Lucy to Susan, or

ScarlettCash to BrokenKestral

Dear Susan,

The music and dancing sounds like it'd be quite fun! So wild and full of life. Especially with all those instruments. And it is exciting to think that all those students, though maybe not pacing themselves, are so interested in learning more. Americans sound more and more intriguing with every letter. Oh, I wish I could have gone too! The way you describe everything makes it feel like it would be like visiting a whole other world again!

And I do know that smile Mum has. I do believe it is the prettiest smile there is. Maybe that's where you get it from. Do you think I smile like that?

I am glad you got to dance like you were in Narnia again, even if it was with a living, breathing depiction of the name 'George', who just so happens to actually have that name, too! (Though, by your depictions of Americans, I imagine that we cannot judge a book by their cover, even the most scholarly tomes of all.) And thank you, you were right, your letter did take me back to Narnia. It was a much needed treat, especially as I had feared that I might have upset Edmund by unintentionally implying that you, Peter, and I thought he was being too harsh with Eustace. He promised me he wasn't upset with me, just wanting to know my opinion. I believe he's gotten it all straightened out with Peter. Truly, Edmund's been particularly patient and kind to our cousin, even if our cousin hasn't reciprocated.

I will have to share with Edmund the details of the party. I think it will take him back to Narnia as well. I wish you to continue to have a wonderful adventure! Maybe Edmund and I will find one here after all, and I can write to you of some great exploits one of these days. Give Mum and Dad my love.

I miss you,

Lucy
