Lucy to Susan, or

ScarlettCast to BrokenKestral

Dear Susan,

I know Ed already sent you a letter about what happened, but I had to write you, too! We saw Aslan again and you won't believe what he told us! He said that the reason he brought all of us to Narnia in the first place was so that by knowing him a little in that world, we may know him better in our own. I don't know exactly what that means, yet, but how exciting! For a long time I've had a feeling he was here – I just couldn't picture him leaving us, no matter what world we're in. If you see him, let me know as soon as possible! Apparently, he goes by a different name here, but it's him all the same! And I cannot imagine we would miss him, after all, how could we not know Aslan? Especially after our trip in the gorge.

Oh, Su, it was amazing! Though, I guess I should say we didn't actually set foot in our old home. We spent most of the time at sea with Caspian. He's brought such peace to Narnia that he was able to set out to sea. We went many places – first the Lone Islands, then to an island inhabited by a Star and one footed creatures that were at first invisible (until I read a spell that made them visible), all the way to the end of the world! And Eustace came, too. Susan, he turned into a dragon, a real life, fire breathing dragon! And as scary and mean as that sounds, it actually made him nicer! He's changed more than you'd believe. I know I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't experienced it myself. Him and Reepicheep became good friends by the end of the journey. Oh and Reep! He went to Aslan's Country! He rode right over the giant wave as we watched! Can you imagine what he must have saw? I wish I could have seen it, even just a glimpse...

I'm sorry, this must sound more than messy. I know I'm rambling, but I'm just so excited and it's so difficult to explain it all in a letter. Maybe we can save up enough money to do one of those collect calls – even if it's just for a few minutes, I'm certain I can make more sense. And I'd love to hear your voice. It's been so long since I've seen you and being back in our old home made me miss you and Peter even more. It's not the same without you.

We are about to leave for the train to go see Peter, the Professor, and Aunt Polly, so I must go now. I love you and I cannot wait to see you again, sister! Keep your eyes peeled for Aslan! I cannot imagine what the Americans will think of a Lion roaming about, should you see him, though I think they'd have a similar reaction as anyone here would. But you know them better, what do you think? They do seem to be a bit of a wilder sort, so maybe they would enjoy that Aslan isn't safe, though he is good. Please write soon.

All my love,
Lucy

P.S. Reep actually let me hug him before he left! You know I've always wanted to do that!
