Note: I have no idea when in the canon timeline that Joyride took place, I'm assuming it was a couple of days before Christmas.

'Only a couple of days left until Christmas. What are my plans? Drink tea or beer, be thankful I'm not stuck in a cage, and think about my team. So exciting!'

'Anyway. Here's what happened in California…'

'As expected, My CO and CIA buddy weren't pleased at me for 'running off'. I told them that THEY should have told me about the connection and should've given me the choice between going to North Dakota or California.'

'Of course, what they were REALLY concerned about is that I might try to either contact someone on my team, or go to LA to see one of them.'

'I told them that they just had to trust me then.'

'The culprit's lair was an abandoned warehouse, not far from LA.'

'I had to stay with the techs again because there was codes that only I could decipher.'

'Somehow, this takedown was actually pretty easy, considering one of the undercover agents messed up speaking Spanish.'

'That night (which was a couple of nights ago.), I decided to see my team. I wouldn't talk to them, or approach them. I just needed to see that they were still alive.'

'I contacted the janitor at work and asked him what was going on, he said that the Christmas party was going to be at one of my agents bar. I thanked him, and told him to NOT tell anyone it was me who called.'

'I drove up to the bar. I got up close to the building and saw them celebrating, They were all alive.'

'I just stood there, being proud of them, and wishing I could go in there and surprise them.'

'Merry Christmas familia, I hope we can be together again someday.'

'That's what I silently said. Then I left.'

'I hope this mission wraps up soon. I really want to be with them.'

End recording 10.

Endnote: The ending of this is my headcanon that I wrote about in The Missing One, my very 1st piece of fanfic. It's on here if you want to read it.
