For Revenge of the Sith, the following major changes have occurred...
1) Darth Maul effectively takes the place of General Grevious.
2) The story takes place over a longer time period so as to expand Order 66, showcase Anakin's hunting of the Jedi, introduce Luke and Leia earlier, etc.
3) I add a subplot involving the "Darth Vader" persona I introduced in Attack of the Clones.
War! The Republic is crumbling
under attacks by the ruthless
Sith Lord, Count Dooku.
There are heroes on both sides.
Evil is everywhere.
In a stunning move, the
fiendish Darth Maul, has swept into the
Republic capital and kidnapped
Chancellor Palpatine, leader of
the Galactic Senate.
As the Separatist Droid Army
attempts to flee the besieged
capital with their valuable
hostage, two Jedi Knights lead a
desperate mission to rescue the
captive Chancellor...
A republic attack cruiser is under attack from multiple Seperatist fighters while more cruisers fight in the background. Two Jedi Starfighters swoop down and head toward an enemy Battle Cruiser. The Jedi Fighters dip and swerve as they maneuver in unison, dodging flack and enemy laser fire. A giant space battle is revealed as the tiny Jedi ships continue their assault in a synchronous ballet. In the cockpit of his ship, Obi-Wan bounces through the flack with a frown. His ship rocks violently. Anakin smiles as he blasts a Trade Federation Droid Drop fighter.
"The Seperatists must be desperate to kidnap Chancellor Palpatine," Anakin says over radio, "Darth Maul is not going to get away with this. It's crazy even for him."
"Darth Maul is insane but he never acts unless his master commands it," Obi-Wan reminds him, "When it comes to the Sith, there is always a hidden plan."
The two fighters swerve in unison as four Trade Federation fighters attack. After the Jedi part ways and snap back, two of the fighters collide with each other in a ball of flame. The remaining two open fire form behind.
"We've got to split them up," Obi-Wan makes a hard swerve to avoid a close attack.
"Break left, fly through the guns on that tower," Anakin advises.
Obi-Wan flies to the left of a huge tower on a Republic cruiser. The two droid fighters follow, "Easy for you to say . . . why am I always the bait?"
"Don't worry, Master Kenobi. I'm coming around behind you."
Obi-Wan deftly maneuvers around a large Starship's superstructure, but the two fighters stay on his tail, blasting him with intense laser fire. Anakin rises behind them and blasts away at the second fighter. The first fighter dips down and attempts to come up from below with a series of blasts.
"I'm going down on the deck," Obi-Wan tells him.
"Good idea ... I need some room to maneuver."
Obi-Wan dives toward the surface of one of the larger Trade Federation battleship and is forced to fly through a maelstrom of laser flack kicked up by other ships. He skims the surface, followed by the droid fighter, which is followed by Anakin. "Cut right. Do you hear me?! Cut right. Don't let him get a handle on you," Anakin calls out. On his console, crosshairs merge on the droid fighter.
"Hurry up!," Obi-Wan commands as he dodges debris from a destroyed ship. He flies through a narrow gap between two towers on a Battleship. The droid fighter hits one of Obi-Wan's wings with a laser blast, and parts of the ship go flying around Obi-Wan's Astro Droid.
R-4 beeps a blue streak and Obi-Wan replies, "Don't even try to fix it, R-5. I've shut it down. Anakin?... Any time now."
"We're locked on ... we've got him . . .," he drops in behind the fighter and blows him apart.
"Next time you're the bait . . . Now let's find the Command Ship and get on with it ..."
"Master, Darth Maul's ship is directly ahead," Anakin notices droids stationed along the hull of the ship, "The one crawling with vulture droids."
"I see it. Oh, this is going to be easy."
The vulture fighters transform into flight configuration, lift off the cruiser, and attack the Jedi starfighters. They pass at high speed from the left. All hell breaks loose. Obi-Wan and Anakin continue to fly in unison, backing up each other. The Jedi ships split up and make a quick loop around the droids, ending up behind them, blasting away. They quickly explode. More show up and force them to separate under a hail of blaster fire.
In one incredible move, Anakin swings in behind one fighter, blowing it away one by one until there is only one left. He accelerates past the last fighter, slams on his brakes, flips the Fighter around, and blasts the Fighter from the front. His astro droid gives off a warning as he takes a close shot across the hull.
Obi-Wan swoops down, lowing a droid apart as he notices his former padawan is in some trouble, "Anakin, you have four on your tail."
"I know. I know!"
Anakin swoops low and skims across a battleship, dodging flack as his astro droid bounces along, trying to get out a sentence, "Hang on, R-7. Obi-Wan, do you copy? I'm going to pull them through the needle . "
"Too dangerous," Obi-Wan tells him, "First Jedi rule: Survive."
"Sorry, no choice. Come down here and thin them out a little."
Obi-Wan drops in behind the droid vulture fighters chasing Anakin. R-4 beeps to Obi-Wan, "Just keep me steady . . . hold on ... not yet. . . now break left."
Obi-Wan fires as he swings across the back of the vulture droids, blasting four of them away. Anakin heads for a trench along the surface of one of the Trade Federation Battleships. He flies into the trench, which ends in a conning tower with a small slit between two main struts. "Anakin?," Obi-Wan becomes worried as he notices the narrow path. Anakin slips through the narrow gap. The trailing vulture droids smash into the surface. "I'm through," Anakin reports.
Obi-Wan continues to fire on the droids, driving them into the explosion. A clone fighter is hit and explodes, spewing debris with the pilot spinning off into space. Finally, Obi-Wan peels off and swings around, pulling up alongside Anakin. A Clone Fight Squad battles the remaining droids as they join the Jedi.
"There are too many of them," one clone reports.
"I'm on your wing," the squad leader commands, "Break left. Break left. They're all over me. Get them off my . . .," his ship explodes under fire.
"I'm going to go help them out!," Anakin begins to veer toward them.
"No, no!," Obi-Wan shouts, "They are doing their job so we can do ours. Head for the Command Ship!"
"Then I suggest you stay on my wing, Master . . . the General's Command Ship is dead ahead... Head for the hangar."
"Have you noticed the shields are still up?"
"Oh?! Sorry, Master," Anakin streaks ahead of Obi-Wan's Jedi Fighter and blasts the shield generator. It sparks and explodes.
"Oh, I have a bad feeling about this," Obi-Wan groans.
The shield door drops away, and Obi-Wan crashes on the deck of the hangar bay, engulfed in a fantail of sparks. A set of blast doors starts slamming shut across the hangar opening, as material is sucked into space. Anakin maneuvers around the oncoming junk and flies into the hangar just as the blast doors slam shut.
"I'm in."
