Thought this would be a fun idea to have a fanfic based on the two extraordinary women of Yu-Gi-Oh, Mana and Kisara. I always found it so interesting and so cool that they were holders of the Dark Magician Girl and the Blue Eyes White Dragon, so it seems so natural to have them as besties as I always have in my other fanfics.
Hope you like!

Night has fallen after a bright sunny day. The only things shining are the tall lights on either side of the dark pavement adorned with yellow dashed lines. At the end of the street is somewhat of a dead end. The concrete transitions to a dirt road leading up to a gray building that emits colorful lights and a mid tempo booming noise. Inside, it is packed to near capacity with people dressed to have a good time. Women wearing tight clothing and short skirts or shorts sway their bodies to the loud beat and men nod their heads, surveying the area for the next woman they can take home.
At a bar, one woman standing at average height leans her back on the counter, taking in her surroundings. Her skin is brown, and her hair is brown as well, sitting spiky and downward. Her aquamarine eyes look from left to right, trying to find someone in particular. She wears a short white dress with white high heels.
On the opposite side of the room stands a taller woman with pale skin and ice cold, blue eyes. Her light blue hair hangs way past her back and she is a slim. She wears a black jumpsuit and matching heels. As she walks through the crowd, she gets plenty of stares from the men in the crowd who stop to do a double take. But they know not to mess with her. She is engaged to one of the most powerful men in the country. Most would wonder what business she has at such a rundown nightclub. She typically wouldn't be seen at a place like this, but her friend insisted and she isn't the type to turn down a night out.
The brown hair girl sighs heavily and moves her way through the crowd of people, bumping into people along the way. A man backs into her and he spills his drink. He angrily whips around, glaring down at her. "You owe me a drink!" he snaps, snatching off the sunglasses he has on so that she can see just how mad he is.
"Sorry, can't help you there," the woman says with a shrug and a smile.
"Why you—" He raises his hand and prepares to strike and the woman simply moves to the side, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground. He's clearly had one too many to drink, but he isn't showing any signs of giving up soon. He struggles to his feet and sets his sights on her again. But this time when he raises his fist, Mana simultaneously raises her finger up to her temple, and a rainbow aura appears around the man, freezing him in place. She quickly glances around, seeing that no one has taken notice as to what has occurred and she slips away.
"That should wear off in a bit," she says with a smile.
"I saw that," comes another feminine voice and Mana flinches, hesitantly turning around. She breathes a sigh of relief when she sees the woman with blue hair standing there, shaking her head.
"Oh, there you are Kisara! Took you long enough!"
They stand up against a wall, watching as the party goers have a good time drinking and dancing about. Mana folds her arms with a pout while Kisara stands with her hands behind her back. This definitely isn't the idea they had in mind when they decided on a girls night out. Kisara wanted to get away from her regular glamorous scene and do something different for a change and this is what Mana decided on. But neither of them are having fun. They both exchange looks in a silent signal to each other and without a word, they leave.
"Well that was fun," Kisara says with a smile as they both walk side by side on the sidewalk. They had parked a distance away from the actual nightclub, not wanting a lot of attention drawn to Kisara's expensive car.
"Yeah right," Mana says, hopping up and down to take off her heels and deciding to walk barefoot. "Sorry. Someone recommended that place and I'm going to turn them into a toad the next time I see them."
"Next time I'll leave it to Téa. This sort of thing is usually her department," Kisara says with a chuckle.
"Can't say I disagree! For your bachelorette party, Téa will definitely do all of the planning. Speaking of which, how does it feel knowing you'll be a married woman soon?"
"I'm excited."
Mana turns her head, as if waiting for a bigger reaction from her friend, but nothing else comes out. "Well that was a subpar response."
"No, I'm truly excited," Kisara reassures her.
"But…?"
"Well he's a very busy man. He's always been good at taking time for me, but sometimes things get super hectic and I wonder if his workload will affect us negatively."
"Eh…you're probably overthinking it. He's the CEO. He can take however much time he wants. You two will be fine!"
Kisara smiles. Leave it to Mana to always cheer her up. "And how is married life since you know so much about it?"
"Well you know he's a bit of a workaholic too. Tournaments on top of tournaments," Mana replies looking up. "But I just let him do him."
"Considering your husband and my fiancé are cousins, it's no wonder they're so similar in the work aspect."
Mana chuckles, placing her hands behind her head. "Good point. And that's why you shouldn't worry. Regardless of how much he works, he always makes time for me. And I know your fiancé will do the same."
"Thanks Mana."
Feeling the presence of someone behind them, they both stop and turn around and see the same drunk man from the club. He holds a bottle in his hand and his eyes are set on Mana. She slaps her forehead and groans.
"You're gonna need more than a freeze spell to keep this guy down," Kisara says to her magician friend.
Mana grunts, making her blue wand with a golden ball on the tip appear in her hand. The guy blinks a few times and lifts up his sunglasses. "What are you, some sort of freak?!" Mana growls, lifting her wand into the air, causing the guy to shield his face and Kisara chuckles. "Hey wait—!"
"YOU'RE THE FREAK!"
A huge shriek echoes through the air.
After being dropped off, Mana walks into her house, slowly closing the door behind her and dropping her pair of heels on the floor. Most of the lights are turned off and it is quiet. Luckily she knows her house like the back of her hand and she is able to navigate through it until she reaches the stairs. As she goes up, she notices a light coming from her bedroom and she stops, placing a hand up to her cheek before hissing lightly. She looks to the nearby bathroom and tiptoes there, flicking on the light and observing her face in the mirror.
There's a small red line going across her cheek. The tussle that she had with the drunken man resulted in that minor injury. Though she defeated him with ease, he still managed to break the glass bottle he was holding and swipe her on the face to which she promptly knocked him out afterward. She raises her hand and motions it at the scratch, beginning to mutter a spell.
"Mana."
"EEP!" She hops a few inches off the floor and whips over to look at the doorway, seeing her husband standing there. He wears his signature navy blue jacket with a black tank underneath and matching navy blue pants. His hair is spiky and tricolored, and his amethyst eyes are naturally narrowed and serious. His arms are crossed over his chest and his eyes are set on the scratch on her face.
"Oh! Hey Atem! I had no idea you were still up!" She quickly turns away, staring back at the mirror.
"I just got in myself. I take it you and Kisara ran into trouble at the club," he assumes.
"Nothing a little magic couldn't handle," she says, her hand glowing as she quickly heals the scratch. "Stupid drunk guy managed to get a swipe."
Atem smirks. "So you've gotten rusty."
"He got lucky!" Mana says defensively with a pout before giggling, going up and wrapping her arms around him, looking him in the eyes with a smile. "Remember when we used to fight bad guys all the time?"
"How could I forget?"
"Don't you miss it?"
He looks up momentarily with thought before his eyes are set back on her. "No." He releases himself from her grasp and walks toward their bedroom with her following closely behind.
"Aw come on. Not even a little?" She walks over to the dresser and attempts to unzip her dress on her own.
"The fact that you still do is a little concerning for me," he replies, reaching over to help her in one swift motion. Then he takes off his jacket and drapes it over a nearby chair.
She goes to his side of the dresser and ruffles through his t-shirts. "Well I don't know why."
"Maybe it's because—" He catches sight of her undressing just to put on one of his shirts, using it as a 'gown.' "And you're using my shirt as pj's again."
"Super comfy!" She hops on the bed, landing on her knees and bouncing a little bit.
"…Look. I'm not saying we didn't have our fun. But we were teenagers. We're adults now. Need I remind you—"
Mana sighs. "Yeah I know." She knows that he is going to delve into a dark part of their past and she would rather him not bring that up now.
"And we both discussed that we would try for a child. Very soon."
"And we totally will!" She crawls underneath the covers and he joins her at her side. "Wouldn't mind having one last shebang though."
Atem shakes his head, turning off the lamp. "Good night Mana."

Kisara sits up in bed, watching her fiancé pace back and forth around the room as he talks on the phone. Her eyes follow his movements, practically making her dizzy. Even though it's late, he is still handling business calls. She sighs heavily, trying to have patience.
"Seto…" she says, but he doesn't hear her. Would things truly change? Would he give her more of his time once they are married? He promised that once they got married, he would take it easy so that they can start a family. She's wanted that more than anything.
He is the owner of one of the hugest companies in the country. His invention of the duel disks was groundbreaking and propelled him to even more greatness than he had already inherited from his step father. They are used all over the world and have truly changed the game of Duel Monsters. He is a force to be reckoned with for sure. Tall, slim with short brown hair and blue eyes that nearly matches her own.
After a few more minutes of him angrily yelling into the phone, he hangs up. He takes a deep breath before turning around, feeling Kisara's eyes on him. "Sorry. Did you say something?"
She cracks a smile and shakes her head. He joins her in the bed and they both lie down. "Long day?" she asks.
"Always. But someone's gotta get it done." He rolls over so that his back is facing her and her eyes lower.
"Good night Seto."
