Darth Sidious skulks toward Yoda, "I have waited a long time for this moment, my little green friend. Soon, all Jedi will die." Yoda takes a fighting stance, "Die, we may, but more powerful we will become. Much you do not know, Lord Sidious." Sidious raises his hands, firing a blast of lightning, but Yoda manages to catch it into the palm of his hand and uses the Force to throw it back at Sidious back, knocking him clear over his desk and onto the floor in a heap. He continues, "At an end your rule is and not short enough it was, I must say." Sidious flies through the air, cape flapping, heading toward the exit. At the last second, Yoda lands in his way and stops the Dark Lord.
"If so powerful you are, why run?," he ignites his small lightsaber.
"You will not stop me," he pulls Mace Windu's lightsaber from his cloak and ignites it, giving Yoda pause, "Recognize this saber? It belonged to your friend Mace Windu but I doubt he'll be needing it."
Yoda grimaces angrily but remains calm. Their swords clash. The battle is extremely fast and furious and carries into the hall. Yoda backflips away from a strike, then spins to deflect the next swipe before hoping back farther into the hallway with Sidious hot on his heels.
On a lower level of the Senate building, Bail approaches C-3P0 and R2D2, "Move about the Senate building. Look busy. If anyone asks about me, tel them you are running errands and that I am in my chamber. I am not to be disturbed. Do you understand?"
R2 chirps in response.
"But Senator Organa," C-3P0 begins, "If you don't mind me asking, where will you be?"
"The less you know, the better," he turns and leaves.
On Mustafar, Anakin lashes out at Obi-Wan, and they begin a ferocious sword fight. Their usual finesse is gone. In its place, the two angrily slam their swords together. They work their way off the landing platform and into the main entry hallway with both men maneuvering in a circle. View screens explode around Anakin and Obi-Wan as they work their way into the Control Room. The fighting is intense. Obi-Wan is on the defensive as he jumps up on the table view screen in the center of the room.
"Don't make me destroy you, Master," Anakin tells as him as stops, "You're no match for the darkside."
"I've heard that before . . . but I never thought I'd hear it from you."
Anakin leaps up to the table just as Obi-Wan backflips away. He slides along the surface of the table, delivering a kick to Obi-Wan which knocks him on his back. Once there, he brings his saber down, but Obi-Wan blocks it and pushes him away. Anakin backs up and uses the Force to throw a chair at him but Obi-Wan slices it in mid-air. Once distracted, Anakin forces Obi-Wan into the Conference Room where the quarters are much closer. Sparks fly everywhere.
Back on Corsucant, Sidious seeks refuge in the vast Senate Chamber. He leaps into the Chancellor's Podium and it starts to rise up into the arena. Yoda makes a giant leap into the control pod. The sword fighting is intense in the confined space with Yoda bouncing back and forth across the pod, deflecting Sidious' strikes. Finally, Sidious falls back against the rim of the pod as Yoda advances, slicing the lightsaber hilt. What's left of Mace Windu's saber falls to the floor of the pod and Yoda stops to contemplate it. Sidious cackles and takes the opportunity to leap across the chasm to the Senate pods along the walls.
On Mustafar, the battle intensifies as it carries out onto the plant level where multiple levels and cranes extend over molten lava. Anakin pushes Obi-Wan's saber up and kicks him off the level to a lower deck. Anakin drops down in front of him as his former master picks himself up off the ground. "The flaw of power is arrogance," Obi-Wan lunges forward and they lock sabers. Obi-Wan puts out his hand to use the Force to push Anakin away and Anakin does the same. Both combatants are blasted backwards onto the railing. Obi-Wan stands looking at his former apprentice for a moment. "You hesitate," Anakin tells him, "... The flaw of compassion." They regain their footing and the battle continues along the platform with Obi-Wan getting forced back more and more.
Sidious stands on a Senate pod and unleashes a blast of energy from his hands that surrounds Yoda who deflects the Sith Lord's lightning bolts with his saber before leaping across to the other side. "Destroy you I will, just as Master Kenobi, your apprentice will destroy," Yoda calls out from across the chamber. He jumps to a lower Senate Pod just as another bolt explodes behind him. Sidious reaches out with one hand, and a Senate pod is released from its mooring and heads toward him. Yoda leaps away again as the pods collide, sending debris down the long shaft below. Sidious cackles and uses the Force to levitate three more pods which gets Yoda's attention. He begins to hurl pod after pod at the Jedi, who ducks and jumps from one flying pod to another. He finally lands at one of the lower pods and finds there are no more levels to go down. Sidious launches one more pod at him, hoping to finally destroy him. Yoda concentrates and holds out a single, tiny hand and as the pod reaches him, it stops. He uses the Force to hold the pod suspended in the air and Sidious is given pause as he realizes his folly. The pod spins slowly as Yoda makes a circular motion. He gathers more and more momentum and finally throws it back at the Sithlord, who leaps away at the last moment.
Yoda leaps up several pods, then makes one more jump after him, but Sidious quickly turns and aims the full force of his energy bolts at the tiny green Jedi, catching him in mid-air and throwing him back hard against the Podium. The force causes Yoda to drop his lightsaber down the long chasm. Sidious drops down behind him and begins to unleash a massive bolt, but Yoda raises his palms and catches the blast. Energies grow between the two as they struggle against one another. Soon, there's an explosion that throws both of them through the air. Sidious hits a pod, rolls along it, and barely manages to hold on to the rim. Yoda likewise hits a pod but his small hands are unable to hold on to the rim and quickly slides off, falling into the darkness below as Sidious roars with laughter.
Anakin forces Obi-Wan down a narrow balcony walkway. Obi-Wan spins and blocks all attacks, but soon, the balcony ends, and he's trapped. He looks over the balcony and into a river of lava. Anakin cuts a piece of the balcony railing off, along with a control panel. Alarms sound, and a protective ray shield around the superstructure disappears. It tumbles into the molten abyss, disappearing in a puff of smoke, but a small pipe connects the control center to the main collection plant. Obi-Wan has no choice but to tightrope-walk out across the lava river.
Anakin, following Obi-Wan, jumps down onto the flexing pipe, lands, and resumes fighting. They work their way across the small pipe, fighting ferociously as they go. Eventually, Obi-Wan slips, throws his lightsaber up in the air, grabs on to the pipe, swings around, grabs on to an upper pipe, retrieves his lightsaber, and lands back on the original pipe. Anakin goes for the head and Obi-Wan ducks under it and tries to take his feet. Anakin jumps over his head, somersaults int he air, and lands near the collection plant. Obi-Wan quickly rushes up the rest of the pipe and forces Anakin onto sure footing.
In the shafts below the Senate chamber, Yoda squishes his way through a mass of wires in a small chute. He talks on his comlink, "Hurry. Careful timing we will need." Outside, Bail Organa flies his speeder around the outside of the building. "There aren't many troops on this side," he tells him, "Activate your homing beacon when you're ready."
Several stories up, a pod with a Clone Commander and several troopers climbs up to where Sidious is waiting. Beneath the Main Podium, more troopers search for Yoda 's body.
"There is no sign of his body, sir," the commander tells him.
"Have your men double their search," Sidious barks in an annoyed tone, "And tell Captain Kagi to prepare my shuttle for immediate takeoff... I sense my new apprentice is in danger."
