Two years after Astrid was born. Daniel is three years old, same with Hiccup. All three started walking on their own. Daniel's room was a door down on the left side of Astrid's room while Hiccup was down a hallway on the opposite side of end of Daniel and Astrid's room.

Now that Hiccup started walking on his feet, every morning he wake up, get dressed and be at Astrid's door waiting next to a guard.

Daniel would walk out of his room and walk down to his sister's room to see Hiccup standing there and say "are you thinking of being my sister's personal guard?"

Hiccup would respond with "I'm thinking about it to like help you out in protecting her from guys that want abuse her or hurt her."

Daniel smirks "you want to be more with my sister?"

Hiccup sighs "I don't think she would want me more than just a friend right now, besides we're only three years old Dan."

Daniel smirks "keep telling yourself that."

Astrid came out of her room dress in play shirt and play pants to see her brother and bestfriend and smiles "ready to play tag through the castle?"

Daniel smiles "how about we head down to the stables to look at the horses?"&

Hiccup nervously ask "I don't think our parents would allow us leaving the castle."

Astrid smirks "where's your sense of adventure?"

Daniel and Astrid walk out of the castle down to the stables to see the ponies. Hiccup hang back to watch them.

Ponies were curious about them as well.

A light brown mare with blue streams running along the side of her body started licking Astrid causing her to giggle.

A black stallion pony licked Hiccup from chin to his forehead.

Hiccup complains "I don't think this will wash off."

A dark brown stallion nuzzled

Astrid smiles "I'm going to call you Stormfly!"

Hiccup smiles "I'm going to call my black stallion Fury!"

Daniel smiles "I'm naming this one Crusher."

For a half an hour, they were in the stables brushing their ponies hair.

Next minute Valka screams "Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third! Astrid Hofferson! Daniel Hofferson! You three are in so much trouble being out here without supervision!"

Astrid and Daniel bow there head in trouble.

Hiccup walks up to his mom and says "it was my idea, mom. I was curious about this building and the horses inside it, but we formed a bond with these ponies."

Valka sighs "we will talk about this in private, but you said you three form bonds with these ponies that the King and Queen bought?"

Astrid smiles excitedly "yeah, it's exciting. We been brushing their coats."

Daniel, Astrid and Hiccup followed Valka back to the castle to the throne room.

Valka smiles "I found them, your highness!"

Alistair ask "where were they?"

Valka answers "they were in the stables bonding with the three new ponies that you bought."

Ingrid scowls "you three could have gotten injured interacting with those ponies! Who's idea was it?!"

Hiccup stepped forward and said "it was my idea, Queen Ingrid. I was curious about the stables and the horses that live in there."

King Alistair "boy, do you have any idea, how dangerous that is without adult supervision?!"

Valka clears her throat to get Alistair and Ingrid's attention.

Alistair and Ingrid turn to Valka to see what she has to say."

Valka smiles "maybe first, could you excuse your son and daughter for a minute to talk to Hiccup alone?"

Alistair and Ingrid look at each other and back, before nodding their heads.

Stoick took Daniel and Astrid outside the throne room to wait.

Ingrid sternly ask "now Hiccup, what are you not telling us?"

Hiccup twiddle with his fingers nervously "it was Daniel's idea to go to the stables to see the horses. I told him that we weren't allowed outside the castle without adult supervision."

Alistair sternly ask "why are you lying for them and taking the heat for it then?"

Hiccup nervously answers "I was trying to protect the Prince and Princess from getting in trouble."

Ingrid smiles at his bold move and gets up and goes over to him and hugs him "do you think I can trust you to protect my son and daughter from danger?"

Hiccup smiles "I will do my best to protect them both."

Ingrid smiles "your such a brave boy to take the heat for those two."

Hiccup smiles "their my friends."

Valka pipes in "and for that, you get a warning. No more leaving the castle."

Hiccup smiles "yes, mom."

Alistair shouts "Stoick! You can bring them back in!"

Stoick opens the door for Daniel and Astrid to walk back inside the throne room.

Daniel and Astrid sighs "we're sorry for leaving the castle and going to the stables to see the ponies."

Hiccup, Daniel and Astrid left the throne room and go play together.

Alistair rubs his forehead "Hiccup is going to be taking the heat for anything, those two do."

Ingrid smiles "just like a protector."

Stoick curious ask "anymore letters from this DB guy?"

Alistair sighs "not since Astrid was born."

Daniel and Astrid followed Hiccup around the castle exploring every passageway and secret passageways between rooms.

Astrid smiles "this is way more better than playing tag."

Daniel smirks "I know."

Astrid smiles "let's play hide and seek and have Hiccup find us."

They sneak away to room and hide inside.

Astrid hide in a closet while Daniel hides behind a dresser.

Hiccup turned around to see Astrid and Daniel gone and says "great! Now they can be in anyone of these rooms."

He opens one door and says "Marco?!"

He shuts the door and moves down to the next door and opens it and says "Marco?!"

No answer and moves down to the next door and opens it and says "Marco?!"

He receives a giggle and says "oh, now I definitely know one or both of you are in here and I'm thinking Astrid is the one giggling and I think when I find you Astrid, I'm going to tickle you!"

Astrid laughs giving away her hiding spot.

Hiccup looked at the closet and whispers "Astrid in the closet and Daniel somewhere in this room."

He looks around the room and says "Daniel! I'm going to kiss your sister because I know where she is hiding! You better come out and stop me!"

Daniel comes out from behind the dresser and says "your not kissing my sister if I have the chance to stop y-"

Hiccup standing in the middle of the room laughing.

After he calms down from laughing, he yells "Astrid! You can come out of the closet now!"

Astrid opens the closet door and says "eww."

Hiccup laughs "do you two really think I'm going to kiss her when we are only three and two years old?"

Daniel ask "then why did you say that for?"

Hiccup smirks "so you would come out of your hiding place. Astrid already gave herself up by giggling."

Astrid blushes "then I guess I'm it?"

Daniel smiles "yes."

Hiccup smiles "only in the rooms in this hallway."

Astrid closes her eyes while Hiccup and Daniel left the room to go hide. Daniel goes two doors down and hides inside the room.

Hiccup went down five doors to hide inside a room.

He finds a bed and feels around the wall to find a passageway and hide inside.

Daniel hid under the bed.

Astrid walks down the hallway opening a door and says "Marco?"

No response, so she goes down to the next door and opens it and says "Marco?!"

Daniel doesn't say anything.

Astrid smirks "well if my brother isn't in this room, then maybe I'll have better luck at finding Hiccup and tickle him until he can't breathe and maybe force him to lay in a bed next to me."

Daniel gasped "if you do that, baby sister, and then dad will think that he was trying to seduce you!"

He covers his mouth with his hands, not believing that he just said that.

Astrid looks around the room and lifts the cover and says "found you, big brother and dad would have to get through me to get to my bestfriend."

Daniel crawls out from under the bed and says "bestfriend? Don't you mean boyfriend?"

Astrid sticks out her tongue "ewww."

Daniel rolls his eyes at her.

Astrid and Daniel look through every door calling "Marco?!"

Hiccup didn't respond to their calls.

Astrid frustrated screams "HICCUP, IF YOU DON'T COME OUT RIGHT NOW! WHEN I FIND YOU, I'M GOING TO TICKLE YOU UNTIL YOU PEE YOUR PANTS!"

Hiccup comes out of the passageway and out of the room and says "really? Your going to tickle me until I pee my pants?"

Astrid and Daniel turn around to see Hiccup standing behind them.

Astrid blushes not knowing what this thing is between her and Hiccup that is so confusing to her.

Daniel gaped at his baby sister's reaction to Hiccup's complaint.

They head to the dining room to see Stoick, Valka, Spitelout, a boy, Mr. And Mrs. Thorston and twins, Mr. Ingerman and a boy, and King Alistair and Queen Ingrid.

Daniel ask "what is going on here?"

King Alistair smiles "hi son and daughter, Hiccup."

Daniel and Astrid smiles "mom and dad."

Ingrid smiles "let me introduce you to Snotlout Jorgenson, Spitelout's son and Fishlegs Ingerman, Mr. Ingerman's son and Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston, Mrs. Thorston's son and daughter."

Astrid curious ask "what are they doing in this room?"

Alistair smiles "well daughter, Ruffnut Thorston is going to be your personal maid servant and Tuffnut Thorston will be Daniel's personal maid servant. Fishlegs Ingerman and Snotlout Jorgenson are going to be training to be squires when they turn thirteen. After they pass the test to become knights, they will be assigned as your personal guards for when you two leave the castle. Right now, their just kids."

Astrid looks at the kids and says "if these two are going to become my personal guards, I would like to add one more to the team as leader."

Alistair curious ask "and who would be the leader of your personal guard?"

Astrid turns to Hiccup and says "him."

Alistair, Stoick, Spitelout, Fisher gaped at her appointing Hiccup as leader.

Spitelout scowls "princess, that boy couldn't possibly have strength to protect you from dangers with those little arms."

Princess Astrid scowls back "I don't care about his strength, he is very crafty with his brain to outsmart enemies in seconds! Plus I like how is outside my door waiting for me to wake up and get dressed and greets me good morning and tells me goodnight and ask about my night. So yeah, I choose Hiccup as leader of my personal guard team."

Duke Spitelout scowls "my lord, you can't let that boy be leader to protect your daughter from dangers!"

King Alistair looks at his wife and asks "we have a formal party coming up in a week, right?"

Queen Ingrid smiles "yes we do, dear and I'm curious if young Hiccup here can pass this test to protect our daughter from danger."

Hiccup gulps and looks at Astrid and says "I won't fail you princess."

Snotlout smirks "I highly doubt that you could possibly protect the princess from danger!"

Hiccup smiles "I think I can handle being the leader of the guards to protect the princess."

Snotlout smirks "we will see about that but if you fail the test, then you will stop hanging around the princess and her brother forever."

Princess Astrid smirks "you sure about him failing to protect me?"

Snotlout smirks "I absolutely believe he will fail the test!"

Princess Astrid scowls "and if he pass the test, you owe him an apology and to my family members, deal?"

Snotlout smirks "deal!"

Astrid smirks "oh, I forgot to mention that if he pass the test, you have to like him being more than just my personal protector, but my very close bestfriend like sweethearts."
