It's been a few months since Jaune said goodbye to his friends, and a lot has passed since that fated day.

Blake came out and shared her Faunus heritage and her past with the White Fang, both teams had an epic food fight in the cafeteria, and of course there's the preparation and plans for the upcoming Vytal Festival and tournament.

And yet in spite of all of these recent events the group of friends can't help but think about the lovable blonde goof ball and leader.

Right now it was down time for the group in the library as half were studying and half were just messing around by some means.

"Guys" mustered up Ruby getting everyone's attention, "I miss Jaune".

"We miss her too sis" said Yang as she gently rubbed her sisters back, "Yeah, things just seem less boring without our fearless leader" said Nora.

"Sigh, look I'll admit even I'm starting to miss Jaune to some lesser extent, but the truth of the matter is that he's gone and we're here and we should focus on keeping our places here" said Weiss.

"You hear that guys, Weiss finally developed some feelings for vomit boy" shouted Yang, "Yang, keep it down we're in a library" said Blake, "Thank you" exclaimed Ren with his arms up to emphasize some drama to the mutual feeling.

"Come on guys, let's just head back to our dorms, we're only being a disturbance to everyone else" said Pyrrha as everyone mumbled in agreement.

As they all dragged their feet back to their rooms, they all notice something posted on the door of team PRN.

"Hey guys come here" called Pyrrha as she grabbed the letter as everyone gathered around.

"Where's the letter from" asked Ruby eagerly, "TRB, it's from Jaune" said Nora excitingly as they all rushed into team PRN's room to read the letter.

"Come on guys open up the letter already" said Yang excitingly as Pyrrha wasted no time in tearing the envelope open.

"Ok guys, quiet down so we can all hear. Dear friends, how are things back in Beacon, I hope you're all doing well. Sorry I haven't reached out to you guys sooner, but this town is about a century and half behind time that it's part of the reason why I'm writing this letter and not calling you guys through my scroll. In time though I plan to personally update this town with some basic necessities and amenities we've grown accustomed to. In fact by the time this letter reaches you, we should already start construction of the Arc Tower. Before I forget, I know I mentioned how I'm coming to live in RBT because of my great uncles, and well I'm going to tell you all about them and how they were the ones to pushed me to pursue my dreams of a huntsmen and take the risk like how I did getting in here. It all started 3 years ago, when my mother took me to RBT for the first time and where I met my great uncles, Gareth and Hackett Arc…".

Sitting in the passenger seat of a large family minivan was a young 14 year old Jaune Arc as his mind was adrift.

"Jaune, Jaune, Jaune!" called Mrs. Arc, Jaune's mother, as she wanted to break her son out of his stupor.

"Yeah mom" answered Jaune boredly, "I'm just telling you that we're almost at your uncles house now, so I want you to be on your best behavior when you meet them both" said Mrs. Arc.

"Why do I have to go to my uncles house anyway" asked Jaune, "Well you, yourself have said you dream of becoming a huntsmen, so your father thought it would be best if we sent you over here to spend some time with them, your father swears by them as being not only real and great huntsmen in their days, but also real mean with true chivalry, grit, and honor" said Mrs. Arc.

"Hold on, how can they be dad's uncles when grandma was an only child?" asked Jaune, "Well I'll tell you smart guy, they're your great uncles, meaning they were the sons of your great, great grandfather, and as you know he was a man that is still revered and idolized to this day by the family" said Mrs. Arc.

"Ok, but why isn't he here right now taking me to see them" asked Jaune, "You know you're father is busy trying to train your sisters to become future huntresses of tomorrow along with his day job" said Mrs. Arc.

"And that's another thing, why can't he train me like how he trains my sisters since I desperately want to be a huntsmen more than anyone else in this famile" argued Jaune.

"Jaune Arc! You will not use that tone with me are we clear young man!" scolded Mrs. Arc as both took a minute to cool off.

"We're almost there, be ready and cautious" said Mrs. Arc as they both drove past signs with a bunch of false warnings towards anyone who trespasses onto their land

Coming up the drive way, the mother and son duo pulled up outside an old 2 story wooden house with a tower on top.

The main property was unsightly and forgetful as the house lacked any color, there was nothing but mainly dirt and gravel outside the house.

However the moment Jaune even attempted to exit from the car, he was instantly hounded by at least 7 dogs and a pig that gathered around him, forcing the young teen to retreat back in the car.

"Jaune, get on out, they're just animals" said Mrs. Arc as she walked passed the barking critters without worry.

Seeing as there was no escape, Jaune hurried out the car and rushed to his mothers side as they walked up the house to see it empty.

"Gareth! Hackett! You there!" shouted Mrs. Arc, "Maybe they're not home" said Jaune innocently trying to get out of staying here.

"Nonsense they're probably down by the pond" said Mrs. Arc as she began to lead Jaune down towards the pond where they both began to hear gunfire.

Upon getting close, Jaune spotted 2 old men wearing wet suits, trying to fish with an assault rifle and a shotgun.

"Damn it Gareth, just shoot the damn fish already" jeered Hackett as he was an old man in his 70's, he wore a thick blue wool beanie that covered most of his hair, which was platinum blonde, he had a pot belly, a thick bushy mustache and a scowl that was permanently stuck on his face.

"Hey, you're the one who wanted the assault rifle this time" shouted back Gareth, a man also in his 70's as he wore a grey Stetson, large lens glasses, no visible facial hair, and had a bit of a lanky build.

"Gareth! Hackett!" shouted Mrs. Arc getting the 2 old men attention as they lowered their rifle and scattergun.

"Did you sent for a hooker" asked Hackett to his brother as he shook his head no, "It's me Satine Arc, wife to your grand nephew Christian Arc" said Mrs. Arc.

"God damn it, more relatives" jeered Hackett as both men began to wade their way out the pond and lead their unwanted guest back to the house.

"We have no interest or desire to look after some lily livered sissy boy from the suburban city" said Hackett, "That's why I brought him here, my husband sent me here on his behalf so you can turn our little Jaune into a man" said Mrs. Arc.

"Satine was it, I'm sorry but you're just better off training that boy of yours to become the ideal househusband and hope he gets lucky to be married to a rich sugar mama" said Gareth.

"Jaune, wait out here and let me have a word with your uncles in private" said Mrs. Arc as Jaune sat out on the stoop of the house where the pig walked up and pressed it's nose onto Jaune's cheek.

"Uh, hello there" said Jaune awkwardly as he soon found himself being surrounded by the dogs as he couldn't hear his mother's conversation.

"He is your great grand nephew and like your grandnephew, he needs some real men to make him into a real huntsmen" said Mrs. Arc.

"Look, what we did to Christian was a life time ago, and in a time where boys can still grow up to be men, manly men mind you" said Gareth.

"Look, my husband stands by the belief that you 2 are the only ones capable of turning my son into a great man and I stand by my husband on that belief too" argued Mrs. Arc.

"Alright fine, we'll take the boy, but I want you to know that we know nothing about raising kids, he's got to learn to think and act for himself, also I ain't gonna be the one to feed him" said Hackett.

"That's fine, because Jaune isn't a boy anymore, he's a man and is ready to grow to be a better man" said Mrs. Arc as Hackett let out a grunt as he threw his arms up.

After exchanging some final pleasantries, Mrs. Arc exited the house to find her son exactly where she had left him.

"All right Jaune, this is goodbye for now son, I know you're gonna have fun" said Mrs. Arc as she held onto her sons hand whilst Jaune stared deep into her eyes.

"Mom, I don't want to stay here, I mean they probably don't want me stay" said Jaune, "That's not true your uncles are just thrilled to have you" said Mrs. Arc.

"How can they, I mean I'm only hearing about these guys on the same day I'm meeting them. Let's face it mom, we're more like strangers than we are family" said Jaune with a pout.

"Jaune, I need you to listen to me for a second sweetie and I want you to pay attention to what I have to say" said Mrs. Arc as Jaune looked at her with baited breath.

"Strangers are just friends whom you've never met, and that is exceptional when it comes to family cause they are the greatest friends whom you'll ever meet" said Mrs. Arc with a warm smile.

"Now I've got to head back home now son, don't be afraid to call or write now" said Mrs. Arc as she placed a caring kiss on her sons cheek, oblivious to the leering eyes of Gareth and Hackett.

"You think she's just sending this boy here to get on our good side and try to get our money" asked Hackett, "No, they're Christian's wife and kid, besides if they truly did come here for the money they'd have already robbed us both blind by now without us knowing it" said Gareth.

Finally stepping outside the 3 Arc men saw Mrs. Arc drive off as she trusted the fate of her son to these 2 men whom she did have some level of distrust, but decided to ignore it and pray for the best.

Present Time

"…Seeing my mom drive off like that was the most upsetting thing to happen to me that day, but not the most surprising thing that day. I'll tell you guys more about them and my story another time, until then take care and I can't wait to hear back from you guys. With love from your fearless leader and best friend, Jaune Arc" read Pyrrha.

"Well at least we know he's safe and is doing well" said Pyrrha, "Yeah, but he had to leave us hanging like that, like seriously Jaune, boo buddy, just boo" said Yang.

"Well let's write back to him and ask him to send a longer letter to tell us more about his life in RBT and his uncles, I'm curious to hear more about his time with them now" said Ruby.

"I'm way ahead of you" said Weiss as she pulled out a fancy looking fountain pen and some parchment as the group of friends went back and forth as to what they should tell him from their recent exploits and adventure.
