'It's been 2019 for 9 days now. And I'm still fairly homesick.'
'Christmas and New Year's Day was fairly uneventful. Basically, I was by myself the whole time. If I didn't know any better, I think I'm starting to get used to being by myself.'
'Here's what happened a few days ago…'
'Latest human trafficking ring connection led to an old racing circuit in Italy.'
'Because I know my way around cars (I'm a bit of a mechanic. I have a few old cars), I went undercover as a mechanic.'
'Seeing those old cars made me remember this one case 7 years ago my team worked. I also remember one of my agents driving one of my cars to maintain her cover. I was very impressed by her driving.'
'Anyways, this takedown was a bit tricky. 3 of the crooks sped away in 2 cars, it took like 9 minutes to catch one of them, and one of them got away (and was eventually caught a day later.).'
'No, I wasn't part of the chase. Wish I was though, that chase would've been over in a couple of minutes!'
'I was the one who found the victims. 10 girls, 3 of whom were in their 20's. These girls had brands on them, along with signs of malnurishment and beatings. Never gets easier seeing that.'
'Got back to the States today.'
'Earlier, I saw one of the tech guys riding a Segway. I asked him if I could take it for a spin for a bit, and he said yes.'
'9 years ago, one of my tech guys was riding a Segway throughout the office. And I took it for a spin, and really enjoyed it!'
'Now I'm homesick. Sigh. Good night.'
End recording 11.
Endnote: I referenced both Season 5's Omni and Season 1's Full Throttle here. And loved both of those episodes! (FT's ending is one of the funniest endings this show has done!)
