points.
Harriet saw the snitch and zoomed towards it. But her broom shook.
"Fred George help me" Harriet said as they came flying around her.
"Sorry Mate, we can't,"
Harriet's broom was shaking. Severus saw her shaking back and forth on her broom. He doubled his strength in reciting the anti curse when she was holding the broom only using her one hand. He sweared, if she gets hurt he'll kill Quirrell a hundred times!
"That's Snape! He's jinxing the broom!" Hermione said after she saw Snape muttering.
"Jinxing the broom?" Ron asked as Hermione departed to Snape and she puts his cloak on fire.
Then someone beside him shouted, "Fire, you are on fire!"
Severus jumped and hopped around, kicking Quirrell in process of setting his cloak off the fire.
After he had set her free thanks to Ms. Granger, yes, he knew who did.
Harriet jumped back on her broom and flew fast like crazy.
He thought he already knows the saying 'Don't get on every woman's bad side, especially when it's her time in the month,' and sighed at the thought.
Harriet flew towards the snitch with determination to catch and win. She was gathering some courage stood on the broom and then she fell. Not like that but with the Snitch inside her mouth which came out. Seeing the Snitch, the crowds erupted into cheers.
"Harriet Potter has caught the Snitch! Letting Gryffindor win the game!" Lee's voice boomed across the stadium.
Just like her father
He thought. They cheered, and he kept a bitter face. But somewhere he was proud of Lily's daughter .
"Harriet! You were amazing up there! I knew you could do it!" Ron said, hugging her.
They walked to Hagrid's hut for Celebratory Tea. Ron was telling Hagrid about Snape and the three-headed dog.
"It was Snape!" Ron explained."Hermione, and I saw him. He was muttering some kind of spell or something, he wasn't taking his eyes off from, Harriet," Ron continued.
"Rubbish. Why would a Hogwarts teacher do somethin' Like that?" Hagrid said setting down four teas on the table.
"But we saw," Ron said.
"Rubbish, I say! Snape's a teacher, he'd do nothin' of a kind." Hagrid said.
Through some conversation, they came to know that the three-headed dog was Fluffy.
"So, why did Snape try to kill her?" Hermione pushed.
"I know a jinx when I see one, Hagrid, and I'm telling you he wouldn't take his eyes off of them and kept muttering quietly to make sure no one else heard him," Hermione said, confident, she leaned back in her chair to showcase that no more evidence can top hers.
"Yer Wrong! I don't know why Harriet's broom acted like that, but Snape wouldn' try an' kill a student! Now, listen to meh, all four of you, stop meddlin' in things that shouldn't bother ya. Ya forget that dog, an' what it's guardin', that's between Dumbledore and Nicolas Flamel—" Hagrid stopped, knowing he revealed too much.
"Aha! So, a guy named Nicolas Flamel is involved?" Harriet said as she and her friends left the cottage.
