This Chapter now returns to the point of the continuation of the First Chapter in this story. The Chapter named " First Zero".
CHAPTER 14
EARTH
Josh walked through the massive corridor. Large in height and size. Huge. His body was tired. His tired body felt broken. Blood dripped onto the ground.
Josh carried his glowing blue sphere. In his right hand. His shotgun was lost. His Spartan IV suit was battered to the point of broken metal.
His eye sight was going blurry little by little. Yet he knew he had to do this. He knew this was the only way to stop Dansuke.
Josh wondered noticing the scanning lights high above. Lights that scanned bodies of organics. Elites and Grunts bodies lying all around.
He stopped taking in a breather. Josh continued on walking. Wondering what will happen. What does Dansuke want. Reaching the end of the corridor.
Doors opened up and down wards. Josh stared at the massive open room. Noticing Dansuke standing on steps.
Standing and staring forward towards a large Hologram. The large hologram was a map. Large showing the galaxy. Showing locations that glowed.
Sounds of dripping blood splashed onto the ground. Josh stared as he stood. His blue sphere orb glowed brighter. Then light faded slowly on and off.
"Prodigal Son...Forerunners"said Dansuke
"Why do you want them"asked Josh
Dansuke coughed aloud. His left hand showed signs of blood. Looking down towards it. He smiled clenching his hand in anger.
Looking back towards the hologram. Massive in size floating far above his head. The room was large and round. The metal floorboards levitated.
Josh was standing on the only piece of floor that didn't move. Dansuke scanned the galaxy.
"They are a strange bunch of immortals that believe in Honor, Choice, Freedom"said Dansuke
Josh slowly walked forward. Looking at the condition of Dansuke.
"Your life was given to Samuel by them to gain leverage over a God"said Dansuke
His eyes looked at the glowing sphere. Blue light brightly turning on.
"A God?"asked Josh
"Your half Human, Half Forerunner, yet you have never been told the truth...your made to stop his coming, to stop the eradication of life"said Dansuke
"They're all gone, no Forerunner exists now"said Josh
Dansuke laughed. Looking back towards him. Seeing him as he stared at the blue sphere.
"They exist in dormant states waiting to be awakened...to be saved from there maddening nightmare"said Dansuke
"Dansuke...you can't"said Josh
"I plan onto Josh...your father feared them because of what they can do...What they have potential, the will to do in order to shape the future"he continued
Dansuke slammed his right hand down onto the hologram keys. Shifting the Galaxy coordinates. Making other Forerunner structures blinking activate.
Josh jumped across the platform onto the next floating platform. Making his way slowly towards Dansuke.
"You stop me...you end the lives of these dormant people Josh...they are your people, and I am there ally..I will be rewarded for my service!"yelled Dansuke
Josh rushed towards him with all his strength. Heading towards Dansuke as he turned looking back to him.
"Understand them, they will lead us to becoming a new Age"said Dansuke
Josh knocked him down to the ground. Dansuke grunted aloud. Looking desperately back towards him. Josh reached towards the hologram touch pad.
Dansuke said something aloud just before he touched it.
"They can bring her back...Think about it, you were brought back from nothing! You do this...you kill her chance to live again"said Dansuke
He struggled to move. His body was very weakened. His young was long gone. That one knock down basically ended his might.
Yet his voice would forever haunt Josh.
Josh stopped hearing that. Listening to what Dansuke just said. Either let them return to this life and kill all throughout the galaxy.
Or allow them to continue being dormant. Continue to let those who survive slumber.
Josh pressed the hologram. Sealing the many Forerunner structures scattered all across the galaxy. He looked up towards the hologram.
Dansuke lied on the ground. Closing his eyes shut. Knowing he has failed to convince the only living being who would understand his intentions.
Josh looked down at his glowing sphere.
"My Questions...Answers...Who am I?"asked Josh as the blue sphere glowed brighter
The large Galaxy map shifted as it turned off. Josh lifted to eye level the blue sphere. Noticing the image ahead of him shaping into a standing person.
"My son"said the Female Voice
Josh lowered the Blue Sphere. Staring shocked at the very image of the one person. The one person he didn't think he'd ever meet.
"Your?!"he said struggling to speak
She smiled staring at him. She looked at him with such happiness. She stood tall 5'7 feet tall, she wore a long white dress. Her hair was Light Brown.
Her eyes were hazel yellow. Her skin was light brown. Yet she had marking going down her right eye. Symbol of a Clan.
"So much...you've grown so much over the years Josh"she said smiling at him
"Mother?!"he said aloud
She looked away. Her hands in front of her as she smiled and laughed.
"Josh your existence is nothing but a miracle, please don't hate Ares for what happened"said Josh's Mother (Mila)
Josh looked at her still in a shocked state.
"He killed you along with-"
"Ares was blinded by a altered path he was forced to follow...if he didn't he would have lost the only thing that mattered to him most...His son"she said
Josh looked away from her for a second. Thinking of what conditions went off.
"What happened to you? Why was I hid from this?"asked Josh
"You were not even born yet to fully understand the pain and chaos during those times"she said
"Ares was given the choice to become the Arbiter, he was brought down by Dansuke being manipulated into believing in A new Age"she said
"Dansuke threatened Ares to betray your Father, Samuel never saw it coming once it happened"she continued
"I was pregnant with you, Ares tried to brake your father making him give away the location of Halo Rings that we located"she continued
Josh stared at her knowing these things now. Wondering what will happen.
"I died during the process as Samuel was battered, he fought on willing, trying to save us, yet only you were saved my son"she said smiling
"Your not a Clone, your our son, same everything from before just added with a few new components..."she said smiling reaching out towards him
"We didn't know how you would react to this, not knowing how to explain...but seeing you here now must mean your Father must be gone"she said
"He's lost...That's all I know"said Josh
"Ares nearly lost his own son, Samuel helped them both but his son became a New Example that replaced Ares...he was exiled leading him to join us"
Josh felt horrible. Knowing many fates changed and shaped over the decades. Over time. Over the days of his father's Past.
"Your so much like him...I'm glad I gained the chance to see you as a full grown adult"she said smiling towards him, tears rolled down her eyes
Josh removed his helmet. Allowing it to drop into the ground by his feet. He smiled at his mother. Seeing her joyful and hopefulness.
Noticing her as more than anything else he thought of.
"What can I do to stop them when they wake"asked Josh
"That's for you to decide my son, to change the Future for all...or Allow they're New Age to come alive re-shaping all that exist in this Galaxy"she said
Josh smiled. Seeing her so happy even in this state.
"Your Father knew of what I was sent for, he knew my intentions of taking back the technology to the UNSC..but I fell in love"she said clumsy smiling
"A Spy within the Exiles Division?"asked Josh
"Yes but I changed my mind and left my people behind, but I gained you"she said
This moment made Josh feel accepted into more than just a new way of thinking. Instead of seeing what he believed to be a lie.
"Thank you Mother...I feel better now"said Josh
"I wanted to ask..."said Josh looking towards the blue sphere
"Are you an A.I.? What can you tell me about my father"asked Josh
"An Honorable man with good intentions, he always wanted to see you grow...his life wasn't easy since he was born into War and shaped into a Warmonger"
"Now I'm afraid this burden has been passed down onto you, my son"she said
"I don't see it that way...Thank you for being here...for being truthful Mother"he said crying happy
"Will I see you again"asked Josh
"In time my son, but I believe you will please take care of yourself"she said smiling as her Hologram went off
The room went dark. Josh stood. Facing downwards at the Blue sphere as it faded to solid black. He smiled thinking of what he will do.
"My Future"
