The blast doors slam shut. Obi-Wan ignites his light saber and cuts his way out of the cockpit of his downed fighter, then jumps dear just as his ship explodes from a security canon. Anakin likewise leaps free as his fighter is blasted apart. Battle droids rush at them from all directions as they enter the hangar. They deflect the blaster fire back at them as they come in close. The droids that were not shot down are quickly sliced apart. A Seperatist R2 droid chirps in alarm and tries to flee, but Obi-Wan uses the Force to hold it in place.

"We need to locate the Chancellor," he begins, "We will not hurt you."

"Tap into the ship's computers," Anakin commands.

They follow the droid over to a computer wall socket. The droid pops open a compartment and a port slides out which it inserts into the computer. Soon, a hologram of the Trade Federation ship appears.

"The Chancellor's signal is coming from right there," Obi-Wan enlarges the hologram and points to a particular section, "The observation platform at the top of that spire. Darth Maul is somewhere on this ship as well."

"There may be two Sith onboard, Master. I sense Count Dooku," Anakin tells him, "That means the Supreme Commander and the Head of State are in the same place. If we take out both leaders, it would be a great victory for the Republic."

"Indeed, but I sense a trap."

"Next move?"

"Spring the trap."

On the bridge of the ship, Darth Maul watches the dogfight outside. A Nemodian Captain approaches.

"Lord Maul, two Jedi have entered the main hangar bay."

"Just as my master predicted. Prepare the escape pods."

"Sir?"

"This has been foreseen. My task here is finished."

"What of the Chancellor?"

"Count Dooku can deal with that situation."

Anakin and Obi-Wan head for the elevator. A door opens in the hallway and two caped guard droids stand in their way with electric staffs.

"General Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker. We've been waiting for you," one of the guards announces.

"We are here to relieve you of Chancellor Palpatine," Obi-Wan ignites his lightsaber and Anakin follows his lead. The guards spin their staffs around as they crackle with energy. Down the hall, a large white droid climbs along the wall and ceiling and flips down, landing behind the Jedi.

"Hello there," Obi-Wan says as he turns to face the new threat.

"That's one I haven't seen before," Anakin exclaims.

"I have been programmed to deal with Jedi scum like you!," the droid growls as two saber-like devices emerge from his palms. He raises his arms and they snap apart and separate into four limbs, each with a red lightsaber blade.

"I'll take the guard droids," Anakin turns back to fight the guards.

"Thanks," Obi-Wan rolls his eyes.

The Saber droid begins spinning his top blades as he drags his bottom blades toward Obi-Wan, creating a deadly barrier that reaches across the hallway. The two guards spin their staffs with Anakin deflecting their attacks, then ducking one swipe and leaping over the attack from behind. Obi-Wan shoves his blade into the center of the two spinning blades coming toward him, forcing the droid to block. The droid turns as its two right blades swing at Obi-Wan. He ducks under it, then brings his blade up, slicing off the bottom left arm. The droid brings his remaining three blades down, forcing Obi-Wan to block. The force of the blow knocks him to the ground. He throws his hand up, which launches the droid into the ceiling where he bounces off and lands far away. Anakin forces the staff of one guard into its partner, which sends an electric shock across its body, temporarily stunning it. He then twists the staff out of its grip, holding both weapons. He turns, swiping one guard across the face with the staff, then decapitates the stunned droid with his saber. He finishes the second droid off by slicing it down the center. The decapitated droid picks up the dropped staff, spins it around and begins to thrust it at Anakin who barely has the chance to turn around and block each thrust. The saber droid bends backwards while on the floor, eventually rolling onto its feet as Obi-Wan advances and slices off another limb. The droid raises a leg and kicks Obi-Wan several feet. The saber droid comes at him with twin blades and Obi-Wan quickly finds himself deflecting two blades as he backs up. Behind him, Anakin slices the guard droid's staff in half, then spins, chopping it in half. Obi-Wan notices the broken electric staff on the guard and quickly calls it to his hand using the Force. He then uses the weapon to defend against both blades, driving the saber droid back before shoving the staff into its chest to stun it, then chopping its head off with the saber.

"We have to keep going or they'll move the Chancellor off the ship," Anakin warns.

"They won't move him... I think Dooku wants us to come to him."

They get into the elevator and Anakin pushes a button, "Like you said... it's a trap."

The elevator door opens and the two Jedi carefully make their way into the main room of the General's Quarters with a large window behind him displaying the battle. At the far end sits Supreme Chancellor Palaptine. Anakin and Obi-Wan move toward him, lightsabers at the ready. As they get closer to Palpatine, they see a very distressed look on the Chancellor's face.

Obi-Wan bows, "Chancellor."

"Are you all right, sir?," Anakin asks as he bows.

Palpatine quietly motions behind them as he whispers, "Count Dooku."

Dooku strides into the room from another doorway, "Once again, I am Darth Tyrannus." He is above the Jedi, standing on a balcony, with two super battle droids. He looks down on the Jedi, "I'm glad to see Darth Maul's foolishness has brought the two of you to me. Now, not only will the Chancellor be under our control but I'll have killed two of the Republic's commanders."

"This time we will do it together," Obi-Wan whispers.

"I was about to say that," Anakin responds.

Dooku jumps down to the main level, "Skywalker,... The medics have done a fine job constructing a new arm for you."

"Your mind games won't work this time," Anakin tells him.

"If you stop him now, the Sith will be destroyed," Palpatine tells them, "The Seperatists will be defeated."

"We won't let you down, sir," Anakin tells him.
