It's been one week since I've become a baby again, or more specifically transmigrated into a baby. Considering my size and inability to move I reckon I'm only a month or two old.
Although I've had ample time to consider my situation, I still don't know whether to feel lucky for this opportunity or downright angry for being stripped of my previous life, though since I didn't have any family or real friends who would care if I existed or not, I guess the former is what I'm feeling.
I've read of similar situations in manga and light novels but the problem is I don't know what type of world this is, although I do have a small suspicion of whether this is a certain battle-oriented harem novel. But I suppose I'll leave the monologuing for some other time since I'm starting to feel sleepy, being a baby does not help staying awake.

It's been five years since I transmigrated and three years since I left behind the horrors of baby life, even thinking about those horrible, helpless times gives me goosebumps. My fears aside, I did finally find out which world I was in. Highschool DxD, a world filled with various supernatural creatures, also the world where I have only watched the anime and have only some basic understanding of the later plots, and the cherry on top, I can only remember up to the fight against Kokabiel, which I might add is just a basic level threat, considering the enemies that appear later on.
Now, if you're wondering how I found out, It's all thanks to my dear heart-attack-inducing brother Issei Hyoudou. Why heart-attack-inducing? Because Issei is a trouble magnet of the highest caliber, with him being the protagonist and everything.
Nonetheless, Issei is just a kid right now, and I have plenty of time to get ready, though It makes me wonder when he starts to become obsessed with boobs.
Anyways, this brings me to my next big question. My Cheat!
Now, if your thinking it's a sacred gear, sorry to burst your bubble but it isn't. It's something I'm very, very familiar with, A system.

Though the problem is I can't level up no matter what I do, I can increase my stats manually as with my Physical stats, which have increased with my growth. It's been a year since I unlocked the system, and I was just about to give up until a quest popped up a few days ago.

When I first saw this, It reminded me of a training regiment albeit a toned-down version of a certain bald hero. While I was considering whether to accept it, I heard someone calling me.
"Hey, Rave! Let's go play! Irina-chan is here." I turned to see Issei standing next to the door with a huge smile on his face.
"Yeah, just give me a second, and I'll come. " I said to him.
Oh, and if you're wondering why he called me Rave. My name Karasu basically meanings raven, so I taught him to call me Rave instead. And speaking of that, learning Japanese was a freaking chore. So, I can state English is still my preferred language.
While looking at my twin, I noticed several differences between us, whereas Issei had spiky brown hair and light brown, I had dark brown hair and hazel eyes. I looked a lot like my grandfather, at least thats what my parents said.
With one last look at the system screen, I left with Issei. I guess I'll take that quest later.
- 2 Years Later -
I've been doing the quest repeatedly for the last two years and although my stats had increased quite a bit, I still haven't been able to level up so I gave up thinking about that for now.

Aside from my snail-paced road to badassery, my family and I were outside saying goodbye to Irina and her family. Speaking of Irina, she along with me and Issei have spent all these years together and we had grown so attached we were inseparable, especially, Irina, she was really clingy.
It must be really hard for her, not to mention she was crying all day long. Unlike me, she didn't know that we would meet again. I guess I'll have to cheer her up.
"Hey, Irina!" I called out to her, as she looked at me with teary eyes. Come on girl, your making this hard for me to do. Don't look at me with those eyes, I'm trying to cheer you up.
"Irina, I promise we'll meet again, right, Issei?." I tell her as Issei looks at me confused.
"Yeah, Irina-chan. I'm sure we'll meet again." Issei replies as I subtly elbowed him.
"Really? Do you mean that?" Irina asks me to which I nod.
"Yes, It's a promise," I say as I bring my pinky finger towards her.
"Then, It's a promise." She says as we link our fingers together.
With one last hug, she turns to leave. As Issei and I stand there watching her go.
Little by little, we were getting closer to canon, with this, I only had 10 years to get stronger and with the pace, I was going it wasn't enough. I had to get stronger fast.

I was rendered speechless for a moment, and after reading it again for a few times, I couldn't describe the emotions I felt. This was exactly what I need. So I did what any person in my position would do.
"HahaHAHAHA" I laughed.
"You okay, bro?" Issei asked while looking at me like I was crazy, but I didn't care right now.
"Yeah, I'm fine. By the way, Issei you wanna learn martial arts?" I asked him.
"What brought this on? Are you sure your okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. Just answer the question."
"No, I'm not. Why did you ask?" He looked at me curiously.
"No reason. I was thinking of taking up martial arts." I say before taking one last look at the distant silhouette of Irina and start heading home.
"Come on, let's go home." Well, I guess things are finally starting to get interesting.
Well, now that you have read till now, I'm sure you have realized the similarities between this and Dxd- Hallowed blade and before you ask, yes I got inspiration from this story and no don't worry the future chapter will not be the same as hallowed blade nor will it have the same concepts.
Now that said, I'm sure some readers have played Elsword, and the main character is inspired by Raven. I won't say anything concerning his future abilities or anything and leave it as a surprise, but I'm sure some of you might figure it out. And I'd also like to say I might bring in some other characters from Elsword and I might also add some OCs but not more than 2 or 3.
And finally to address the elephant in the room, the system. Now I said at the start that I added the concepts of I alone level up. And I'm sure you guys recognize the system from it. Of course,
there are some differences in this from the traditional systems so that the MC won't be a God from the start and to make sure that he'll have to work for it. Now the only noticeable change is that I swapped out a perception with wisdom, this stat will still increase perception but, it will also increase MP recovery. Also concerning the stats, I've made tiers for him considering his level and bonus stat gains from the quests. I'll post them in the next chapter.
Another thing I want to address is whether MC should become a devil or not, cause I'm stumped regarding that and if he does whose peerage should he join. I won't have him join the angels but maybe make him join the fallen and have him remain human. Or maybe making his team. I don't know for now and decide later after I flesh out the story a bit.
Anyways I guess that's all for now.
