Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here. Back with another story. This one about Helltaker Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Helltaker, Vanripper does.
There were thousands of souls sent to the underworld every year… Every year. Every day, every second… Someone would die and get dragged under when they left the world of the living.
"Hmm…" Pandemonica muttered while she tapped her fingers on her desk.
Her job was thankless, act as a greeter to hell in a way. No soul seemed to care about her more then a regular demon. She couldn't exactly complain, it was simply what she was.
"Do you ever go on break, Pan?" Pandemonica heard from one of her coworkers. She turned her ever existed head to the side.
"I do when I can." Pandemonica said as she rubbed at her eyes.
Pandemonica knew there was very little 'breaks.' For anyone down here. They would work long shifts, then they would go home and rest as much as they could. The fact of greeting new souls was not something anyone could just retire from when it came down to it.
"You know coffee break comes soon." One of the demons pointed out which made Pandemonica raise an eyebrow.
"You know what happens when I get coffee." Pandemonica responded and sighed before rubbing at her eyes again.
She was tired, but she didn't want to rest yet. It was funny, she didn't remember them getting paid for this like humans often would.
"Doesn't mean you can't take a few sips." Pandemonica heard from one of her coworkers stated before the greet demon rolled her eyes.
Then again? Pandemonica didn't know much else her people did, they just worked… It was all they knew, and all they were good at when it came to things.
"I just told you…" Pandemonica said before letting out a yawn as sleep finally started to claim her.
"Go home, Pan." One of the demons ordered before turning to the side. "It isn't like there will be anything interesting for a while anyway." The Demon put in.
Pandemonica wanted to talk, but she was far too tired to really protest. It wasn't like she had much to argue about anyway.
"Fine… Call me if you need anything." Pandemonica managed to state.
She packed up her things and left. She was beginning to tire already. Pandemonica left, too exhausted to argue or put up much of a fight.
"I'm started to think of what's going to happen down here soon… If anything." Pandemonica muttered to herself with annoyance. She let out a hum. "Then again? What the hell ever happens down here to matter?" Pandemonica added to herself and yawned.
She began the walk home. Part of her wondered how the other devils were doing at the moment. Part of her realized though that they were probably fine.
"Isn't like we can die any more than most people have." Pandemonica muttered to herself while letting out a sigh.
Pandemonica was going to pass out sooner or later if she didn't get home soon. She almost regretted not drinking coffee before now.
Almost, if it didn't screw with her brain and make her go crazy. It would almost feel worth it in the end.
"Damn it…" Pandemonica muttered with an annoyed sigh before yawning once more as she walked forward.
She could feel herself passing out just as she felt the door for her house. Pandemonic opened the door quick.
"Ugh…" Pandemonica muttered to herself as she collapsed on the sofa. Her energy was fully drained from the exhaustion of trying to keep herself away. "Time to crash…" Pandemonica muttered to herself as she finally passed out once and for all.
The woman didn't notice a being crash to the ground as she slumbered. It was a demon… Well, a lost soul that had crashed outside the gate where they were usually sent. The being didn't remember his own name.
Still? Nobody could tell they'd have such a great time when they met, mainly because of how similar they could be.
Pandemonica sighed and crumped to the ground. Her exhaustion was more like a sickness than anything else.
"There was far more then I thought." Pandemonica muttered to herself while grumbling with annoyance.
The being started to move, driven by his own power after a moment of hesitation.
It was all he needed to stand up with annoyance. Grunting and groaning.
Author Notes
Phew, another chapter done! I want to point out that this story sadly won't be updated constantly due to factors like other stories or so. Next chapter will be in a month or so and will show Pandemonic meet the new demon or such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: Next chapter will be 900 words hopefully and will be soon hopefully.
