~~~Cybertron- many years ago
Optimus laid in his berth, staring blankly at the wall ahead of him. He curled up more into himself, sobbing softly. He would go see Ratchet tomorrow for repairs. The Prime didn't want to go at the moment. His sire, Sentinel Prime, had beaten him again with the same excuse: it was part of some process of being a Prime. It wouldn't stop since the day Primus called him to be a Prime.
The door to his quarters opened up, a shadow falling over the Prime's damaged body. The young mech curled tighter, optics squeezed shut tightly. He trembled, not wanting anymore.
"Please... I can't take more," Optimus whispered when the figure approached his berth. He flinched when the Cybertronian sat down behind him, a servo on his arm.
"I will not hurt you my brother." Optimus turned around, seeing Megatron there. He launched himself at the older mech, whimpering and crying into his chest. Megatron simply held his brother, rocking lightly. "I'm here brother. I... heard what happened from one of the others. I'm so sorry he did that to you."
"I'm scared brother," Optimus murmured. "I wish carrier was here."
"I do too," Megatron said. His grip tightened a bit as if his brother would disappear if he didn't hold on good enough. "It'll be okay brother. One day. I'll make sure of it. I want you to have a bright future, one not filled with pain and fear."
"Will... will you stay with me tonight? Please brother?" Optimus said.
"As you wish," Megatron said. He kissed his brother's helm to comfort him. "Recharge brother. I will take you to Ratchet tomorrow for repairs. I love you little brother."
"I love you too, Megatron," Optimus whispered.
Megatron hummed a soft tune that their carrier sang. He rocked with his brother in his arms, protecting him from the world outside the berthroom walls. Optimus' body lost tension as he fell into recharge, yet his dreams were haunted. Megatron would remain there, holding his brother as he too fell into recharge. He would protect his brother, no matter what. He would not let Sentinel and those sick fraggers hurt his brother. He would rather die then let that happen.
~~~Earth- present time

Kate looked at the clock in the kitchen. Her left foot tapped impatiently against the floor. Her sister was a few minutes late now. Hayley was hardly ever late. What was taking her so long? The blonde woman twirled a light blue streak of hair. The front door opened and Kate perked up, turning quickly to face the front door.

Hayley walked in, setting her bag down. The younger woman blew a strand of red and blue hair out of her face, annoyed with how her bangs continued to get in the way. She squeaked when strong arms pulled her in for a hug.

"What took you so long?" Kate asked. "You were 3 minutes late."

"Sorry sis. I was in my truck finishing up a good song," Hayley said, blushing a bit. Kate rolled her eyes, smacking her sister upside the head. "Owie!"

"You're fine," said Kate, turning back to the kitchen.

"I'm sorry sis. I didn't mean to worry you," Hayley said, following her sister.

"I'm just glad you're home now," the older woman said. She checked the clock again. "You should get to bed soon."

"Don't wanna," Hayley pouted.

"Then go shower. You stink," Kate said with a smirk.

"Fine. So bossy," Hayley teased.

The younger sauntered off to the bathroom, plugging in her phone to the speaker installed next to the tub. Kate smiled as she heard the music blare through the door and hallway, mostly drowning out the noise of the water running. Kate sat down, bringing her tea closer to her and taking a long drink.

Sure, she was a bit paranoid, but one couldn't blame her. Both sisters have been through a lot of Hell. They may not have been blood sisters, but they will always be soul sisters. Hayley had gotten tired of being the outcast in the family. The family drama added on top didn't help either. So she left home and ran into Kate. The two became quick friends and eventually swore to each other that they were sisters now and forever.

Kate's own life wasn't perfect either. Her whole family had gotten sick minus her. She was immune to the disease from what many doctors had told her. When they all died, Kate got the house. She felt lucky the house was miles from the city. She couldn't stand being near the city. It was too bright and noisy. And cause the two were different with their gifts, it would be best to stay away from others.

"She's so silly," Kate muttered. After almost two hours, Hayley finally got out of the shower, dressed in fuzzy pajamas. "Bout time."

"Hey, I was enjoying the warm water," said Hayley. Kate looked at her sister's arm and neck.

"By the looks of your skin, you had the water too hot again," said Kate. Hayley blinked before she looked down and saw the redness of her skin.

"Oh. Oops," Hayley chuckled. She went to the pantry and pulled out a bag of popcorn, going to the microwave to cook it. "We should watch Transformers today sis. I got the new movie today that you've been dying to watch."

"Really?" Kate asked hopefully. Her sister nodded. As she waited for the popcorn to finish, she took out two chocolate bars and some Recess Pieces. "You're so awesome sis."

"Heck yeah," the younger sister said. When the popcorn finished, Hayley put it into a bowl and added in chocolate chunks and the smaller candies, mixing it in. "Come on. I'm really excited."

The two sisters went to the front room. Hayley set down the large bowl with the popcorn, pulling out sodas and more candy from a bag as well as the new movie, The Last Knight. She put the disk in, letting it play. Then she sat down next to Kate, grabbing the two blankets and covering them with it.

After the movie finished, the two discussed what they thought about it. Kate was still swooning over Optimus' knight look, absolutely in love with it. Hayley herself preferred more of the original look from the first three movies, though she wouldn't deny that the knight look was very fitting.

"Megatron's more gladiator look is still way better than the other look he had," Hayley said.

"Optimus is still sexy as ever. That voice gives me shivers each time," Kate said, a dreamy look in her eyes.

"True. I wonder how it would have been if the others weren't killed off. I enjoy Ratchet," Hayley pouted. She hated how he was killed off in Age of Extinction. "Well, it is now past midnight. I'm off to bed sis. I love ya."

"Love you too sis," Kate said.

Kate cleaned up while Hayley dragged herself to bed. The movie wasn't bad at all. She had actually enjoyed it. The blonde took the disk out, putting it with the other Transformers disks. Hayley had been collecting every series and movie since she was completely obsessed with the fandom.

The woman yawned loudly and rubbed her eyes. Yep, time for bed. She got her blanket and headed off to her bed. She collapsed into it, snuggling the Optimus plushie she had. Her dreams were so gonna be about the Prime. Overall, it was a great day. Kate fell asleep quickly, unaware of what Fate had planned for both her and her sister.

There was a flash surrounding the house. Oh yes, Fate had big plans for them.
