When you try and try and eventually fail, you either give up or keep on trying. But its mostly human to give up and think about something else. For Angela, it was over. She tried her hardest to stop her master from tailing her but it was no use. And recently, her master invaded her privacy, by coming close...too close without her consent which was equivalent to harassment. But she had made up her mind, she had to ignore him and if he does it again she'll have to deal with him a bit violently.

Angela went out of her room and worked along side her close friend Jéan in preparing breakfast. Jéan had a pretty good idea she was pissed but didnt know the reason but, because of his polite nature, he tried to cheer her up by opening a different topic. It worked. Angela seemed to smile brightly.

Time passed and the maid served breakfast. Like always, Charles left and Brenda was alone again. This time Angela took permission to give her Mistress company which Brenda delightfully agreed to.

"Is everything alright, Mistress Brenda? You seem off."

"Oh? Oh, nothin'. I just space out quite often" Brenda laughed awkwardly.

"No, you dont. Im not much of an analyst but even I can tell you're lying, Mistress." Angela said raising one of her brow.

Brenda, after 10 seconds, opened her eyes and let out a huge sigh.

"It's just... the Worthington's...they...they are stressing me out." Brenda said nervously.

"How come? Has there been a fight amongst youse?"

Shaking her head Brenda replied "They are coming...3 days from now...another fuckin' business deal!...Oh...sorry, just slipped out my mouth."

Angela smiled " It's alright. You dont have to justify yourself when you are clearly stressed." Replying with reassurance.

"These Worthington's...my father in law knew them and always explained them as 'stubborn'. I dont know how are we gonna make this deal possible."

Angela listened carefully and tried to think of something but couldnt say much than "its gonna be alright".

"Everything will be alright. Stressing wont solve anything now, would it? It wasnt stress that made you reach to this stature, was it? Or was it your will? If it doesn't work out, its not like the end of the world. One door closes, 100 open." Angela replied from the bottom of her heart.

Brenda's heart fluttered after hearing that motivation. Damn, did this girl read that from the internet somewhere because it was exclusive and filled with logic.

"Hehhehe. You sound just like my daughter. Thanks, Angela. You are right. Speaking of which, I dont believe I told you about Katherine."

Angela looked up in anxiousness.

"There she is." Brenda opened her phone to show Angela pictures of her daughter. Angela didn't quite see any pictures of Katherine because there weren't any on the walls but apparently there was a locked room which supposedly belonged to her but she didn't enter.

Angela was left astonished by the mere pictures of the elder daughter. She was...ravishing! Features inherited from her mother like hazelnut hair, blue eyes, short nose and a matching smile.

"Whao. She is gorgeous, she looks just like you!"

Brenda could only laugh at her cute yet honest remark.

"Where is she?"

Brenda put her phone down and looked down as her mood started to change.

'Crap! Did I say something wrong?'

"Im sorry for asking" Angela tried to console.

"Katherine...didnt want to stay in our family bussiness. She was much interested in architecture and arts. After last year--After her graduation, she requested to leave and live out her life in Chicago, where she had interviewed in the H4U organisation." Brenda said with less spirit.

Angela knew why. Not because Kate chose to be an artist but because of the incident last year. Thats why Brenda reverted her words so...briskly.

"Oh, so how is she doing?"

"She is doing perfect...im just worried about her. Thats all." Brenda's voice started to lower.

Angela wanted to console Brenda about the situation of how would she defend for herself when she is alone but she knew how that turned out.

"You dont have to worry. I mean, past experiences make us stronger. Im sure she is better than ever. Seeing she is your daughter and...Ryan's sister, I am positive she can handle herself pretty good." Angela spoke unconsciously.

Brenda still didnt look consoled. The mopy look didnt go away.

Brenda looked at Angela and gave a weak smile by changing the topic.

"So what's up? Any difficulty in our paradise?"

Angela couldnt reply she could only look at her as she was reminded of yesterday. How can she tell her master that her son is the problem? It felt so confusing.

"I know." Brenda looked suspicious.

'What?! She does?!

"Ryan's jokes are getting to ya, arent they?"

Angela looked down as her ray of hope vanished.

"Ryan jokes around. Its just his way of communicating, you don't have to talk to him. He's just changed and he only is like this to his family." even Brenda didnt know how to justify Ryan but that wasnt why Angela felt so disturbed.

"No, no. I ignore. Thats all I can do, right?"Angela faked a smile.

Brenda couldn't grasp her exact reason but she tried.

It was time for the plan to come to fruition. Angela didnt call it a plan exactly but sort of a hobby to keep herself from feeling down. She had given up and it was enough, too. There was blankness in her heart as she didnt want to think about Ryan anymore. She just wanted to mind her life and wait a few days until Bernard arrives. Was she going to complain?

Angela was cleaning Charles's and Brenda's room with care, when she heard a voice.

"Duties, duties, right?"

Ryan. It was him but Angela knew it but she wasnt the least bit interested or bothered. Heard it from one ear and released it from the other, so to say. Ryan saw her still working and not paying him attention.

"Cat got your tongue?"

Again, engrossed in dusting the trolley and side table. A plain expressionless face. Ryan raised his brows and quickly thought of something else.

"Hey, mom."

Angela still didnt turn around because Brenda was out and wasnt coming back for an hour. She remembers clearly what Brenda told her before leaving...so a failed attempt indeed.

Ryan could online smile at this moment, he left the room, knowing she was pissed off.

Angela still didnt smile even after acknowledging the absence of her master.

It was working fine and she just had to continue this until Ryan gives out and leaves her alone like Charles does.

In the next few days Angela used her every ounce of energy in maintaining her attitude and in ignorance. Ryan would not show up at the dining table to cause Angela to come and fetch him but this was rather childish as Angela thought of it earlier than Ryan. She'd just knock on the door with a bang and leave which gave a signal that his parents are expecting him. But Ryan didn't give up. He was more stubborn.

One faithful day Ryan was chilling in his swimming pool. He had a meeting in an hour and had notified his mother about it. Brenda asked Angela to fetch him and hand him a towel but Angela wasnt bothered in the least, she thought of it as a normal task, no biggie.

Angela slowly walked to the side of the pool and stombed the ground that caused Ryan to look back. Ryan, upon seeing her, smiled and got out of the pool only in his tight swim-wears. Slowly approaching the maid, he started

"I thought I asked my mom to remind me?"

Looking down Angela replied in her calm and slow voice "That's why she has a maid in her house. Im making things easy for her."

"But you came to me. Service her son too, right?"

Angela still looked down not wanting to look him in the eye. His words became more and more irritating but she didnt care. Strange. She had done her part and now she has to leave.

"That'll be all, then" Angela left without hearing a reply from Ryan. Who on the other hand started to feel bad for some reason.

Next day was going the same as usual. No, I, mean, NO interaction. Ryan was feeling pretty weirded out by Angela's behaviour and couldnt stomach her ignorance. After dinner, as the parents left, Ryan followed the beautiful maid to the kitchen. He stood at the entrance of the door and wasnt moving away.

With a grin "Don't you think youre being rude to me? Miss beautiful?" Ryan asked

"Can you please get out of the way, Sir? I have to pick up the dishes" flat reply.

"Sir? Thats new. I told you to call me Ryan, right? Dont you want any help ? Or are you just gonna act like a boss?" Ryan mocked by mimicking a girly voice .

"No, but it would help if you werent such a PAIN IN THE ASS!. NOW WILL YOU MOVE?!" Angela scramed a bit getting him off guard.

The look of annoyance was displayed on her face with sparks of rage and anger. Her eyes were filled with anger and hate which even she didnt knew she possessed. Was that all for Ryan? Hate and Anger?

That burst startled Ryan and made his heart skip a beat. His smile vanished, his face held a look of shock and blankness. He didnt know she was that angry with him. Ryan felt...fear. Apparently, he wasn't scolded in a long time thats why this feeling was ...hurting him.

Stepping to the side Ryan looked down and said "I am sorry." Giving Angela space to walk by. The handsome young heir was feeling weird but as he left the kitchen entrance, he started to smile.

'Damn, that girl has fire in her eyes!'And like that his mild was refreshed whilst Angela felt bad about bursting like that. It was for the greater good, nonetheless.
