Angela's eyes opened up to see the fan rather away from the walls. Looking to the left, she saw gaming posters, embedded at the walls, ranging from Army types to Fighting games.

'Strange, I dont remember them in my room.'

Looking at front, she saw a desk, a work table, close to the door, just to the right of its entrance.

'Huh?'

Angela felt her head on a rather thick and soft pillow.

'My pillows...their not thick...when did I change this.'

Sigh

Angela heard an exhale coming to the right. Moving her head in that direction, she saw her love, Ryan, fast asleep. It was then she remembered what happened, yesterday's brilliant incident after which Ryan told her to move in with him in his room.

'Oh, Right!'

Angela sighed at her silliness.

"Ah, this is so comforting" Angela cuddled beside Ryan, placing her arm around his chest, grinning satisfyingly.

She tried to close her eyes but couldn't sleep at all. She, carefully and slowly, sat up to not awaken her beloved so that she can get up. She wanted to get up but that plan changed as soon as her eyes focused on Ryan. Ryan was asleep, his mind probably adrift to an unknown world imagining random things. Angela looked at Ryan closely, she observed how Ryan looked so innocent in his sleep. It was cute and absolutely worth to see.

Remembering yesterday, how much fun they had, how much they wanted this to happen and it did, it brought a smile across her face. The day was joyful, Angela kept on telling funny moments, with her father, about their late mother. Ryan joined and brought up even more embarrassing moments of his parents that made Brenda and Charles blush in humiliation. They looked at Ryan with the most sinister look but Ryan wasnt phased by it.

After the hours of fun, Angela and Ryan went out to the same park where they went on their first date. They bought the same ice cream and proceeded to the park. For hours, the young couple kept on talking and talking, shifting from one topic to the other, walking the whole lane, mutiple times, admiring each others company and acknowledging each other. Holding hands, sharing ice cream and staring into the sunset. It was beautiful, truly beautiful.

Angela never thought she'd fall for him and Ryan had no idea that the maid who was supposed to provide service, was going to be the one who would steal his heart and become such an important person to him.

After coming back, Ryan and Angela played video games till midnight, until Angela felt sleepy. She never played games before but boy, was she a quick learner. She pretty much got the hang of almost every game Ryan threw at her.

Remembering all of these things Angela whispered to herself.

"I swear, I will always keep him happy."

"I heard that."

Huh?

Ryan opened his left eye then opened the other, chuckling abit.

"Oh, you were awake?" Angela was surprised.

Sitting up close to Angela, Ryan looked at her.

"Been awake for a few moments. Good morning, gorgeous." Ryan moved his head forward.

Cup

A small kiss between the couple.

"Good morning, yourself, handsome. Lets get up."

Angela stood up and stretched as hard as she could. Ryan did the same. Angela went to the closet to take out her uniform, when she was suddenly stopped.

"You forgot Mom's deal, already?" Ryan asked.

"Oh...Hehe...silly me. Old habits die hard." Angela smiled at Ryan.

Angela stopped.

Ryan noticed her confusion. She looked like she had no idea what to choose.

"You okay? what's wrong?"

Angela sighed slowly.

"Angela?"

"Sorry...I just...Im...I don't know what to do, seeing im not the maid anymore. Like, I always wore uniform and then worked but now thats all changed." Angela said abit sadly.

'Wow! She really loved working as a maid. Clueless, obviously, seeing she worked everyday from morning to night and now she suddenly shouldnt?'

"Hey. Why confused, man? Think of it as a long vacation. I mean, you worked all day, everyday for what? 4 to 5 years? Not a single day break but youve done enough. Its time to rest and enjoy your life. Think of it that way."

Angela heard it and smiled warmly at Ryan, nodding in acknowledgement.

"Hey, wear this. Good for indoors, huh?" Ryan chose for Angela.

It was a black sleeveless shirt with a white axe pattern at its base.

Angela liked it. She went to the bathroom to change while Ryan waited patiently outside.

It was early still, around 7.

Angela after coming out, went straight to the kitchen, thinking of helping Jéan.

"Good morning, Jèan." Angela gave a warm greeting.

"Good morning, indeed, mademoiselle." Jéan greeted back " Here to steal away my job."

Angela chuckled.

"Lets make a total french breakfast today. Seeing, you and I know food, we can make something special."

"Of course, mon chere. Follow my instructions."

The traits never fade away, Angela obediently responded to the cooks instructions and followed his methods. While the food was cooking, the sudden energy on Angela's eyes seemed to fade.

"Mon chere, you alright? What are you thinking?"

'I can tell him. He knows everything about me, maybe he can understand.'

"Jéan. Ive been feeling so happy but there is something bothering me. It's about this sudden change of tide."

"What change of tide? Are you talking about Ryan or your life?"

"No...its just...me and Ryan have confessed to our parents about our relationship."

Jéan was stunned for a second but smiled instantly.

"How romantic, mon chere! That is very lovely to hear."

Angela instantly looked to Jéan in slight shock.

"You approve? I mean, you dont find it weird?" Angela asked curiously.

"Oh, mademoiselle. What is weird about it? Love happens suddenly and randomly. Its nature is truly weird but not your story, no. Why, ask?"

'What? Like ,really.'

Angela hesitated but then spoke.

"Ryan, kept on approaching me, that I realised myself, but I...kind of hit him one day when he kissed me. So did Charles." Angela said looking down.

'Oh?! Did that really happen? I didnt know.'

"Ryan and I didnt have a good start. After that day, we kind of avoided each other. But then, he apologised and took me out on a date. I truly saw who Ryan Reeves was, his personality and nature, It was beautiful. I fell for him, I fell for his clean soul." Angela slowed down the dicing " We confessed to our parents, and the reaction was so different. I, fell for Ryan and a week before that, I loathed him...not only that, Charles, his father, hit him for me. And now Im in love with the same guy? Aren't they supposed to think 'Is this a joke?'? First, I complain about his behavior and then I fall for him? Shouldn't they be annoyed?" Angela kept on blabering.

Angela wasnt thinking logically. She forgot about logic and basic human reactions, because she wasnt around society that much, hence her confusion. She wasnt aware that the type of interaction she had was going to end well, though the hitting part was vaguely forgiven but still for ones happiness, the other forgets, nothing more and nothing less but what Angela truly wanted was to atone for her behaviour.

Silly girl.

Jéan placed his hand on Angela's shoulders

"You're too hard on yourself. Why are you thinking like that? Why are you so naive?"

Angela started to look up.

"Angela, the type of interaction you had was what you call a miracle. True, the obvious reaction would be them spourting nonsense in state of anger but the Reeves family are different, no? You know that."

Angela's minded started to grasp it, it was all coming together.

"Charles hit Ryan but he didnt hold it against you nor did he get offended when you confessed that you love his son...that is because he cares for you and Ryan. If Ryan was to confess and you didnt have mutual feelings he wouldve reacted differently, yes but Charles and Brenda are the most understanding people you will meet. They care for your happiness and Ryan's. What you do not know is that, after hatred always comes love. They knew it themselves that you would develop these feelings thats probably why they arent so surprised."

Angela, after hearing that, was stunned. Her mind started to gather all the missing pieces and put it all together. It all made sense. They were good people who never judged quickly. That was it!

Angela started to smile "Right! I guess, I never saw it that way...Thank you, Jéan. I guess I was overthinking it."

Jéan smiled "So you finally get it, huh? Im happy you found your resolve with, Ryan? I must say, you two make a perfect couple."

Angela could only blush at his compliment.

After breakfast, which went by smoothly, with the same environment as yesterday, the three males headed for work, leaving Angela and Brenda alone.

Angela helped Brenda redecorate her room, changing the wall covers, things like that. After a while of work, Angela sat on the balcony, reading a book, she grabbed from the guest room, wardrobe.

Angela found herself deeply engrossed on the deep story of the book. She was a fast reader but understood every word perfectly.

"Like it?" Brenda asked out of nowhere.

Angela turned her head around to see Brenda which made her wanna stand immediately.

"Oh, y-yes!"

Brenda's mood looked serious. Stepping forward, she looked Angela in the eye with the same seriousness. Angela broke a sweat.

"What'd I tell you yesterday?"

Angela's mind started to recall her orders.

"Oh, right. Hehe, sorry." Angela scratched her head, laughing nervously.

Brenda sat across Angela, taking it as a hint, Angela closed her book.

"You're getting famous, you know?" Brenda said.

A very vague thing to say.

"Hmm?" Angela hummed.

"Remember, Colleen? That straightforward, crazy woman? She has been constantly asking about you."

Angela didnt understand the reason.

"Why? Has there something happened, Brenda?"

Brenda smiled.

"No. Remember that offer? Turns out she is very interested in your beauty and wants you to model for her magazine."

"What? Seriously? I mean, I thought she was just getting too excited."

"Nah, she's just too stubborn to understand a no." Brenda chuckled

Angela smiled and thought for a moment.

"I dont know why people keep on mentioning my face. Everyone compliments it, I dont know why, I don't know what they see. Its just a normal face." Angela spoke the truth .

Brenda sat up, slowly.

"You're kidding right?"

Angela shook her head.

"That is because, you see your face everyday, so its become normal to you. Others havent seen as of recent, maybe thats why they like it."

"Well, it doesnt compare to you or Katherine's, now does it?" Angela raised her brow.

Brenda scoffed, modestly.

"Sometimes you crack me up, Angela." Brenda replied to her opinion.

"No, I mean it. Truly, you are quite handsome, yourself. Its still so unbelievable that you are about to be 50. I first thought, you're the daughter in law of this house." Angela chuckled making Brenda laugh in shyness.

Brenda and Angela kept on conversing, talking about random things and didnt show signs of stopping.

Brenda then asked.

"Angela, be honest now. Why'd you choose to refuse that property and gave all rights back to Bernard? I understand you were happy with your life of how it was, but there must be some other conviction."

Brenda looked curious, she truly wanted to understand her motivation.

"Im glad you asked. It's you, Charles and Ryan."

Brenda's eyes widened.

"You guys gave me the opportunity to work here, gave me a separate room, I mean, I have watched Rich people they give nothing to their workers. But you gave me a room to stay, allowed me to taste the cuisines served by one of the best chef's! But the story doesnt end there, you and Charles always treated me like an equal, like a daughter with respect, love and politeness. I still am utterly grateful for how I was treated, and thats how I fell in love with you people." Angela started to make eye contact "I know that Dad, always wasnt a worker exactly, he didnt do the cleaning like me, workers come to do cleaning only on sundays and you've stopped calling them to give me an excuse to work here. Why? Because of dad's request. I realised that and thats how I wasnt ready to stop working here, plus, Ryan...I want to stay with him forever."

Brenda was stunned to hear that. Her explanation was completely true and accurate. She caught on eveything so quick but the way she explained it, it was filled with positivity. Brenda grinned in satisfaction.

"Yeah. Thats pretty much it. Im very pleased to hear that, Angela. Truly, thank you for your words, they mean so much to me. But tell me, why'd you think that you would stop living here, if you had agreed to the deal?"

Angela raised her brow. She opened her mouth but didnt seem to form any words. Apparently, she was cluless.

"You're family, kiddo. I would've never allowed you to leave us, thats my promise." Brenda placed her hand on Angela's.

Angela realized the sincerity in Brenda's words. Angela recalled the words of Jéan, telling her how different this family was. How could she be ignorant. After all the politeness, the love and affection, how would she think that the family isnt attached to her as well?

Angela giggled shyly.

A few moments of silence.

"Brenda? Can I ask you something?"

"Mm-hmm." Brenda nodded.

"That day...when I cried in the kitchen...when Charles hit Ryan. I thought...you and him would react angrily...if we told you guys that we were together now. Charles hit Ryan, because of me. Shouldn't he be infuriated by my change on heart?"

It seemed Angela still wasnt convinced. Jéans words held logic but it was something she wanted to hear from Brenda's mouth.

Brenda burst out laughing.

Huh?

'What the hell?!'

In between her laugh, Brenda spoke "Do you think thats the first time, Charles hit Ryan?"

'What?'

Angela looked right and left searching for something to say but it became confusing.

"S-s-so..."

"Charles and I hit, Ryan, almost all the time. He's become used to us, there are times when he dramatically wants to get hit so that he can annoy us even more. Do you think Charles minded that because of you he hit his son? Hell, no. Stop being hard on yourself."

"Okay. But my change of--"

"That's natural, Angela. Youve havent been much around people, I see. It was bound to occur, and I was waiting for it. First impressions aren't always the last. I wanted my son to fall for a perfect girl like you, every mother wants that." Brenda said enthusiastically.

Angela felt the burden lift off of her chest. She got the answer, the answer she was looking for and wanted to hear. Now she could relax.

"Mother..." Angela whispered which Brenda heard.

The smile on Angela's face started to curve down as her face became more and more yellow.

"Angela, sweetie?" Brenda became worried.

"Oh, its nothing. Hehe" Angela let out a laugh which Brenda knew was a fake one.

"Its...just that you sound like mom, she had a habit of being so postive and laughable. You remind me of her, not just by personality but by looks too. I mean, she was really pretty."

Angela didnt make eye contact.

Her hands started to reach out to her neck, shoving it in, she took out a silver heart shaped pendant.

"Mom gave this to me." Angela smiled like an excited little kid. "Look, there she is." Angela opened the pendant, revealing a coloured picture of Angela's mother, Andrea Doss.

The innocent smile on Angela's face melted Brenda's heart. She started to feel a hard lump on her throat which was too thick to swallow. That smile...it was warming her heart but it also held pain.

Brenda looked into the picture deeply. Her eyes widened for an instant as the picture overwhelmed her.

"I never meet Andrea before, but she is gorgeous. She looks just like you!" Brenda tried to maintain her voice.

Angela nodded.

"This had my picture when it was with mom but...I changed it after she passed."

Brenda heard Angela's voice break.

"Oh, Angela. Sweetie..." Brenda whispered.

Angela looked up.

"No, its just that, she was such a humorous person. Most of her jokes were pretty gross but entertaining." Angela chuckled still holding onto that smile.

Brenda kept on looking at Angela, her eyes tearing up.

"Angela..."

Angela remained quiet for a few seconds.

"I just want...to tell her how...my lifes been going, how I've grown, how I've met such good people, about Ryan. I want to share so much with her...I miss her." Angela couldnt hold it any longer. The tears started to fall, the whimpers and sobs started.

"Oh, Angela!"

Brenda lunged forward and embraced Angela into a tight hug. Her arms wrapped around the young girls back while Angela burried her face on Brenda's neck, sobbing hard.

"I miss her so much! Why did she go so early? What'd I do to lose her?! I miss her so much, Brenda! I just want to talk to her, even for a second, just one second will be more than enough."

Brenda tightened her hug as her tears started to fall as well. Her heart started to throb in pain, feeling Angela as her sobs got louder.

"Shush, shush. Angela, its okay. Im here, don't worry." Brenda said sobbing.

"I miss you, mom. Ive never missed her this much before! I just...wanted her to meet Ryan...met you...Charles, Dad."

Angela held on tighter to Brenda.

Brenda kept on consoling Angela attempting to cheer her up and relieve her from this condition. Though, she wasnt her daughter, Brenda was acting more than a mother to her, like a friend.

Angela felt the warm touch, words and aroma of Brenda which reminded her of Andrea.

Time passed and Angela stopped sobbing, not letting go of the hug, though. Brenda liked it, she wanted her to stay like this, that way both can be helped.

Slowly letting go.

Angela looked at Brenda with a faint smile.

Brenda wipped of the tears of Angela's cheek and spoke

"Dont worry, Angela. I will always be here and I will always love you. Dont expect me to leave you early, alright? And know this, I will love you even more than your mother." Brenda said with tears.

Angela started to smile

"And I swear, I will make you proud of me and be there for you all the time."

Brenda felt satisfaction after hearing her statement. Unconsciously, her head moved forward to give a peck on Angela's forehead.

"Lets go out for a walk." Brenda gestured, winking.

Angela nodded excitedly and stood up.

The three bussiness male's came back around 6. All three looked exhausted, maybe it was a long day for them.

Charles and Bernard were too tired to say 'We're home' and collapsed on the sofa. Ryan, on the other hand, looked for his beloved. They hadn't seen each other since morning, but missed like they hadnt seen each other for weeks.

Ryan's first guess was the kitchen. He went there to look and he was right. There she was, with Jéan, helping in cooking. Ryan felt the same feeling, the warm feeling you get when you see your beloved. He never got used to it, that amazing feeling.

His eyes were literally glued to that raven hair and face that kept on looking to the right, with a smile, whenever Jéan said something to her. His eyes went down and down and down and looked directly at her bottom.

Ryan's eyes focused on that for 2 seconds until he diverted his look elsewhere in shock.

'Jesus, what the hell?! Why did I look there--What? Why the hell is my dick...erected?'

Ryan looked at his groin to see a bulge. His mind was clobbering in confusion.

'Okay, okay, okay. Remain calm, remain calm. Just forget what you saw, don't get into that bullshit, Ryan.'

Ryan opened his eyes on the noise of something falling on the kitchen floor.

"I got it. " Angela said to Jéan as she slowly kneeled down to pick that up.

The way she kneeled, her...botton was clearly exposed, and it was pointing at Ryan. Ryan felt his erection getting bigger, his head getting warm, blood rushing to his cheek and a funny feeling in his mind to just attack!

'Damn, she--The fuck?! What the hell am I thinking?!'

Ryan fought with himself.

Immediately, Ryan ran upstairs to his room, closing the door as he entered. Sighing hard, Ryan cleared his mind of all thoughts and images of the recent ordeal.

"Just, be calm. Be calm. You saw nothing." Ryan kept on reminding that to himself for a few moments until his erection vanished.

"Ryan?"

A voice came from behind as the door opened.

It was Angela.

"Oh, Ryan. Youre back." Angela moved forward to give a small kiss on Ryan's cheek.

'Okay, remain calm. Dont get act weird, act normal.'

"Oh, hey. Sorry, I came up, to clean up. Felt a little sweaty. Anyways, whats in the menu, smells good."

Angela then remembered what she had to say.

"Oh, its beef steak but with my personal chilli sauce and special spuds. Wanna try?" Angela asked excitedly.

"What? You kidding me? Of course!"

'Good, good.'

"Clean up, it will be ready in a few minutes." Angela turned around to exit the room.

As Angela turned around, her butt was exposed again to Ryan. Ryans eyes unconsciously looked at them and again felt the same feeling.

The innocent Angela walked out with a smile, unaware of everything that was happening whilst Ryan was feeling the most weirdest feelings ever.

'Fuck!'

Things are getting spicy as usual.
