Obi-Wan and Anakin sit in a meditation room, facing one another. They both appear saddened and the air is heavy.
"This figure gave me dark premonitions of the future," Anakin explains, "He called himself Darth Vader."
"These sort of visions have plagued Jedi before. Including me. You mustn't listen to what it tells you."
"It told me about the future. I had similar visions when my mother died. I think it's telling the truth."
"If you give too much power to it, it will betray and murder you."
"Perhaps, but... what if it is telling the truth. What if people will die."
"What did it tell you exactly? Who will die?"
"I told me Padme will die... and that our child will be lost," Anakin allows his words to sink in.
Obi-Wan solemnly contemplates this statement and quietly tells him, "I would be lying if I said I never suspected anything between you and Padme. Although I didn't want to believe it."
"I understand. I know what this means for all of us."
"I do not wish to expel you from the Jedi Order. Not just because of my feelings or your heroism during the Clone Wars,... but I still truly believe you are the Chosen One."
"There was a time I thought the same thing. Perhaps the living Force has other plans. That said, I do not wish to cause you any distress. I will step down so that you will not be forced to expel me," Anakin hands his lightsaber to Obi-Wan, "My child will likely be strong in the Force. I want you to train my son... or my daughter. Give them my lightsaber."
"I will be honored to...," Obi-Wan smiles and pushes the saber back to him, "When the time comes. Until then, you must keep it."
"What?"
"The Council fears Chancellor Palpatine will not relinquish his power and will continue this war indefinitely. You are close to him. Perhaps you can influence him."
"Chancellor Palpatine is a wise man. I think he has the best intentions. Besides,... I have defied the rules of the Jedi. I can't stay in the Order. I shouldn't be given any missions regardless of my convictions."
"I realize that, but this situation calls for certain measures."
"So do the Clone Wars."
"I understand your conflict, Anakin. Once this is all over, you can step down. We only ask that you try to get the Chancellor to listen to reason. In the meantime, we will find Darth Maul and end this once and for all. I know how you feel about the Chancellor and his decisions, but even you have to admit this war has to be stopped eventually so that democracy can return."
"I will speak to the Chancellor," Anakin reluctantly concludes, "If he does not listen to me, then what."
"I hope, for everyone's sake, he does."
On the Wookie planet of Kashyyk, a Republic base sits on a beach with a lush swamp behind it. In the distance, Seperatist hovercrafts glide through the large river as bombers soar overhead. Yoda steps out of a door and approaches two Trooper Commanders in camo-armor on a balcony. They use electro-binoculars to see the approaching attack vessels. "Looks like a direct attack, General Yoda," one of the commanders tells him. He looks skyward, "The Seperatist bombers, focus all your fire." Outside the base, anti-aircraft canons fire blasts into the sky. Several bombers explode. One is clipped and it hits the waters below and breaks apart. The canons continue to blast and another is hit, the debris flying back and striking another ship which spirals into the trees off to the side. An explosion follows.
The hovercrafts aim smaller canons and begin to fire at the base. On the beach, Clone Troopers in camo-armor scramble as they try to avoid explosions erupting around them. Some aren't as lucky as explosions send them flying into the air. "Phase Two of defenses, begin," Yoda commands. "Yes, sir," one of the commanders gets on the radio, "Let's see what the Wookies can do." Rotar-ships fly in, each with two propellers on either side. As one ship flies in behind the last bomber, it fires a shot, blasting it out of the sky. They then fly over the hovercrafts, ready for attack. A side-hatch opens and Chewbacca the Wookie peers down with a bow-caster at his side. A battle droid opens through the top-hatch of a hovercraft and attempts to fir eon him but he quickly fires a bolt. The droid's head explodes and its body hits the water at high speed. Chewbacca then grabs a chord and calls out an order in his own language, which sounds like a series of grunts and growls. He leaps out of the ship, swinging on the chord like a vine. Other Wookies follow as they drop out of the ships and swing toward other crafts.
Chewbacca lands on the side of one hovercraft and holds on. He slams an explosive device on the side of the craft then quickly leaps off, grasping the dangling chord and swinging away just as the vehicle explodes. Other Wookies drop on the tops or sides of the other crafts and quickly attatch bombs before swinging away to safety. The crafts explode. One droid pops out of the top-hatch and tries to attack one Wookie, but the Wookkie snatches him up, then throws the droid into the water. He releases a bomb inside the craft and swings into the air before it explodes from the inside. "I'm glad those things are on our side," one of the commanders says derisively. Yoda turns, obviously offended, "Chewbacca and his forces are great allies in this battle. Honored, you should be."
Chewbacca swings through the air while a droid fires at him from the top-hatch of a craft. He lands on the back of a second craft, ducking for cover before laying a bomb on the back end. He leaps back onto the chord and is pulled into the air. The craft below explodes from the back, sending it spinning along the water where it strikes the first craft and smashes it to pieces. On the beach, rocket troopers arm a rocket launcher and fire a missile at a craft. The top portion explodes and the craft dips on its side and skids along the water before disappearing under the surface. Another set of troopers fire a missile which blasts a craft, but as it was approaching shallow water, the debris spins along the water, eventually hopping along the sand. Troopers dive out of the way just as it flies past and explodes against the Republic base wall. Chewbacca hangs out the side-hatch of his ship and raises his blaster in the air as he lets out a victory-roar. The other wookies meet his roar form their ships.
A Trooper in stealth armor comes through the door behind Yoda, "General Yoda. Our forces have infiltrated the Seperatist base."
"What news have you?"
"The army has fled, sir. There was no sign of anyone."
"A diversion, this attack was. Retreat their plan was."
"We checked their radio signals, sir. It seems their last transmission was from the planet Utapau."
Yoda silently contemplates this news.
