Note: I don't know when in the show's timeline Hit List takes place, so I just assumed it was mid September. Thanks for all the kind reviews up to this point!
'Today is Thanksgiving. I was doing some thinking today. On my life. And about what my people are probably doing today. And feeling a bit lonely. No one here really likes to talk or do much of anything. Except for one of the tech guys, but I think it's because I remind him of someone.'
'Anyways, here's where that info led to…'
'As it turned out, the people who one of the suspects we apprehended in Mexico said knew who the ring's kingpin was, didn't actually know him!'
'So, we were at a dead end. Which meant having to keep apprehending suspects until one of them told us who was really in charge.'
'Months went on, traveling to different places all the time, different undercover assignments. Like a maid, a barista, even the owner of a singing joint!'
'It was mid September. We had finished apprehending more criminals and rescuing more girls. This time, we rescued boys as well.'
'Seeing them the way they were, never failed to bother me.'
'One criminal said that he had info on who was really in charge. And, others that we had captured said the same thing.'
'I was suspicious, but that really did sound legit.'
'They said the kingpin was in France. So, off to France we went!'
''The place we were looking for was a warehouse in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere.'
'I wondered who I was going to go undercover as, then I was informed I was going to be a part of the rescue squad for once! My CIA friend finally came through for me.'
'This was a tricky one, because this kingpin was notorious for covering his tracks up good. We very carefully managed to slip in some cameras in.'
'And what they revealed was quite a shock: Over 40 girls, and 10 boys. Some looked like teenagers! I was lucky I didn't feel like throwing up!'
'We eventually were able to raid the warehouse. I wasn't a pretty battle this time. 2 of our own were injured, and 1 was killed. But, we were able to rescue everyone, including capturing the kingpin.'
'Did I get to do anything? I got to shoot a few crooks, even got to kick one in the kneecap. And it felt really good!'
'I thought this was it. We would get the information we needed to take down the rest of the ring, and I would get to go home.'
'Then the worst thing happened: Somehow, the kingpin managed to slip in cyanide pills, and killed himself!'
'That meant we had no idea how we were going to take down the whole human trafficking ring!'
'I was very shocked. And worried I would never be able to go home. And I was desperate to talk to my team. I went to my CIA buddy and asked him if there was anyway I could call someone.'
'I told him that we didn't know how long it would take to take down the whole ring, and that my team meant more to me then anything, and that if I was to stay on the mission, I would need to let someone know I was still alive!'
'He relented. Gave me an untraceable phone and a voice distorter. It was nighttime in LA, and I knew who to call.'
'I couldn't tell him anything about what I was doing, so I ended up saying some things that I wish I could take back.'
'It was the worst call I've ever made.'
'After I hung up, I ran to my room, and cried, and cried, and cried. I think I even cried myself to sleep. They were going to be so worried!'
'I think I better stop this right now before I start crying again over remembering that.'
