Angela's eyes opened as if she wasnt asleep at all. Her day was going to pass like any other day, filled with the same routine, same exercise. But for some reason, Angela, always enjoyed it, she was excited everyday to serve the Reeves family, why? Because she had grown accustomed to them. It wasnt because Angela had been receiving a princess-life, with a separate private room, with everything any girl could imagine. It was because of the family. Brenda and Charles, have been treating her like she was their own child. They always praised her for her work, and for her pure heart. She loved how equally she was treated, how respectfully reasonable they were and above all, their politeness and hospitality.

But she woke up with joy, more joy than usual because...well because of the other day. The day passed, the memories didnt, neither did the moments. Like, she knew things were going to get even more perfect. Exicted as she was, she didnt forget to show gratitude and respect. Standing up, she arranged the bed and went to the bathroom to clean up.

Washing her face, Angela looked herself in the mirror and stopped there. Her eyes focused on her lips. As they did, she was suddenly reminded of the kiss last night before going to bed. The soft kiss, she received from the guy she thinks about all the time. Touching her lips, she felt the bliss, the touch of Ryan's lip, it ran shivers down her spine making her exicted even more.

'I cant wait to tell him. Maybe, I will today.'

Angela had fallen for Ryan and she was admitting it. Naive as she was but it was understandable. Ryan helped her from getting raped, protected her and remained awake all night, played games that gave her so much joy, introduced himself properly and with full honesty, his character was enough for her to fall.

Angela stepped out of the room to hear laughs coming from the guest room.

'Guests? This early?'

"Thank you for this welcome, Charles." Came a deep yet familar voice.

'Who is that? Wait!'

"Its so good to see you, Bernard."

'Bernard?! No, No. He's come?!'

Angela quickened her steps to find if her suspicions were true or false. Entering the room, there he was, standing in the middle, surrounded by the elder couple and staring at the intruder, who waltz into the room. Bernard Doss.

Angela couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her father, in the room, after more than 2 weeks, looking at her. She wanted to pinch herself to break this dream but her body was feeling numb in shock. Was he real?

"Hey, Angie. Your old man is finally here." Bernard said looking directly at her with satisfaction.

He was real, alright.

Angela ran as fast as she could and wrapped her arms around her father, burying her face at his chest. Within moments, sobs could be heard along with muffled voices.

"I missed you so much, Dad! I love you, Daddy."

Angela weeped and continuously expressed her love for Bernard infront of Brenda and Charles who smiled genuinely at this beautiful moment.

"I love you, too, baby. More than anything in this world." Bernard hugged back tighter.

They released the hug to take a look at each other. Angela had tears in her eyes but she had a smile across her face. Bernard wiped off the tears and said "Im sorry, baby. It took longer than I expected. Im so sorry."

Angela nodded, she had nothing to say because she believed him and knew that he would explain everything.

"Well, do tell us, Bernard. We also missed you." Brenda said gesturing everyone in the room to sit.

Angela didnt have to worry about the morning tea because it was already present near them. Jèan did all before Angela woke up.

"Bernard, you don't know how much worried we were. Angela spent most of her time praying for you, like you had gone on war or something." Brenda joked making Bernard look at Angela who felt shy.

"You kept us on our toes. And you didnt even call us properly, rude dontchya think?" Charles squinted his eyes.

"I deeply apologize, Charles. Things weren't exactly in my favour."

"What happened, Dad? And what was your work there?" Angela became curious.

Charles and Brenda were anxious to hear the reason, too.

"I had to leave for the Knoxville county, I had received reports from my friends there that properties were being conquered and some happen to be ours."

'Properties? Lands! What is he talking about?'

"Bernard, what happened?"

"I don't follow." Charles said.

"Well, its simple. Edgar Doss, my father left some fresh land for me before he passed onto the Lord. I had given the papers to my fathers friends for safe keeping, they were trust worthy in our eyes. The properties were being signed under, I dont know whats his name, by force. I had developed this case and struggled to get the approval. Turns out it wasnt in our favour so for proof I had to find the people possessing the papers. And it proved difficult to find them but with help from the mayor, we got the papers and won the case."

All three looked amazed by the struggle of this man. He did all of that, alone?

"Are you talking about farming lands?" Angela asked.

Bernard nodded.

"Jesus, Bernard! If you needed help, you could've asked. Why didnt you?!" Charles said angirly.

"Yeah, What the hell?! Youre our friend, Bernard. You could've asked Charles, you know he wouldve made it easier." Brenda folded her shoulders.

'Wow! They really like, Dad. Its just like yesterday when Ryan met his friends.'

"Im sorry. I knew we was gonna win but I had to do it myself. Sorry, that sounds a bit arrogant." Bernard surrendered.

Silence.

"So, these properties...what about, em?" Charles asked.

"Oh, haha. Their actually, for Angela. I assigned all under her name. About 200 hectares worth of property or so." Bernard said casually like that was a normal number.

"What?" Charles was shocked.

"Bernard! Is that true?"

Bernard smiled and all three looked at Angela.

Angela didnt know what to say. Honestly, she had no idea whatever they were talking about. But she did hear about a large property under her name. Like, what? Her father went for her sake? Did her father give her such a chunk of inheritance? She didnt know what to say.

"Congratulations, kiddo!" Charles praised.

"Thats quite a vast property, dont you think, Bernard? Why'd you hide it from us?"

Bernard sat up.

"To be honest, I had forgotten about it until 2 weeks ago. A source contacted me and then I remembered. Plus, I had to provide an inheritance to my one and only child." Bernard patted Angela's head.

'Dad...All for me?'

"But...Dad. I...I dont know...what to do with it. I wasnt expecting it either...it should be yours, Dad, not mine." Angela expressed her opinion.

"That is because he loves you, Angela. Saving an inheritance is just what a parent does. Its yours now." Brenda smiled in acknowledgement.

Bernard smiled at Angela. That smile represented how much he loved his daughter and what he'd do for her. Nobody, expected that a middle class family would be so rich from outside and inside, and have such property under their name. It was all hard to take in.

"Bernard, I have contacts with certain people

in Tennessee. These properties must be quite costly considering their fertility is rich and soil is still usable, not to mention present in lands with such pleasant climate. I can have these people carry out commercial agriculture. Its immensely profitable and at the end of the year you'll be living like any other wealthy person. Or I can help you sell them, either way, your whole life is going to change. What'd you say, Bernard?" Charles looked up, smiling as he provided a bussiness proposition.

The joy on Bernard's face was priceless. He smiled wholeheartedly, it seemed he would bear hug Charles at any second. Brenda's face also lighted up, feeling happy for the Doss family.

"Thats so kind of you, Charles. But...its not my decision to make." Bernard looked at Angela.

Angela didnt answer making everyone look at her. Her only thought was 'Do we truly need to do this? We've been better off with our work." The few seconds of silence became unnerving, she had to say something or else it would screw the entire atmosphere.

"Bernard? Hey, it's really good to see you." Ryan entered, hugging Bernard.

Bernard hugged back and laughed.

"Still an eyesore, I see. How are you, son?"

Ryan sat across Angela whilst maintaining eye contact with her father. The conversation then started between them.

Once again, Ryan helped Angela in a difficult situation, as a messiah.

"So, Dad. What's going on? Why the sudden conference?" Ryan was anxious to see why Angela was there, too.

"Well, to put it bluntly, Bernard has recently regained an enormous property, which is now under Angela's name. And, Ive offered to do bussiness with it." Charles explained.

Ryan looked ecstatic.

"That's awesome, isnt it. Congrats, to you both."

"So, Angela, wanna completely turn your life around?" Charles asked.

'But..but...What do I say? Is this a good thing?'

"I, uhh, I... Dad, what do you think? Im confused." Angela stammered.

"Its a great opportunity, isn't it? You can have everything, if it goes successful." Bernard reassured.

'Say it, Angela. Say what you are thinking.' Brenda thought.

"Dad...I already have everything. Even before I started working here, I had eveything I wished for. I never wanted to be rich and have all those possessions, I just wanted to be with you." Angela said.

"But, sweetie..."

"Dad...leaving college wasnt because We couldnt afford it, it was because I couldnt do it. I believed in hard work thats why you and I, we worked tirelessly, all day. Spending time with you alone, after a long day of service is the best thing in my life, Dad. I dont need money to be happy, I need you and I have you. I have eveything. Everything. Not to mention we weren't facing any financial crisis. Dad, you love being a butler here, as I love working all day. We dont do it because we have to, we do it because we want to. Deep down, you know it." Angela explained the truth.

Charles, Brenda, Bernard and even Ryan couldn't believe what they had just heard. Who would reject such an offer? An offer so amazing and beneficial. All were stunned but in a positive way. Their minds weren't ready to fully grasp what they were hearing but it was so honourable and filled with respect.

Brenda smiled thinking 'I wish, you would be ours forever, Angela. You're one special girl.'

Charles, in his astonishment, thought

'Kiddo, you seriously are something else. Im proud of you!'

Bernard spent his entire life working like his daughter. Earning and earning and not wasting a single penny. Surprising enough, Angela found tremendous work at the apartment she lived in. The neighbour's had their hand full and she helped, immensely as well earning well enough. As mentioned before, she worked a 12 hour shift in stores or restaurants which helped alot, as well.

Bernard smiled, tears started to fall from his eyes. He hugged Angela whilst sitting, saying "Im so proud of you! Im so proud of you, baby!"

Ryan grinned from left to right, also happy with her words.

'You're definitely the one for me!'

"Youre one special girl, Angela. And you're one lucky father, Berny." Brenda laughed.

"This is most unexpected but deep down expected as much from you, Angela. You continue to surprise us, everyday." Charles shook his head, laughing in satistaction as he did.

Angela felt joy and a weight lift of her chest. She was now heard, listened to and been responded to. It felt good to her. They understood what she was trying to say and it didnt took much convincing. Feeling proud, she giggled making Ryan mesmerised, again.

Ryan gave an acknowledged nod to her making her blush.

"The house wouldn't be the same without ya, kiddo. And we dont want that." Charles said.

"Neither does Ryan." Brenda suddenly said after Charles finished his sentence.

All looked at Brenda who covered her mouth and hid her chuckles. Angela's and Ryan's face became red as a tomato, looking at each other, getting nervous and looking elsewhere.

Such a proud moment was now shattered and the smiles were replaced by nervousness.

Charles looked abit serious at Brenda but eventually smiled at this true moment.

"Well...he does have quite a history with her, dontcha, son?" Charles looked at Ryan.

Bernard was utterly confused. Brenda was lauging, Charles was serious, the kids were nervous, what was going on?

"What are you guys talking about?" Bernard asked.

Brenda looked at Angela who was nervous as hell. Smiling, she nodded, gesturing to tell everything. Angela wasnt ready, she wanted to tell but tell what?

A few moments passed.

"Charles, Bernard, there's something you guys need to know." Brenda spoke.

The young couple looked at each other and then at Brenda, not believing what they were hearing.

The silence was unnerving. Bernard was curious as well as Charles.

"Dad... Im pretty sure its both ways. Angela and I, we're in love." Ryan stood up as he spoke slowly.

Silence. Utter silence.

Angela looked at Ryan, with eyes filled with tears. Her heart pounding and feeling warm, tears falling, mind just blank and focus solely on him.

Charles almost spilled his tea on his clothes. His movement stopped as if he was paralysed. His eyes widened, due to the sudden confession.

Bernard kept on looking at Ryan and Angela, back and forth, continuously, unbelieving the random couple. His mind was focused on Angela because he had never expected her to fall for Ryan.

It didnt feel like an awkward thing to say infront of your parents To Ryan, it felt like a perfect opportunity to take some load off.

Brenda only smiled at this confession. It was lovely, now they had admitted it, there was one less problem to deal with and she wanted that.

"Angela...Is that true?" Bernard whispered, like he lost his ability to speak.

Angela stood up. Tears running down her cheek, approaching Ryan and grabbing his hand.

"Yes! Its true. Im in love with, Ryan, Dad."

Ryan clenched Angela hand as he also heard the confession. He wasn't entirely sure whether Angela loved him back but now she was finally his.

"Angie, baby. I...When were you gonna tell me?" Bernard was positively stunned but not disspointed as he smiled at the end.

"I wanted to, Dad. I also wanted to tell, Mistress Brenda and Sir Charles but...you weren't here and Ryan and I didnt have a good start. I acted violent but I, later realised my feelings. Im sorry, im so sorry. But, im sure. I want to spend my entire life with him." Angela grabbed Ryans whole arm.

Bernard looked at Charles who was also looking back at him. He stood up and suddenly, hugged his daughter.

"Oh, sweetie...I'll always support you, in every situation. I love your choice, baby. Dont expect my rejection." Bernard let go of the hug and wipped the tears of Angela.

"What?! You accept?" Angela spoke.

"Of course, I would be a bad father if I didnt, right? Besides, Ryan is a good kid, i know him from his birth. I trust him." Bernard patted Ryans head making Ryan stunned, too.

Everyone then looked at Charles, the sometimes cranky old guy.

Laughing, Charles said "Tell me, is that another reason, why you werent ready to accept the wealth? So you could work here and be with my brat?"

Angela scoffed and nodded shyly.

"Dad? You approve, too?!" Ryan asked

"She's one hell of a person, Ryan. You're seriously so lucky to have her. I would love to see her everyday with Bernard and us, because she's grown at me, too."

With that, everyone laughed and praised the young couple. Bernard hugged Ryan whilst Brenda and Charles hugged Angela with pure love with Charles doing his trademark patting on Angela's head.

"So, you're stealing my daughter from me, huh?" Bernard acted serious.

"Yeah. Ryan, you sneaky devil." Charles joined the drama.

Both of them ganged up on Ryan, bullying him and giving nuggies. The room was filled with their laughter and smiles. Brenda and Angela laughed hysterically at this cute sight infront of them. Brenda kissed Angela's forehead and put her head on her shoulder, giving love of a true mother.

Angela felt the love, the affection from Brenda, reminding her of her own mother. It made her feel nostalgic and satisfaction.

"I'm so proud of you, Angela. You did it and you've given me what I always wanted : a happy family. You're our family now, you will always be with us." Brenda said wholeheartedly.

'Thank you God."

The whole family spent hours there in the guest room, cheering, laughing and celebrating. Time was flying by but nobody didnt seem to care.

Ryan, Bernard and Brenda were sitting at one corner, chatting contiously, while, Angela stood by the other corner with Charles, sipping on some tea.

"Hey, kiddo." Charles said smilingly.

"Sir--"

"Call me ,Charles. Sir is way too obedient, since we're gonna live under the same roof."

Angela smiled.

"Thank you for accepting me, Charles. I learned so many things here and I truly find myself falling in love with you guys everyday. You people have treated me like an equal, gave a separate room to me, gave me the honour to dine with you, and above all respected me. I am shocked beyond belief and I thank you for that. Thats why I love it here, Ryan isnt the only reason."

Charles raised his brows in happiness.

"You taught us many things, too, kiddo. Remember those Worthington's? We hated them, hehe. But after how you served that day with such delicacy, care, love and politeness, it just attracted them to us, you know. And that's how we've become close. How you truly made that kid's day a joy, treating her so nicely, it seriously hit me. You taught me to be polite to anyone we meet and the result will always be positive. When I offered you that secretary job, I was serious but you declined. As you said before, Money doesnt buy happiness, its just our will that makes it happen. That had so much meaning in it. I seriously used to think, Youre something else, Angela." Charles said.

Angela could only smile in shyness.

"Which reminds me, how did you become fond of Ryan? I mean, so sudden. What did you see."

Angela instantly replied.

"Ryan, is the most charismatic guy that exists. He is annoying and irritating no doubt but thats just his fun part. He is so lively, cheering, compassionate and his way of doing things, are so positive and filled with selflessness, it attracts you like gravity. He cares for his loved ones, is sensitive to struggling people, lightens up the mood and respects and understands ones conviction. Above all he is reasonable and understanding." Angela smirked at Ryan.

Charles stared at Angela in awe.

"Im so glad Ryan has you, you're really special. You saw more in him than I ever did. Like right into his heart, unlike anyone else. Others fell head over heels due to his handsomeness but you are not like others." Charles said.

Angela then remembered something important.

"Oh, that reminds me. Um.. Im sorry for how I reacted that way when...Ryan kissed me in the kitchen...I overacted, I guess. Im truly sorry." Angela apologized.

"That? Thats gone now, im not holding that against you or Ryan. Besides it was your natural reaction, why apologise?"

"Oh...I thought...you'd-- find it weird, of me reacting that way and then falling for him. Plus, it was because of me that you hit him." Angela stammered

Charles smiled

"Ryan has forgotten about that and so should we. Im not angry at that, I never was and I will never think your story as weird. Besides, I slap that brat even before we met you, he likes it, tobe honest. Enjoy your life, kiddo."

Angela stopped. After a few seconds, Angela hugged Charles to which Charles hugged back, kissing her forehead.

"Thank you so much."

"Youre welcome, daughter in law. "

And with that they left laughingly to join the weird trio in the corner.

"Since, we're on one page, I have only one conditon." Brenda said raising her hand

"You and Bernard will never work here as butler and maid, never, ever wear those uniforms. Berny, will accompany Charles and Ryan to work while you will help me redecorate the entire house. Any objections?"

All looked at her and then laughed satisfyingly, even Angela. Everyone nodded and continued their talks. Angela rested her head at Ryan's chest and kept on staring at him.
