CHAPTER 13

FALLING SKIES

Sounds of burning flames went off. Twitching right hand went off. His fingers moved closing and opening. Josh opened his eyes as he stared forward.

Seeing the bits of burning blue flames at the distance. Winds blew in. Josh heard walking foot steps. Struggling to move. Struggling to stand.

Josh gained the strength. Yet only to be kicked back into the ground. Lucio laughed as he kicked his face.

Stabbing the burning rageful Elite sword into his right shoulder. Josh yelled in pain. Feeling the utter urging pain through his wound.

"Arghhaaa!"yelled Josh

"YOU KNOW NOTHING!"yelled Lucio

Lucio looked down towards him. Stomping his chest. Sparks bursted around them. Donny tackled Lucio into the ground. Beating him.

Donny had lost his left hand. His right hand swung rapidly. Hitting Lucio non stop. White blood bursted out. Splashing into the ground.

Josh struggled to stand as he looked towards Donny. Lucio kicked off Donny. He slammed hard into the ground.

Josh rushed towards Lucio grabbing his side SMG. Firing towards him. Lucio cloaked himself. Escaping the gunfire. Josh aimed with one arm.

Lucio rushed out towards him from behind. Swinging randomly struggling to get a hit. Josh moved left then back. Firing as much as he could his SMG.

Bullets flew into Lucio's armor plating. Only to be reflected back to Josh. Looking back towards Donny.

"Donny?! What-"

"I'm fine!"yelled Donny gripping his gushing arm

Lucio swiped the SMG in half as it instantly flew out of Josh's hand. Broken in a perfect two half's. Josh moved back avoiding the quick strike.

Elbowing Lucio and then punching him. Lucio moved back 2 steps. Spitting out purple blood. He yelled as Josh quickly grabbed his shotgun.

Taking aim towards him and firing randomly. Lucio ducked down, yet avoiding the wide spread Donny fired his side arm. Hitting the right elbow of Lucio.

Lucio jumped left. Slamming hard into the ground. Josh aimed again firing his shotgun. Lucio moved rolling left as his cloaking came alive.

Donny grunted aloud and tossed a spike grenade into the wall.

"DOWN!"yelled Donny

Josh dropped to the ground. Lucio was hit by the flying spikes from behind. He flew slamming hard into the ground. Lucio's armor was cracked and pierced.

Josh took aim as he fired off Lucio's right leg.

"Argha!"yelled Lucio in agonizing pain

Josh stood back up. Looking down towards Lucio. aiming his weapon.

"Where is Dansuke"asked Josh

Donny stood up behind him. Noting the finger on the trigger. Ready to kill off Lucio when he gained the chance. Lucio looked towards him.

Spitting out blood. Staring up towards Josh's visor.

"You of all people, fighting to prevent the fore coming...have you any idea what we are meant for? Why you out of all were brought to this life?!"he asked

Josh stared at him. His hand was shaking a bit. Knowing he was different. Unlike others. He was more than just a spartan.

"Dansuke where-"

"Valhalla...where you must go...you'll find out who you are...Forerunner"said Lucio smiling as he dropped back, lying on the ground

Josh was ready to take aim until Donny grabbed his arm. Looking towards him. Josh stared at Lucio. His finger moved away from the trigger.

"Enough, I'll handle Lucio, you need to go and stop Dansuke from doing what he was planning on"said Donny

Josh looked towards him. Thinking of what he meant. Wondering what was the right course. Yet he knew Donny was right.

Josh nodded and headed off. Donny looked at Lucio.

"Kill me you worthless spine!"yelled Lucio

"Your not getting the easy way out, were taking you back either way"said Donny

30 Seconds Later as Josh continues off the elevator...

"Take the ship and head towards Valhalla, just so you know will lose radio contact"said Ares

"Got it, and Ares I want to say I'm sorry"said Josh walking out onto the ruined docking bay floor

Josh rushed with his severe wounds onto a Covenant Banshee. He stared at it. Placing his shotgun on his back.

Computer systems turned on. Blinking rapidly. Checking the scans and conditions.

The banshee lifted up and headed out. Flying into the open solar winds. Pressing hard against Josh's steering.

"There's many awaiting to take this ship back, I won't lie to you"said Ares

"You don't have to Ares, if this was a one way trip then I have nothing to lose"said Josh as his Banshee flew downwards quickly picking up speed

Ares looked at the images of other enemies below. Taking full control himself. Ares began ruining directions and coordinates of others.

Josh's Banshee was being attacked by dozen's of other Banshee's heading back up towards him. Firing at his as he tried as much as he could to avoid.

Left then right. Josh avoided some gunfire. While he was doing this. Parts of falling chunks of debri continued falling past him. Smashing into other Banshee's.

Josh noticed them. Heading towards him. Hurling in quick movements trying to end his life.

"You won't listen will you...You'll fight and fight"said Dansuke over the radio

Josh avoided the incoming attack from the Banshee's. Debri slammed into his right wing. Making his Banshee shift towards whirling away.

"Your not one of them, your more than what they are"continued Dansuke

Debri slammed heavily onto the top half of the Banshee. Causing the Banshee's roof to bend, and dent.

"You'll doom the existence of your own people...for her"said Dansuke

Josh continued to hear his words as he avoided the fighting as best he could. Trying, struggling to reach the massive Forerunner structure named "Valhalla".

Explosions went off from the massive hovering ship above him. Ares yelled aloud Josh's name as debri slammed heavily into his banshee.

Breaking it apart and ruining his control over it.

The collided debri smashed through many ships causing them to head downwards smashing into the lifeless sand.

"Willing to do anything for Her"
