'Ah, nice to meet you. So... mind explaining what happened?'

"Certainly, though it might take some time."

'But, first, let's enter your mindscape.' My vision was suddenly engulfed in darkness. When I opened my eyes, I was in some kind of valley surrounded by red mountains with... lava running through them...

"The hell is this supposed to be?"

'Like I said this is your mindscape.' I turned around to see an enormous golden-red crow sitting at the peak of one of the mountains. It was simply beautiful, it's well-groomed feathers shining under the light, it's three-legs looked sharp and gleaming and finally, the golden crown atop its head gave it a majestic feeling.

It must have liked my awestruck look because it perked up fluffing its feathers.

"Well, damn you look gorgeous," I tell her.

'Thank you, but if your done admiring me, should I start? She asks in a teasing voice.

"Ah, yes"

'First, I'll tell you a little about my self. I'm one of the Three Supreme Fire Beasts along with the Phoenix and Vermillion Bird." suddenly her tone took a darker turn, 'Among them, I rank last in strength,' before returning to normal,' Whereas my flames rank first in strength.'

"Well, that was informative, but what I want to know is why you were some kind of red orb."

'I was getting to that' she says sounding a bit annoyed,' Anyway, I don't exactly remember how I came to be inside that orb but what I know is that I was sealed there because of my... behavior, You see I was very prideful and arrogant in the past, I destroyed everything, everywhere I went so God sealed me as a punishment. I guess It was some kind of prototype for the sacred gears.'

Hm, that was quite interesting. So it was God that sealed her.

' Since then, I've had quite a few hosts who tried to harness my powers before but unfortunately, it didn't work out'

Now I was curious, "What do you mean?"

'You see my flames carry the concepts of destruction, therefore finding a suitable host is hard. Almost all of my past wielders had their lifespan significantly reduced or downright died. I was not like traditional sacred gears that were tied to the wielder by birth. So they couldn't adapt to my powers.

I had nearly given up but then...

I saw you. Your soul was of another world, it was different, it was tempered, it was strong. Strong enough to handle my power. Then I somehow found myself inside that bronze chest, and then you found me.'

"Well, that's... quite the story. So does that mean you... ahem, know everything?" I was asked nervously.

'If you mean if I know that this is an anime in your world, then yes.'

"Oh, so... you're okay with it?"

'Yes, well there isn't anything I can do. But enough about that. I want to talk about you, or more specifically your little adventure in the Wolf Den'

She suddenly changed topics to today's blasted incident.

"Yeah, what about it?" I asked grudgingly.

'Do you understand why you lost?'

"Yeah, it's because I overestimated myself."

'While there is some truth to it. That's not the real reason you lost. You didn't utilize your full power or more specifically couldn't.'

Now that got my attention, " What do you mean?"

'To say it simply you were only using about 80% of your power. You see, all these years you have trained, when have you were gone all out. When you fought against your fellow students you had to hold back. Therefore you started unconsciously hold back, this has shackled your power.'

"Seriously?" Now that I think about it, what she says is true. I always hold back in fights, Shit if Kaori finds out I won't hear the end of it.

'Well, this would have been easily fixed with continuous battles but the problem is that you started leveling up and raising your already unstable power. This was the reason why the system had given you a higher leveled dungeon. It wanted you to consolidate your rapidly raising strength. And if you by chance entered the dungeon the significant difference in strength would have helped unshackle that power.'

"Holy shit! The system thought about all of that?" Me being surprised was an understatement.

'But unfortunately, while you were slowly getting the hang of it an unprecedented situation happened. The boss had left his area of command and come to you. Forcing me to interfere.'

"So, let me guess. Because of you I once again had a power up, therefore I still can't fully access my power" I asked her after a bout of reflection.

'Yes, but that's putting it lightly. Why don't you check your status? And see for yourself.'

I did what she said and... boy oh boy.

"... The hell is up with my stats, all of them increased by 5 points which I can sort of understand, but why the hell did my Hp and Mp increase by so much." Of course, this was a good thing but this type of huge increase was baffling, to say the least.

'It is the result of my power. While my power is focused on destruction it is also has a high yang concentration. Hence the increase in your vitality.

While she was gushing about her power I checked the effects of my abilities.

[Sacred Gear]

-Nova Imperial Armament: Also known as, The Claw of the Golden Crow. It gives the user the ability to produce the Flame of Destruction annihilating everything in the user's path.

- The user can cause explosions and unleash immense fire blasts.

- The user will be able to call upon the Ignition crows to assist in battle.

- The user will be able to use the ability 'Overheat' increasing all powers and damage. This ability is stackable but overuse may cause server damage.

- The user will be able to ability 'Heat Detection' to detect lifeforms that emit any form of heat.

-Blessing of the Golden Crow: The user has obtained the blessing of the Golden Crow giving control over the Flames of Destruction and immunity to Flames of less strength than the Flames of Destruction. Due to the blessing the user will gain an intense aura and increased affinity with creatures associated with flames.

"... I must be dreaming. This is too good to be true... I think I need to lie-down." This right here is what you call hax bullshit.

'So, what do you think?' Asks the bird responsible for giving me the hax.

"You want to know what I think? I think... I think your fucking AWESOME!" I tell her brimming with excitement. "This is a dream come true. With this, I'll be able to get a lot, lot stronger."

She suddenly becomes very quiet and after a few moments ask me, "I'm curious. Why are you so obsessed with becoming stronger?"

"Huh? What do you mean? Of course, it's to protect my family and make sure we won't get killed." I tell her confused.

'... Raven, that's... not a reason, It's a responsibility.'

"..." I still didn't understand about what she wanted to say.

'Raven, this is your second chance. If the only reason you purse strength is to protect, your brother could do the same. I don't mean it's not a good reason but it shouldn't be your only reason. Like I said before, protecting someone is a responsibility, not a reason.

Your brother is a pervert who dreams to become a harem king. That's his reason for living, his drive to become stronger. What's yours?'

"..." I didn't say anything. I couldn't... All this time the reason I wanted to become stronger was... because I was afraid of dying and leaving everything behind, losing the people I've come to care about but that's not a real reason. It's a feeling, a feeling every person shares. So... what is my purpose? Why was I given this opportunity? Why was I given a second chance at life?

'I'll tell you again, it's okay to care about others but sometimes you have to selfish. Close your eyes and just for one moment forget about your family, friends. Forget about everything. And think. Think about what YOU want to do?'

What... I want... to do? Closing my eyes, I could see flashes of my previous life. Going to school, eating, drinking, reading, sometimes talking to people. I was just living like everyone else. Everyday doing the same thing over and over again. Just a normal man with a normal life. But then I could see, no I could feel... the helplessness, despair, and anger. Anger for everything I saw. I had lost everything cared about leaving me all alone.

I opened my eyes, So that was it... I was afraid, afraid of losing everything again, that fear has been what's fueling my desire for strength, but it's something in the past and I had to let go, let go of my fear, but after that, what should I do?Then I heard him, his words.' Always do what makes you happy. Don't shackle yourself to the belief of others. Live your life the way you want.'

"Do... what makes me happy, huh?" What makes me happy...

"I want to eat delicious food, I want to explore the world, see everything I can see, I want to meet new people, learn new things, I want to love and be loved and... I want to fight, fight strong people. I want to leave a mark of my existence in this world, I want to feel the thrill of life!"

'Hahahaha, Well said! That's the way it should be!

Okay, guys, I hope I did a good enough job. I've never written an emotional scene before and hope this was able to get through what I wanted to say. I'm sure you guys noticed that since the start the only thing that was constant with him was his small obsession with becoming stronger but I never really gave him any other core character traits to differ him from others. From this scene what I wanted to do was make him somewhat life-like. For example, Issei's core character trait is that he's a pervert, Vali's a battle-maniac. For Raven, I wanted him to be somewhat eccentric. I mean he was a person who had lived a separate life in a normal world, a sad life at that. Now he was in a supernatural world where anything is possible. So I wanted to make him a person who seeks to enjoy his life, a person who'll take full advantage of his second chance. Of course, I won't dramatically change his personality, I'll be building it up little by little in the following chapters.

Anyways, now that the hard stuff is out of the way. Are guys happy with the sacred gear? I wanted to give him something powerful but not overly so what I did was give some pretty high-class stuff but made sure that If he wanted to achieve God-killing level power he had to pay a price or had certain requirements. What I want to say I had quite a few abilities I added but removed for now because I wanted him to awaken them like a second liberation and stuff. Also, kudos to who noticed that the sacred gear was gonna be a combo of reckless fist and veteran commander. But he will still be main the blade path. I don't know if you guys noticed but I kind of made sure that his sacred gear would be more suited for supporting like enhancing attacks, the core helps in offense and defense, and the crows, can't forget the crows. They are like a mini summons that'll attack multiple targets. So yeah he will be like a combo of all 3 paths. And before you say it's too much please remember the other bullshit gears. Oh yeah if you want to know how exactly it looks for now, it's basically his arm the same covered by metal, fingers clawed, and he spikes from his elbow and shoulder. It's the same size as his normal arm. Its appearance will change as it evolves though.

Also before I forget to mention the reason I did that whole your hold back gag was because I wanted to stop him from growing too fast you know since I kinda established that the level limit is 99 for now so I don't him to like be in the 80s when canon starts and if you forgot he's still only 10 years old so 7 more years. That's one of the reasons I made that it so he levels slowly. I'm planning for like the early 60s in level by the start of cannon.

Oh, yeah before I continue I'll be revealing some of my future Ideas and plots regarding the story the harem stuff will be revealed in a few chapters so it doesn't really matter if you read but the later parts are regarding a few changes I'll be doing or planning to do to the story so If you like surprises don't read em. But I'll just leave a spoiler warning all the same. And the reason I'm doing that is that I need some advice regarding the plot, of course, I know writing my future plot plans here is kinda stupid but I know some of you don't really care of spoilers like that because hell I know I don't and I read spoiler all the time.

Now, for the harem. I'm gonna be keeping Irina in issei's harem and make the MC sort of like a big-brother figure. As for Kuroka, I think I'll be adding her, and

I'm planning on having the MC meet her when he's like 14 after I introduce the bounty function for hunting stray devils and other faction traitors. I'm planning on basing their relationship on Spiderman and Black cat. I really feel like it'll turn out well.

Anyways, now for Rossweisse what should I do. Should have the MC meet her when she's on vacation or something. Cause I don't think she had gone out before becoming Odin's escort. Or maybe I'll just have them have a chance meeting with each other and exchange numbers or something and finally meet again when Odin comes to that meeting.

Though the biggest problem is Murayama.

Like I'm thinking of having her attacked by a stray devil when she's 15?, and then MC saving her, leading her to interrogate him and then having MC train her a bit or maybe have her grampa barge in then telling her about her demon hunter heritage, she unlocks her sacred gear yadda yadda and when the devil's start school they notice her then invite her to join the peerage, she refuses and instead chooses to become a temporary ally. You know like those Pacts. But making sure that the devils don't know about the MC.

Now, this part is concerning the changes in the story and character I'll be making so like I said before read at your own risk.

First, off about Issei, he'll awaken the boosted gear early and become a devil earlier as well. I won't go into detail on how it'll happen but this would cause a lot of problems to the cannon plot since Issei would be stronger and there wouldn't be any Raynare kill dates or I might add that for shits and giggles, but the biggest changes would happen with the Riser and Kokabiel battle. Now for Riser, I'm half tempted to have Raven fight him cause of the feud between the golden crow and phoenix. But we'll see. Now for Kokabiel, this is the part where I'm planning to reveal the MC's Identity but I'm kinda conflicted cause since Issei is stronger and everything he should be able to beat Kokabiel. Maybe I should have him awaken the sacred gear just before the fallen angels come to town.

Now, for the MCs major plot point, actually, nevermind I won't tell you that. I'll just say that I'm gonna have him say have a cordial relationship with Azazel cause I really like his character not to mention I feel that Raven and he have somewhat similar personalities. And the Khaos Brigade and Ophis not really sure what to do with them. But What I will tell is Sorry Cao Cao but I'm stealing Jeanne. Maybe have a small relationship with them at least with team Vali. Kinda wanted him and Vali to be friends.

Anyways, I think that's it. If I missed anything I'll tell you all in the next chapter.
