Anakin twists and turns between buildings with Obi-Wan and Padme following. He glides over the bantha drinking water from a trough, but Obi-Wan's bike whips around it in an attempt to head him off. "It's just money," Padme screams over the sound of the bike, "I thought we had a mission!" Obi-Wan shakes his head, "There's more to it." They dash out of the spaceport, toward the canon nearby. The twist around sharp turns through the narrow passage between tall rock walls. A jagged rock formation juts up form the ground and the two vehicles quickly approach it and swerve in opposite directions to avoid a collision. Anakin looks back to see Obi-Wan catching up and decides to maneuver around in a loop, jutting horizontally into the air where the back end of his speeder kicks some rocks loose from an out-cropping. "Look out!," Padme exclaims and Obi-Wan moves out of the way of the falling rocks. Anakin drops back down in the canyon and Obi-Wan decides to move in. He flies along the rock wall, arching over Anakin to drop down beside him. Noticing this, Anakin breaks hard, nearly coming to a dead stop, forcing Obi-Wan to drop down in front of him. Obi-Wan spins around, facing Anakin and suddenly sees him going in reverse out of the canon, so he follows. "Leave it, it's just money!," Padme shouts. "It's not that," Obi-Wan shouts back, "Whoever this is, the Force is strong with him. I can sense it. That explains why he caught me by surprise!" Anakin waits for a wider section of the canyon, then spins his speeder around to the side, blocking the canyon. Obi-Wan brings his bike to a stop to avoid hitting him.

Once Anakin sees he has come to a stop, he backs up to the canyon wall, then accelerates full-blast and pulls up on the steering column, ramping up the sloped canyon wall in front of him. It's bouncy and jagged, but he manages to clear the canyon with only a few scrapes along the underside of his speeder. "Don't do it," Padme warns, but Obi-Wan flies after him all the same. Since his vehicle is lighter, he doesn't bounce quite so hard, which makes them clear the canyon by a wide margin and soar onto a mesa. A dune stands directly in front of them and beyond that, an entertainment barge where music can be heard. "Hang on!," Obi-Wan shouts as they hit the dune, sending sand into the air. The speeder bike gets stuck but the two of them are thrown into the air. Obi-Wan grabs Padme in mid-air and twists around so that he absorbs the fall. They break through a canopy and smash into a buffet table. Obi-Wan is unconscious but Padme is awake and groggy. She looks around as the music fades. Several aliens and bounty hunters stare at her. Nearby, some band members hold their instruments awkwardly and two dancers come to a stop.

"Who are these people?," a bounty hunter shouts.

"Jabba is below deck, he'll know what to do," Bib Fortuna, a Twi'lek, says in his language, "Take them!"

A gamorrean grabs Padme and pulls her up while two more aliens drag he unconscious Obi-Wan away. As Padme is yanked across the barge, she looks out over the deck and spots Anakin in the sand below. He has parked his speeder and appears concerned.

Seconds later, Padme is dropped to the ground below deck alongside Obi-Wan who begins to wake up. A sinister laugh echos through the chamber and Jabba the Hutt, a large slug-like alien reclines while smoking from a hookah-like container. His men all stand around ominously.

"So these are the fools who disrupted my party?," Jabba asks in Huttese.

Bib Fortuna hands Obi-Wan''s lightsaber to Jabba, "The male was caring this."

"What is it?"

"It's a lightsaber," Obi-Wan answers in Basic, "The weapon of a Jedi."

"A Jedi? Even here in the Outer Rim, the legend of the Jedi is well-known but I was never sure you existed."

"I apologize for any inconvenience. If you return the weapon, we will be on our way."

"Do not be so hasty. Let me look at the two of you," he looks to Padme, "The girl will make a fine slave."

"She is no one's slave!"

"Slave?," Padme asks.

"As for the Jedi, I have no use for him. Kill him."

"This has not been a good day for diplomacy," he reaches out, calling the lightsaber back to his hand where it ignites.

The enemies surround him but are cautious due to the appearance of the saber. Everyone freezes. Suddenly, a figure appears in the doorway: Anakin rushes in, holding a bag of money, "Stop!". Padme and Obi-Wan turn in stunned silence when they see the teenager standing in the room. "It was my fault they crashed onto your barge," he tells Jabba, "Take this as payment for the damages." Bib Fortuna catches the pouch, opens it, and shows Jabba the money.

"Impressive," he says, "I would not expect a slave boy to have this much money."

"Just let them go."

"Why should I do that?"

Anakin stops and thinks before answering, "Because you're honorable?"

Jabba laughs, "Honorable? You nothing of Jabba the Hutt. Kill them all!"

Obi-Wan turns, cutting down a Trandoshan, then spins, slicing a blaster out of someone's hand, then Force-throws him into a table. Padme rushes Bib Fortuna with a kick to the gut. Bib falls against Jabba's face and he angrily shoves Bib to the side. Anakin ducks as a gamorrean tries to take his head off with a long axe, which ends up stuck in the wall. Several aliens try to rush him, so he grabs the pig-like alien by the neck and turns, forcing the gamorrean to spin around while still holding the axe. The axe-swing forces the enemies back and Anakin gives the gamorrean a push, sending him into the small group of enemies. Obi-Wan slices through another gamorrean axe and kicks another enemy coming at him from behind. Padme jumps on the gamorrean's back and shoves her hands in his large nostrils, forcing him to stumble back. As he does so, she grabs a bottle from a table and smashes it over his head. Anakin picks up the discarded axe, swats a knife out of an opponent's hand, then jabs him in the gut. Obi-Wan turns and watches with amazement as Anakin spins the axe overhead, then brings the butt down to render his foe unconscious. A bounty hunter raises a blaster pistol while standing behind Obi-Wan, "Not another move, Jedi!"

Obi-Wan turns around and simply waves his hand, "You will point that blaster at Jabba."

The bounty hunter does as commanded, "I will point this blaster at Jabba."

Jabba grunts in astonishment as he realizes he is now in the bounty hunter's crosshairs. Everyone freezes, including Anakin and Padme. Obi-Wan casually picks up the bag of money and returns it to his robes. "That was a Jedi mind-trick," he tells Jabba, "It only works on the weak-minded but it is very effective. He will keep you at bay until we leave. Farewell." With that, Obi-Wan and Padme turn toward the door. As they pass Anakin, Obi-Wan reaches out, grabs his tunic, and drags him along.
