The light that peeks through the shades shines on Atem's face, stirring him out of his slumber. He uses his arm to cover his eyes and peeks over to a nearby clock. Time to start getting up and preparing for yet another day at work. Groaning, he slowly sits up, his body feeling achy and stiff. The couch isn't an ideal place to get a comfortable night of rest.

He hisses as he hunches over, letting the hot shower run on his back, trying to alleviate some of the soreness. Then he lifts his head to allow some of the water to splash on his face to wake him up completely. Drying off, he goes upstairs to the bedroom to fetch himself a fresh pair of clothes. He tip toes while approaching the bedroom, anticipating that Mana is still sleep, but when he slowly cracks it open, she isn't there. The bed shows signs of being slept in, but she's nowhere to be seen.

Opening the door completely, he scans the room and his mind immediately goes to the most negative outcome. He has been in this position far too many times. Waking up and she isn't in bed or even home. Maybe she hasn't learned her lesson after all. Sighing with disappointment he makes his way over to the closet.

'So this is really it,' Atem says in his mind, putting on his clothes. 'She couldn't change her ways after all.' He closes his eyes, feeling all of these negative emotions coming to him. That is, until he hears the sound of a toilet flushing and his eyes fly open. He hears the sound of Mana grumbling and he walks over to the door of the connecting bathroom in their room, hearing her voice get closer to the door.

The doorknob begins to turn and abruptly it stops. Her footsteps seem to be running away from the door now and he hears the sound of something dropping. "Are you seriously going to keep me in here all day?" he hears her say and a puzzled expression appears on his face. "Fine, you win. Just make this time around quick. I want to actually do something today." His heart begins to beat out of his chest. Is someone else in there? Without thinking, he bursts through the door and his face drops when he sees her cradling the toilet bowl, her head resting on her arm that is on the seat.

Atem blinks. "Uh…"

Her half opened eyes slowly look over at him. "It's rude not to knock you know," she says in a grainy voice. Feeling another wave of nausea, she uses one hand to hold her hair back and Atem cringes as she empties out her guts in the toilet. After a few more moments of throwing up, Atem holds her by the arm and helps her to her feet. She goes over to the sink, rinsing out her mouth and dropping her head with an exhausted sigh.

"Sorry. That was gross," she says as he leads her over to the bed to lay back down.

"Who were you talking to?"

Her head rests on the pillow. "The baby. It's really been giving me a hard time. I'm pretty sure it's karma."

"Karma? Karma for what?"

"Always giving you a hard time." There is silence between them as they look into each other's eyes. If only he knew just how sorry she is for putting him through all of that. She feels a great amount of remorse for not listening to him and constantly putting herself in dangerous situations unnecessarily. She understands why he could be feeling skeptical and on guard. They have had this discussion many times and she never changed her actions as much as she told him she would. But this time around is different. And she wants him to see that so badly.

"Get some rest," he says, turning his back to her dismay.

"Atem…" she calls out to him and he stops at the doorway with his back still turned to her. "I'm sorry."

"Okay. Please get some rest." And with that he leaves.

She sighs when she hears the front door close and she rolls over to her side, her thoughts racing. What does she have to do to make things back the way they were? Her mind goes to all of the romantic movies that she has watched in the past where the guy is trying to get his girl back. Except in her case, she's trying to get her guy back. The girl would make a decision to move away to another state to pursue some dream after things didn't work out and the guy would have this dramatic scene where he runs through the airport as fast as his legs will take him so that he can catch the girl before she boards the plane. Then he would profess his love, she would cancel her plans for leaving and they live happily ever after.

Whipping her feet out of bed and jumping to her feet, she looks out the window. She clenches her fists, taking in a deep breath before darting out the front door. She runs barefoot, only wearing Atem's t-shirt and some black shorts. She's going to talk to him the best way she knows how and doesn't care who hears her.

Meanwhile, Yugi and Atem walk side by side after meeting up to go to Kaiba Corp. Yugi sighs heavily, dropping his head. "After last night, I don't feel like doing a thing, honestly," he complains. "How's Mana doing? Have you made up?"

"She's fine. And not yet."

Yugi frowns. "What are you waiting for?" he asks and Atem looks over at him. "She's gone this long without using her powers. I think you've finally gotten through to her."

Atem looks up in thought. He has a point. Besides, she didn't use her powers yesterday either, even when she was in danger. "Maybe you're—"

"ATEM!"

Yugi and Atem both whip around and Atem's mouth goes agape when he sees Mana rushing at him, barefoot and all. "M-Mana? What are you—" She yells as she leaps into the air, jumping on him and wrapping her arms and legs around him. "You're not wearing any shoes."

"Hey there Mana!" Yugi greets, a pearl of sweat dropping down his temple as he smiles.

"You're supposed to be resting," Atem says. She moves her face closer to his and he blinks in confusion. Her eyes are intense and show determination. "What are you do—" She shuts her eyes and smashes her lips against his and his eyes go wide.

"Do I need to leave you two alone?" Yugi chuckles, scratching the back of his head and they finally pull apart.

Atem looks at her with surprise, catching his breath and she jumps down. "M-Mana?"

"SHOOT!" she yells and the two brothers flinch, perplexed by her random behavior. She turns around, folding her arms and looking down in thought. "I did that totally backwards. I was supposed to run, catch up with him, profess my love and then go in for the kiss," she says to herself. "If I were watching that movie, I'd give that a one out of four stars…"

"Is she rating herself…?" Yugi asks, tilting his head.

"Too many movies," Atem replies with dimmed eyes.

She turns back around, her sight fixated on him and she raises her fists. "I just wanted to say that I love you and I'm sorry!" she yells at the top of her lungs. Her voice seems to sound throughout the whole park that they are in, causing the birds in the nearby tress to fly away. She pants heavily, sweat trickling down her forehead. "I don't want to be without you anymore! I fully understand now! I understand!"

Atem's initial look of shock slowly morphs into a smile. "Stupid hormones," she grumbles, using the back of her hand to wipe her tears. She gasps lightly when she looks up to see him standing only inches away from her. He wraps an arm around her waist, bringing her close and pressing his forehead against hers.

Yugi blushes and turns the other direction.

She tilts her head so that her lips presses against his and she is relieved when he kisses back. She could stay like this forever, wrapped in his embrace and the overall closeness.

But.

Mana's eyes go big and she abruptly pulls away, whipping around to puke in the grass. Yugi looks over his shoulder and cringes. "Well that took a interesting turn," he says while Atem rubs the back of his head. "I'll catch up with you later. Go take Mana home."

"So these…" Atem holds up a bag of chips while Mana holds her hands out as she sits in the middle of the bed, anxiously awaiting for him to hand it over. "…Are what helps you whenever you feel nauseous?"

"Gimme gimme gimme!" she exclaims, holding her hands out and he finally gives them to her. She quickly opens them, throwing a few chips into her mouth and munching happily on them. "My body always feels restored when I taste the super savory saltiness of these chips."

"Noted," he says, then he looks down at her stomach. It almost feels unreal sometimes. To think in the coming months he will be a father. It's something he has wanted for a long time now. Without thinking, he places a hand on her stomach and she stops midway from eating the chip in her hand, a little thrown off by the sudden motion. "When do you think you will begin showing?"

"From what I researched, women typically show in the second trimester," she tells him, finally putting the chip in her mouth. "Why?" She watches as a smile appears on his lips and wonders what is going through his mind. Probably thinking about what their child will be like, whether it will be a boy or a girl and what they will look like. He's clearly excited.

His phone vibrates and she hears him growl inwardly, taking it out his pocket to view the text message from Yugi. Apparently Seto is giving Yugi a hard time about Atem not being there. He lets out a heavy sigh.

Mana giggles. "You should get going. I'll be fine. Don't want Seto having a fit."

"He already is," Atem says, sounding agitated. He gives her a quick peck on the lips before getting up to leave. "I'll try not to stay too late." As he makes his way down the stairs, he can't help but smile. He's glad they are back on good terms. And he wants it to stay that way.

Kaiba walks down the halls of his office building, checking different stats and reports for the day on his phone. Attendance in his theme park has gone up immensely and more people are using his training facilities to test their dueling skills. Ziegfried's attempts of bringing his company down have ultimately been unsuccessful, but he isn't surprised. He has always been one step ahead. A text comes from Kisara, but he ignores it by swiping up, wanting to view more of his reports.

"I saw that," Kisara says, walking up from behind him.

"Sorry. Extremely busy at the moment," he says, still looking down at his phone. "But to answer your question, yes. All plans for the interior design of the banquet hall for our wedding reception has been finalized and so has the food selections."

"Well it's good that you have somewhat been involved in this process."

"You should know that I'm able to multitask by now," he points out.

"You have gotten better, I'll give you that," she says with a smirk. "You still seem stressed out though."

"Ziegfried is still not out of the picture yet. After that stunt he pulled, we need to be more on guard. I've made sure there is going to be more security at our wedding since it seems like he loves to crash parties and big events."

"Yeah no kidding. And I swear if he ruins our big day, I'll have to blast him myself."

Kaiba chuckles and smirks. "I love when you talk like that."

Atem walks into the building and notes how Seto makes it a point to look at the clock on the wall. "Your point?" Atem asks, knowing that Seto is getting at the fact that he has come in really late.

"You were supposed to be here an hour ago," Seto says.

"And I have a pregnant wife who is my top priority."

"Whatever," Seto says, walking away.

Kisara places a hand on her forehead, shaking her head. "I told him not to give you a hard time," she says, looking at Atem. "Is she doing better?"

"Yes. Apparently these particular chips ease her nausea," he tells her and Kisara chuckles.

"Yeah, make sure you keep a huge stash of those," she giggles. "I always have them on hand whenever we hang out."

"I see."

"So you two are good again then, huh? I'm so glad!"

"Yes we are," he replies, cracking a smile. Him and Kisara haven't had a full conversation since their argument, only speaking to each other in passing. "I'm sorry."

"Huh?" Then it hits her and she smiles. "Stop. You had every right to be upset. I'm just glad she and the baby are okay."

"Me too."

"And I'm sorry as well," she apologizes before chuckling. "Just remind me never to make you mad again."

Atem smirks. "Likewise."

Mana stretches her arms over head, letting out a groan before sighing. She walks down the sidewalk, sipping on a some ginger ale. After getting her nausea down under control, she decided to get some fresh air and go browsing for baby related items. Even though she doesn't know whether or not it will be a boy or girl, she finds herself getting more excited as the days go by.

The door of the boutique she walks in rings and she steps onto the hardwood floor. It is filled with various baby clothes and accessories ranging from bassinets, strollers and carriers. Her eyes go wide, almost feeling overwhelmed by all of the choices. Her eyes go even wider when she sees the prices of some of the items.

"Geez…why are babies so expensive?" she mutters to herself.

"Well, well, well," a nearby voice says and she turns around to see a man wearing a red tuxedo with a matching top hat and a green and black mask walking to her. "If it isn't Mana the Great!"

"Arkana?" Mana says with surprise. He is a famous magician who does shows all across the country. She knows him through Atem and they have sparred once in the past. He and Atem crossed paths when dueling at tournaments. They both share an interest in monsters like the Dark Magician and other add ons that compliment it. Now Arcana's primary focus are his stage shows.

"What are you doing here?" he asks. She smirks and rubs her stomach and he squints his eyes, trying to register what she is trying to get at. Then a look of surprise forms on his face. "Your with child?"

"I am," she replies. "But what are you doing here?"

"I have a child," he responds and her eyes widen. "Don't look so surprised, Mana. You remember my lovely dear Catherine, don't you?"

"Ah, you two are back together?" She vaguely remembers why they broke up. He and Catherine were having similar issues that Atem and her were having.

"For two years now," he replies with a smile.

"So what ended up happening? I know you two were on the rocks the last I spoke with you. Seems like you've done a full 360."

"Catherine didn't like that I seemed to immerse myself within my magic every moment of the day. And my shows are almost everyday as well, traveling to different parts of the country. She felt that she didn't have enough time with me. We broke it off, but one night after one of my shows, she came back and said she loved me so much and was willing to make it work by any means necessary. So she opted to become my assistant. And now we travel together.

"Whoa, seriously? I guess the saying is true. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. That's one way to do it."

"How about you? If I remember correctly, Atem is far more laid back than you. How is he dealing with your crazy lifestyle? I saw your little feat on the news a few months ago. I assume that didn't go over too well."

Mana giggles. If only he knew the ups and downs Atem and her have had. Thankfully they have made things work. "We manage. And with me being pregnant, I'm not using my magic at all."

"Oh? You do know you're able to practice magic while pregnant right? It says so in the books," he points out.

"I'm aware."

Arkana grins. "Ah and the plot thickens."

Mana looks at him questionably. "What are you talking about?"

"Come on. The Mana I knew couldn't go a day without using her abilities. And neither can I. It's in our nature you know," he says with a shrug. "Being able to use our abilities for whatever it is we need and craving that rush. It's apart of us."

"I'm more disciplined than you think," she replies smirking. "I have a child to think about now. The book may say one thing, but until you've had to carry a baby and can personally feel the amount of stress magic puts on your body while pregnant, you won't get it."

"Touché. Well congratulations. With being the child of the King of Games and one of the greatest spell casters I know, that child is destined for greatness."

"You're so sweet."

They leave the boutique and Mana sighs as they walk down the street. She truly underestimated how expensive baby items can be, not to mention how hard it is to resist buying everything in the store. She placed an order for a number of things and hopes Atem isn't home whenever they deliver them.

"That's not even the worst part," Arkana says with a chuckle. "Babies go through tons of diapers, so there's another expense."

"Great," Mana says sarcastically. As they walk down the street, she catches sight of an individual with pink hair and she begins to walk more slowly, her heart beginning to do flips. Arkana looks at her questionably and he slows down his pace as well.

"Something wrong?" he asks.

"Hello dear Mana. It's nice to see you again," Ziegfried says walking up to them. Mana only stays silent, narrowing her eyes at him. Is he really going to act like the bomb incident didn't happen? No matter how many times he tries to deny it, the truth is in the pudding.

"You have some nerve," Mana growls.

"Why so defensive? A simple hello would've sufficed."

"Hello Ziegfried. What are you up to these days?" she asks in a sarcastic tone, alluding to the fact that she knows that those were his goons he sent out to attack her and the others.

"I'm simply thriving and thinking of my next move," he replies with a grin.

"I bet you are," she grumbles and he flips his long pink hair, walking down the sidewalk and leaving Mana fuming.

Arkana looks over to Mana, seeing how tense she is and her normally soft and friendly demeanor has changed into defense mode. "What was that all about?" Arcana asks before gasping lightly. "So he really was behind the bomb like the news stations said, then? Telling by your demeanor, I'm sure I'm right."

"Yes. Though if you ask him straight out, he'll deny it even still. He even retaliated by sending his group of thugs to attack me and my friends very recently."

"Well it seems like he's still up to no good," Arkana says, watching the pink haired man turn a corner.

"I think you're right."
