A week after the experimental spacebridge incident, many of the original team have split up. Elisa has been permanently assigned as the leader of the Emergency Global Garrison Squad with Jorgelina from Jungle City, Mexico, and Penny from Boston, Massachusetts. Chad is in charge of a scientific a research and development department in Founders Island alongside other scientists, human and Cybertronian alike. Seamus still resides in Hub City working as a mechanic, but occasionally goes on other missions with other international teams. Finn, Jake, and Simon remain as the main exploration team for Voyagers Central in Ooo, but on his spare time Simon lectures at the Hub City University.
At this time, Simon is speaking with his old pre-war friends Alvin and Theodore, the former reduced to a digital entity, and the latter mutated into a green humanoid with less-than-average intelligenc. "They really went to another universe? One you made in a fan fiction?" Alvin asked Simon through a tabled held by Theodore. "That's correct. What was that internet rule about gender swapping?" Simon asked Alvin. "Sixty-three." Theodore answered. "Hey, remember writing fan fictions back in the day? Was it WattPad or FanFiction that you posed in? We used to brainstorm all sorts of stories for Bravest Warriors and GoBots." Alvin recounted.
"Remember that time we came up with Danny's sister before Season Four?" Simon added. "Didn't Season Four suck, or something?" Theodore mumbled. "We don't talk about Season Four. Season Five was great once Pendleton Ward came back." Alvin added. "When's your next mission?" Alvin asked Simon. "Not anytime soon. I'm too busy with university lectures on pre-war history." Simon answered.
Outside, Finn and Jake walk to the groundbridge that has been modified to enable travel to other universes. "Where do you think this thing'll take us next?" Jake asked Finn. "Maybe a universe where you're the human and I'm the dog." Finn suggested. "Heh, heh, heh, yeah…" Jake chuckled. Stomping slowly towards the groundbridge are Optimus Prime and several gigantic grey Autobots led by Grimlock.
"Morning, Optimus." Finn greeted Optimus Prime. "What're the Dinobots doing here?" Jake asked him. "When I met the Megatron from that other universe, he was under trial by the judicial system of Luna Two, and invoked a law that states the defendant may demand judgement by the Knights of Cybertron. The Dinobots of our universe are a chapter of the Knights of Cybertron, and as such are valid to judge Megatron. My hope is that the Dinobots will help to give Megatron as light of a sentence as possible." Optimus Prime explained. "You really sure about this? I'm not exactly well-versed in advanced law, but isn't this a conflict of interest, or something?" Finn asked Optimus. "I trust in the Dinobots' judgement in Megatron." Optimus Prime answered.
The multiverse bridge's arches expand in diameter to fit the Dinobots large size before its filled with otherworldly energies. "Destination locked." Minerva's voice announced. "It is time to go." Optimus Prime said before he walks into the portal. The Dinobots follow Optimus Prime into the portal before it shuts down and shrinks back to regular size. "Now its our turn." Jake said.
Finn activates his robot arm's communicator function. "Mom, randomize the multiverse bridge." Finn requested. "What's the magic word?" Minerva asked playfully. "Please." Finn said with a smile. The multiverse bridge activates, set to a random destination in the multiverse.
"Y'think we need the car?" Jake asked Finn. "Nah, we're just gonna be in and out, just to see what's on the other side." Finn answered. They walk up the ramp and into the portal. "I hope they have snacks where we're going." Jake said before he and Finn enter the portal. After the portal closes, BMO runs up the ramp in a hurry.
"Finn! Jake! Come back! Football's gone!" he screamed. He hears a roar and turns around with a look of horror. In the sky is a mechanical red Chinese dragon being ridden by a monstrous dragon-themed knight, armed with a dragon-head blasted on his right hand. "It found me!" BMO screamed. The dragon blasts a fireball from its mouth, blowing up the multiverse bridge as BMO dodges out of the way.
On the other side of the portal, Finn and Jake emerge in the middle of a cracked highway surrounded by plains. "Huh, looks like another Earth to me." Jake said. Finn looks at a hologram on his wrist and sees a timer for twelve hours. "We got twelve hours until mom opens the multiverse bridge. Let's go find some peeps and hope they're friendly." Finn said to Jake before walking down the road. They soon reach a small town at the edge of a canyon overlooked by a destroyed rock outcrop.
"Hey… this place looks familiar." Jake commented. They walk through the marketplace and see humans in rags happily waving at Finn. "Hey, Finn. Back already?" one man asked. "Did you check out that abandoned vault I told you about?" another woman asked him. "Wait… we've been here before…" Finn said before he hears the sound of clopping behind him and Jake.
They turn around and see another Finn and Jake riding a donkey as townsfolk stare in surprise at the two Finns. The other Finn had wider eyes, a longer nose, longer pants, and was accompanied by a Jake that looked like a normal dog. The two Finns looks at each other in surprise. "'Sup?" they both said. The other Finn gets off the donkey and walks up to them with his Jake.
"I never thought I'd see you guys again." Farmworld Finn said. "I hoped we did see each other." regular Finn said. "Come on, let's go to my place. We just got back from an adventure." Farmworld Finn said to the two otherworldly adventurers. Finn and Jake mount the donkey with Farmworld Finn and they set off to his home. They soon arrive at a farm in the middle of a forest.
Emerging from the farmhouse is a woman wearing a pink dress. "Finn!" the woman called out to Farmworld Finn. Regular Finn pokes his head from behind his counterpart. "Finn?" the woman said in surprise. "Hey, mom. I just got back from checking out that buried bank. You wouldn't believe what stuff was down there." Farmworld Finn said to his mom as he dismounted the donkey.
"Oh yeah, this is another me from another universe. Remember a few years ago when I stopped going crazy and this guy showed up?" Farmworld Finn introduced his counterpart to his mother. "Oh, I remember now." Farmworld Minerva recalled as she approaches regular Finn. "I still don't know how to thank you for saving my son." she told Finn. "Just keep on raising him." Finn answered. "Please, come in. I made some lemonade." Farmworld Minerva welcomes them in.
The farmhouse is somewhat sparse with a very few furniture around. Playing on the floor with a familiar green game console is a toddler wearing overalls and a green shirt, the same hue as that of the console. The toddler looks to Finn and waddles towards him happily before hugging his leg. "Hey, little guy." Finn smiled to the child before Farmworld Finn picks up the toddler. "Hey, bro, wrong me. I'm right here." Farmworld Finn said to his little brother.
The console stands up and turns to the two Finns. "Finn! You're back! And you brought a clone!" the console greeted Farmworld Finn excitedly. "You have a BMO?" Finn asked Farmworld Finn. "I dug him outta a time capsule my dad and I buried years back." Farmworld Finn explained. "BMO, this is another me from another universe. Be nice." Farmworld Finn told Farmworld BMO.
Finn, Jake, Farmworld Finn, and Farmworld Jake sat at a table in the room with a jug of lemonade and some cups. "Before we get started, how did you guys get here?" Farmworld Finn asked Finn and Jake as he poured a cup of lemonade. "The first time we came here, our friend Prismo sent us to undonk your crazy self and stop the Lich. This time, my mom made up a portal using The Enchiridion from your universe." Finn explained. "Huh, my mom's pretty smart too. She did make my arm, after all." Farmworld Finn said as he showed off his primitive claw prosthetic. "What've you two been doing since we last met?" Jake asked Finn.
"We decided to go adventuring to find treasure outside Junktown. We found all sorts of treasure that helped rebuild our town. We met weird people, fought mutants, and I discovered a trick Jake can do." Finn answered. He removes his arm and tosses it across the room. "Jake, fetch!" Farmworld Finn exclaimed. Farmworld Jake stretches his face to catch the arm while sitting down next to Farmworld Finn's leg. He then retracts his face to return the arm to Farmworld Finn.
"He's got stretchy powers like me!" Jake said. "Yep, I don't know how to get him to speak like you. That demon lady was right, there really is magic in the world." Farmworld Finn said. "Are you guys gonna be staying long?" Farmworld Finn asked. Finn looks at the holographic timer on his wrist. "We've got about eleven hours until my mom opens another portal. We can tag along on another adventure of yours." Finn said.
"Geometric! We found a train in the forest that doesn't have an engine, but it's still going on in a circle. I haven't got on it, but I wanna see what cargo's inside." Farmworld Finn suggested. "We went on that in our universe already." Jake said. "Trust me, dude, you don't wanna go there. The loot's not worth it." Finn said. "Well, I found a frozen city to the north. There were all sorts of snow creatures there." Farmworld Finn suggested. "What about that bank you mentioned earlier?" Jake asked.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot!" Farmworld Finn said before rummaging through his backpack. He takes out a glowing canister of yellow liquid and places it on the table. "I think it's some kind of pre-war lamp." he said. "Hmm… lemme try something." Finn said as he tapped on a holographic user interface on his wrist. His arm scans the container and presents the results to Finn.
"Woah, this is energon!" Finn said excitedly. "What's energon?" Farmworld Finn wondered. "In our universe, we met some robot aliens called Transformers, and they run on this stuff!" Finn answered. "What can it do?" Farmworld Finn asked as he looked at the canister closer. "It can power all sorts of stuff, but it's a little… Jake, what's that word that starts with 'V'?" Finn answered before turning to Jake.
"Voaltile." Jake answered. "Yeah, that. You're gonna have to find someone who really knows how to make this usable." Finn said. "I think I may know a guy. His name's Moe, and he helped to fix BMO when he accidentally messed up his own systems." Farmworld Finn suggested. "He's alive?" Jake asked. "Yeah, but he's looking like a raisin in a bowl of oats." Farmworld Finn answered.
"Let's go find him, then." Finn said as he stood up from his seat. "Jake, what time is it?" Farmworld Finn asked Farmworld Jake. The tiny dog barks in response. "Adventure Time!" Finn and Jake exclaimed as they high-fived. "Mom, I'm going on another adventure. I'll be home by supper!" Farmworld Finn announced his departure.
"Take care!" Farmworld Minerva replied. BMO and Farmworld Finn's brother waves them goodbye as they leave. The four mount Bartram as Farmworld Finn's father sees them. "Later, dad!" Farmworld Finn waved to the balding man, who waves in return with a smile. Finn looks at the man with an unsure look before they head off into the forest.
"You've got a really nice family, Finn." Finn told Farmworld Finn with a smile. "I'm sure yours is just as great." Farmworld Finn responded. Finn looks at Jake behind him. "Yeah… they sure are." Finn added with a smile.
To be continued…
