Chapter 15
Flynn Ryder
Story Brook
"Quasi?" Rapunzel walked into the tower, glancing around at the open books and wooden figures.
"Hi Rapunzel!" Quasi jumped down from a beam. The two friends exchanged a hug. "How's Belle?"
Rapunzel quickly explained Belle's predicament, that she was safe now with Sheriff Swan. Quasi was relieved to hear she was safe. He was sad that she still hadn't retrieved her old memories.
"I'm…not sure if I should ask…" Quasi hesitated.
"You know you can ask me anything." Rapunzel reassured.
"Have you found Flynn?"
Rapunzel hesitated. "No, I haven't…I…I don't think he's here, Quasi."
"I see…" Quasi nodded. "Tell me again how you met him."
Rapunzel smiled and nodded.
Before the Curse
"The Queen is here!" One of the other children cheered as the beautiful woman with emerald eyes and brown hair walked into the parlor. The orphans immediately began to gather around the old armchair The Queen would often sit to read them stories. Eugene quickly too his place in the front row. He held a book tightly in his hands and held it out to her when she took her seat.
"The Tales of Flanigan Ryder again?" She asked, smiling sweetly at him. The boy nodded shyly.
The Queen took the book from him and began to read the stories of Flynn Ryder. Eugene loved to listen to her read. He would sit and listen with interest. Once the book was finished, Eugene walked up to her to retrieve his book. As she handed it back, she smiled at him.
"Eugene, right?" The Queen asked.
The boy nodded again.
"Have you learned how to read yet?"
The boy shook his head sheepishly.
The Queen smiled again, but Eugene saw a look in her eye: an emotion his young mind couldn't place.
"How about I teach you how to read this book?" The Queen asked. Eugene smiled and sat beside her while she began to teach him how to read his favorite book.

"Eugene!" A young girl squealed as she ran up to the now twelve-year-old boy. "Will you read me a story?"
Eugene was now twelve years old. The queen was making less frequent visits, so he decided to read to the kids when she couldn't show up. He loved reading the book to the younger kids. They would all look up at him in wonder. Their excitement made him wish he was till their age…
The older he got, the more life threw hardship at him. His jobs were awful and didn't pay well. He could barely afford bread. He knew the orphanage would throw him out to the streets is he didn't get adopted before turning eighteen. He had nothing…but Flannigan Ryder had everything…money, a huge house, the ladies drooling at his feet… He wanted that life. He wanted to go on adventures, have riches, and just…have a life. A good life.
As he grew, he knew he had no choice but to become a thief.
Story Brooke
"Do you really think they'll find Queen Elsa?" Quasi asked.
"Hm…I think so." Rapunzel replied. "I mean…Emma broke the curse. She can do just about anything."
"Sheriff Swan is pretty amazing." Quasi agreed. "I think I'll carve her…for the village." Over the last twenty-eight years, Quasi had made a small, wooden version of Story Brooke. Rapunzel helped by painting each of the characters and buildings.
"You do that." Rapunzel encouraged. "I'll help paint her when you're done. I just finished Belle's actually."
"It's beautiful." Quasi said.
"Thanks."
Author's Note:
Hey ya'll! I am so sorry for this chapter. I wrote out this plot in 2014…about 4 years ago… then I went on a mission…then I started writing Marvel fics…then I decided my new OTP. A lot has happened so I forgot what this episode was supposed to be about. Also, I'm a little under the weather today.
So, there are only ten chapters left that I have planned for this… "season." The next few may be short like this one, mainly because I'm trying (more like wanting) to get the climax rolling along. Some of you have been so patient with me, and for that I thank you! Also, my cat says hi. He is sitting on my desk watching me type this… cats.
