Obi-Wan is lead back to the landing pad where his star fighter awaits. "Tell your Council the first battalions are ready," Lama Su tells him, "And remind them that if they need more clone troopers, we will need time to grow them." He nods, "I certainly won't forget." The door closes behind him and he pulls his robe around him and stands braced against the gale. Below, a huge wave crashes against the stilts. Spray flies high and whips across the platform where Obi-Wan is standing. He walks over to his Starfighter, looks to see if anyone is watching, then turns and goes back to the door. It slides open.

He enters cautiously from outside. Ahead, the corridor is deserted. He goes to an ultra-thin computer screen and punches up an onscreen picture of Jango and Boba Fett unhitching the lines securing their ship to the landing platform. Jango is wearing his armor and rocket pack with his face clearly visible before he puts on his helmet. Boba Fett climbs aboard the small ship.

At the platform, Jango picks up a case and swings it up to Boba who stows it inside the ship. Jango picks up the last one when Boba notices something over his shoulder, "Dad!" Jango turns to see Obi-Wan charging out of the tower toward him. As he runs, Obi-Wan draws his lightsaber from his belt and it flashes on. Jango draws his guns and fires at the charging Jedi. Obi-Wan deflects the blasts and swings at the bounty hunter. Jango rockets up and over the Jedi, landing behind him. He fires several Camino Kyber Darts from his elbow launcher. Obi-Wan swats them with his saber and they burst on impact.

In the cockpit of Jango Fett's ship, Boba grabs the controls of a canon and swings it to aim at Obi-Wan. Outside, in the driving rain, Obi-Wan raises his hand and throws Jango to the ground. Boba fires and Obi-Wan throws himself out of the way just as an explosions shakes the entire platform. Jango lunges toward his dropped blasters and Obi-Wan somersaults over him with his saber swinging. Jango rolls out of the way just as his shoulder plate is sliced off. He sits up and checks his damaged armor with complete shock.

Boba fires another blast that streaks past Obi-Wan to strike the edge of the tower, which make shim lose his footing again. This time, he drops his lightsaber which slides across the platform. Jango uses his rocket pack to fly toward Obi-Wan and is kicked in the chest for his troubles. The both land and Jango grabs Obi-Wan's leg and flips him over onto his back. Obi-Wan spins on the ground, giving Jango a kick across his faceplate which rolls him onto his side. They both leap to their feet and Jango's next punch is blocked by Obi-Wan who tries to hit him again, but his armor absorbs the blow. Jango headbutts Obi-Wan, throwing him to the ground.

The lightsaber lays on the wet surface and Obi-Wan rolls along the ground then pops up to his feet in an attempt to call the saber back to him. Jango flies into the air once more, firing a single cable from his wrist-launcher. It wraps itself around the Jedi's wrists and he is yanked into the air. Obi-Wan uses the Force to pull the lightsaber to him as Jango drives them toward the ocean. Obi-Wan drops to the edge of the platform and kicks off it toward a communication tower. He wraps the cable around the small tower and plants his feet, forcing Jango to twist into the air. He hits the lip of the platform but falls off the side, dragging Obi-Wan with him. "Not good," he mutters just as the plummeting Jango pulls him off the side.

They hit a sloped roof on the lower level and begin sliding down to the ranging ocean below. Blades snap out of Jango's gauntlet and he jabs them into the side of the dome. Sparks shoot out the blade digs in, finally bringing him to a stop as Obi-Wan is left swinging over a narrow catwalk and crashing waves. He allows the momentum to carry him back just as he calls his lightsaber to his palms once more. Meanwhile, Jango struggles to hang on as he is slowly drawn toward the edge, his blade gradually giving way under the weight. The lightsaber lands in Obi-Wan's grip as he swings back. The cable is cut and Obi-Wan lands safely on the catwalk below, then races toward the nearby elevator. Above, Jango catches his breath, then snaps the second set of blades and begins climbing back to his ship slowly.

"Boba, start the ship!," he calls out as he climbs back on to the platform.

"Did we get `im?," Boba asks.

"I don't know and I don't wanna find out," he sits in the cockpit, "We have to go! Now!"

Jango Fett's ship lifts off from the platform just as Obi-Wan emerges from the door. He pulls a tracking beacon from his belt and throws it at the ship. The device attatches itself to the ship just as it heads up into the lowering sky, then it disappears. Obi-Wan turns around and heads back to his own starfighter.

An Alderaan transport ship descends, hovers, and land on a bluff on Tatoonie. Anakin and Padme get out. They look down from the edge of the bluff to where the Lars homestead is seen on the desert floor below.

Owen, now an adult, is working out in the hot sun. Beru Whitesun comes out into the courtyard and hand shim a glass of bantha milk. Padme and Anakin approach.

"Can I help you?," Owen asks he notices the pair.

"Owen?," Anakin leans in, "Owen Lars?"

"Anakin," Owen shakes his hand but still seems unhappy, "I never thought I'd see you again. Not after you ran off with that crazy wizard."

"He's a Jedi."

"Right. You've been gone a long time. A lot's changed," he motions toward Beru, "This is my girlfriend, Beru. As you might've guessed, my dad and your mom finally got married. Guess that makes us brothers."

"I came to see her."

"Your mom?," he grows concerned, "Maybe you should come inside."

Cleigg Lars swings around the house on a small floating chair. One of his legs is heavily bandaged; the other is missing. He balances awkwardly and puts out a hand to shake Anakin's.

"It's good to see you again, son," Cleigg tells him.

"I'm sensing a lot of unease," Anakin grows impatient, "Do you mind telling me where Mom is?"

He nods sorrowfully, "It was just before dawn. They came out of nowhere. A hunting party of Tusekn Raiders. Your mother had gone out early, like she always did, to pick mushrooms that grow on the vaporatos. From the tracks, she was about halfway when they took her. Those Tuskens walk like men, but they're vicious, mindless monsters. Thirty of us went out after her. Four of us came back. Three more are still out there looking. I'd be with them, only... I just couldn't ride any more... until I heal," Cliegg grimaces, easing his throbbing leg, "This isn't how your mother and I planned it. I don't want to give up on her, but she's been gone a month. There's little hope she's lasted this long."

"I'm so sorry, Anain," tears begin to well in Padme's eyes.

"No, she has to be out there somewhere!"

"She's gone," Owen grows bitter, "Maybe if you were here, you could've fought them off."

Anakin turns in a rage, almost as if to strike. Everyone grows silent and Anakin calms himself before turning toward the door.

"Where are you going?," Padme asks.

"To find my mother... I can feel her pain, and I will find her. I know she's alive."

He leaves her behind. Not long after that, he jets across the desert on a speeder bike.
