Hiccup gulps "uh princess Astrid, are you sure that I can pass this test?"

Astrid smiles "I have hope in you, Hiccup. Plus I know you won't fail this test."

Hiccup sat next to Astrid while eating dinner.

After dinner Astrid decides to leave the room and tells a kitchen servant "would you mind bringing two mugs of hot chocolate to my bedroom?" And turns to Hiccup "care to join me on my balcony to watch the stars?"

Hiccup smiles "if you insist and being the princess, how can I turn down your offer."

Hiccup and Astrid leave the room and head to Astrid's bedroom.

All the adults watch Princess Astrid leave with Hiccup Haddock following her out of the room in shock.

Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut and Fishlegs couldn't believe princess Astrid invite Hiccup into her room for a hot chocolate date watching the stars on her balcony.

Daniel laughs at their reaction "you all act surprised that she would invite him for hot chocolate, when he acts like a nobleman around her and shows her that he cares for her."

Spitelout scowls "my lord, are you going to let your daughter invite a boy into her room for a mug of hot chocolate and watch the stars?"

Alistair sighs "Spitelout Jorgenson, you are a knight trainer. Stoick is my advisor on things concerning public relations and I don't think there is anything wrong with my daughter invite her bestfriend to a mug of hot chocolate and watching the stars."

Ingrid smirks "I find it cute."

Valka smiles "as do I."

Snotlout scowls "what is going on between Princess Astrid and Hiccup Haddock?!"

Stoick smiles "I don't know, nephew."

Astrid and Hiccup arrived at her door and Hiccup opens the door for her causing her to blush at the gesture.

Hiccup grins after you princess."

Astrid giggles at him.

They walk into the room and walk over to the balcony to look at the stars in the sky.

Hiccup looks at the stars with Astrid wondering what this thing between them that feels more than bestfriends, but unknown.

A kitchen servant brought a tray carrying two mugs of hot chocolate for them.

Hiccup and Astrid watch the stars light up the sky, picking out constellations while drinking hot chocolate.

After they were done with their hot chocolate, they continue picking out constellations until they yawn feeling tired.

Three hours later Queen Ingrid and Valka opened the door to Astrid's chambers to see Astrid asleep in her bed with Hiccup asleep next to her.

Ingrid whispers "awww, they look so cute sleeping next to each other."

Valka giggles softly and goes over by Astrid's bed and picks up Hiccup and the two leave the chambers.

Once Hiccup is in his own bed, Valka heads to her bed to sleep for the night.

Next morning "Hiccup woke up in his own bed wondering how he ended up in his own bed when he fell asleep next to Astrid in her own bed.

He gets change and leaves his room to go wait outside Astrid's bed chambers.

When Astrid opens the door to her bed chamber to see Hiccup waiting outside for her to wake up and get dressed, she smiles at him.

Hiccup smiles at her "good morning, princess Astrid."

Astrid smiles "good morning Hiccup."

They leave to go meet up with Daniel to see what they can do today.

Daniel and Astrid spent the day getting to know their personal maids while Hiccup had to get to know his guard teammates.

Fishlegs was smart as Hiccup but Hiccup was a genius at strategy solving problems.

Snotlout became jealous that the princess appointed his cousin to be leader over him and arrogant, always arguing over guard plans for any situation that the princess could find herself in and get her out of it.

A week later, in the morning Hiccup was waiting outside Princess Astrid's bed chambers, when King Alistair approached him and said "young Hiccup, you are needed at the guards quarter for briefing plans."

Hiccup smiles "okay, I'll head that way after greeting Princess Astrid good morning."

Alistair sighs "how about I tell her you said good morning to her and head there now?"

Hiccup sighs "she gets upset when I don't greet her personally."

Alistair sighs frustrated "she will get over it. Now report to guard quarters!"

Astrid opens the door to see her father scowling at her bestfriend and asks "what is going on here?"

Alistair smiles "hello daughter, I was trying to get Hiccup to report to the guard quarters to brief his teammates for tonight's first formal party since you were born and he refuses to leave your bed chamber because he has to greet you personally or you get upset."

Astrid smiles "actually I do get upset, because him being here to greet me good morning shows me that he cares about me as a person instead of a heir to the throne."

Alistair gaped at her defense for Hiccup and growls "after your done greeting my daughter, report to the guard quarters" and leaves the corridor.

Hiccup turns to Astrid and says "good morning Princess Astrid. Did you sleep well?"

Astrid smiles "I slept good last night. You better hurry to the guard quarters. You don't want them to get mad at you for making them wait on you."

Hiccup decides to hug her before leaving her bed chamber.

Astrid stood in shock that Hiccup hugged her.

Astrid reported to the throne room to sit beside her mom while her brother sat beside their father.

Ingrid whispers in her daughter's ear "your father feels uncomfortable with how close you and Hiccup are."

Astrid whispers back "we are bestfriends and he shouldn't worry about us, because we are just friends even though there is this feeling between us that is strange to us, but it binds us together."

Ingrid smirks "oh, does it feel like when you see each other, you both are very happy to see each other?"

Astrid blushes "yes, something like that, but a little more than bestfriends."

Ingrid smiles "I'll tell you what that feeling is when you turn thirteen."

Astrid nods her head in understanding.

The announcer blows his trumpet and says "Presenting Duke Mogadon De Carne and his son Thuggory Tete De Carne of Meathead Kingdom!"

"Next is squire Dogsbreath from island of Berk."

"Lord Alvin De Traitre of Outcast Kingdom."

"Lord Arvid, knight for higher."

"Lord Sven The Fat, advisor looking for a job."

"Lord Ack of Island of Berk, knight for higher."

"Lord Oswald 'The Agreeable' Berserker and his son Dagur Berserker and his daughter Heather Berserker of Berserker Kingdom."

King Alistair smiles "welcome to the Kingdom of Berk. The first formal party since my daughter was born almost three years ago."

Astrid whispers to her mom "where's my personal protector at?"

Ingrid sighs "I don't know where he is, daughter."

Each of the guest talked with King Alistair and Queen Ingrid.

Soon Hiccup walked in the room dressed in a guard uniform and walked over to Astrid's side and says "sorry I'm late to the party."

Astrid gaped "HICCUP!"

Everyone stop chatting to look at the princess to see her get up and hug him tightly.

Hiccup wraps his arms around her "miss you too."

Astrid nuzzles his neck "I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up to be my personal protector."

Ingrid smirks "are you two going to take your seats or show everyone that you are boyfriend and girlfriend?"

Both Hiccup and Astrid blush before laughing at themselves.

Hiccup smirks "I guess we do look like boyfriend and girlfriend."

Astrid sits down next to her mother, while Hiccup stands beside her.

When people started dancing, Hiccup walks forward and ask "would you like a drink?"

Astrid smiles "I would like a glass of fruit punch, please?"

Hiccup leaves and walks over to the drink table to pour a glass of fruit punch. When he turns around, he sees a boy talking to Astrid.

He looks at Daniel who was talking to Tuffnut and looks back at Astrid who was having an uncomfortable expression on her face and walks up to them "hey, dear, I got you your fruit punch that you ask me to get you. So who's the boy?"

Astrid smiles "this is Thuggory Tete De Carne who is like your cousin Snotlout."

Thuggory curious ask "and you are?"

Hiccup smiles "Astrid's personal protector."

Astrid blushes "actually" and whispers in Hiccup's ear something.

Hiccup blinks once and ask "are you sure you want to go with that introduction?"

Astrid blushes "yes!"

Hiccup smiles "okay, then" and wraps his right arm around her waist.

Astrid smiles "Hiccup here is also my boyfriend."

Thuggory smirks "sure keep telling yourself that" and leaves to mingle with little girls.

Astrid takes a sip of the fruit punch and says "thank you for coming to my rescue. How did you know that I needed help?"

Hiccup whispers in her ear "I saw your uncomfortable expression on your face. So what did he say to make you uncomfortable?"

Astrid shyly ask "would you care to dance with me?"

Hiccup smiles "if you want too, I would feel honored to dance with you, milady."

Astrid smiles and takes his hand and leads him to the dance floor.

She place his right hand on her waist and holds his left hand with her right hand while her left hand rest on his shoulder.

They begin dancing around in a circle.

He twirls her around the floor.

King Alistair and Queen Ingrid watch them dance together.

Daniel watched Hiccup closely making sure his hand doesn't touch his sister's butt.

Stoick and Valka watch them as well.

Valka smirks "they dance together like they are in sync with each other."

Stoick smiles "Hiccup might be marrying Princess Astrid when they are old enough or if Astrid ask him to marry her."

Valka smiles "they look perfect for each other."

While Hiccup and Astrid dance together, everyone turned to watch the "princess dance with a boy like their in love with each other.

After the band stop playing, Astrid ask "can we go sit down by my parents?"

Hiccup smiles "sure, but you know your the princess, so I'm supposed to follow your command."

Astrid blushes and says "come on, lover boy."

They walk back to the chairs by the Queen and Astrid sits down beside her mom while Hiccup stands at her side.

Party went on for a while.

Guest got a chance to talk with the princess.

Snotlout talked with two boys while Hiccup watched them.

Thuggory and Dogsbreath glanced at the princess a couple of times with suspicion grins.

Hiccup whispers in Astrid's ear "I'm going to talk with my dad about a request."

Astrid whispers back "should I be concerned about this request?"

Hiccup smiles "not at all."

He leaves and walks over to where his parents are at.

Fishlegs walked over to the princess Astrid and stood guard.

Astrid realizes she has to go to the bathroom and tells Fishlegs.

Fishlegs escort her out of the Ball Room, down a corridor to a bathroom and stood outside while Astrid uses the bathroom.

While Astrid went to the bathroom, Snotlout approached Fishlegs and says "Fishface, why don't you go back to the Ball Room? I'll escort the princess back to the Ball Room, besides, I think that girl that you had eyes for was wanting a dance with you."

Fishlegs ask in excitment "really?!"

Snotlout nods "yes! Now go before she change her mind!"

Fishlegs runs back to the Ball Room.

Snotlout smirks "what a sucker for girls" and meets Thuggory and Dogsbreath and says "your clear to hide the Princess for two hours to hold captive."

Thuggory smirks "where should we hold her captive for two hours?"

Snotlout grins "in the Dining Hall" and leaves heading back to the Ball Room.

Astrid washes her hands and leaves the bathroom to see Fishlegs gone and begins to get anxiety from not having a guard to protect her.

Soon a pair of hands grabbed her arms and put a napkin over her mouth and nose causing her to pass out.

Thuggory and Dogsbreath carry the Princess over to the Dining Hall and set her up in a chair and tape her hands to the chair's arm rest and leave the scene before she wakes up.
