Yagi wasn't sure what to think about the mute kid with a dragon on his shoulder. The kid ripped a small heart? Organ? Something out of the slime guy right before he turned back into a raging naked man. So he had talent.

At this point, Yagi was desperate for a new One For All holder. So when a smart kid that can protect himself shows up- Yagi starts digging for reasons the kid shouldn't be his successor.

First reason… Yagi cannot find one. The kid is a genius to start with. He made that dragon from scratch, with materials he bought with his own money that he made from selling his inventions.

His quirk would be incredibly useful if the kid had more than one of those things. And maybe… bigger ones.

But the way the dragon (Majesty- Izuku corrects when asked about her) seamlessly raises her wings to fly, or takes a hint from her creator's social cues on what he wants her to do ("I'm working on a touch sensor to put on her head." The kid had written on a whiteboard. "So that I can teach her morse code, and it will be easier for us to communicate.") Makes Yagi think that the kid- No, Young Midoriya- spent loads of time dedicatedly working on making her perfect. Another good trait for his successor to have.

Yagi almost felt ready to burst with happiness when the boy said he wanted to become a hero. His reason put a damper on that happiness though. ("I've been through some horrible things. I have gotten away from them, but the consequences were my sight, my home, my mother, and my childhood innocence. I don't want anybody to feel as alone and helpless as I once did" the kid had written when they asked how he'd known how to take down the villain. Yagi couldn't help but feel guilty that he couldn't help this young boy sooner.)

Still, the kid had been trained to fight, or had trained himself, and had a good valid reason for wanting to protect people.

And then he grabbed a jar of hearts from his bag and Yagi freaked out.

This had all been going well so far! Sure Yagi had somewhat selfish reasons for wanting to know more about Young Midoriya, but he genuinely thought the kid would be a great successor.

And Yagi had to go and ruin it with his whole deflation thing.

After Tsukauchi calmed Yagi down, Yagie made sure to drill in the importance of keeping his weakened form a secret.

Young Midoriya was not paying attention.

So Yagi did something dumb.

Really

Dumb

"My quirk is called One For All and can be passed down and this entire time I have been thinking about giving it to you, Young Midoriya, and frankly I haven't found a reason not to." Tsukauchi looked up at him in shock, and so did Midoriya heck Yagi made a mistake.

"YAGI!" Tsukauchi yells, staring at him in shock at the blatant lack of care about his secret, or maybe it was because he was considering giving a random kid the most overpowered quirk ever.

Midoriya makes a strangled noise in the back of his throat.

. . .

Okay so to be fair, Izuku had way too much free time, and getting All Might's quirk was a surefire way to fill it up. But apparently, Izuku was too weak, and to safely get OFA, ("Currently you have the right spirit and mind to become the next number one hero, but your physical body has yet to be molded into a perfect vessel. Why, if I gave you One For All right now, all your limbs would blow off!" All Might had said, laughing at the end of his sentence.

"All my limbs will do what now," Izuku said blankly in one of his rare moments of speech he didn't seem to notice he had. "Anyways-" he changed the subject, Izuku had thought bitterly.)IZU had to fill up his muscles.

The physical training All Might had him doing was cleaning up Dagobah Beach, which honestly, Izuku had been thinking about doing for a while.

But in his head, Izuku had been using his quirk. Instead of that, All Might banned Izuku from using Majesty or his quirk to help him.

In Izuku's leftover spare time (Read from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am every night) he spends his time working on a long-time running project in his workshop- a nanobot weapon. Izuku currently has nearly a million little nanobots created from the strongest metal he could find- but he's so tired he can't remember what it was.

The nanobots are connected to his brainwaves (let it be said that Izuku hated the processes of figuring out how to do that, even if it was freakin cool) or maybe it was his brain cells… either way they were connected to Izuku's brain, and if he knew the structure of an object- though Izuku was planning on using this just as a weapon- the nanobots would form it. In its default form, it just looked like a thick metal stick. In reality, it was layer upon layer of small robots that were packed so tightly together you couldn't see the difference between a metal rob and what Izuku carried around in his backpack every day.

Also, to get Majesty more used to him and his commands, Izuku stopped turning her off every day.

Although that proved to be an almost fruitless task, as she tended to wreck his workshop when he wasn't there to supervise her. Izuku ended up needing to take her to school with him, but he only did that once he'd finished the touch sensors on the top of her head, which made it so he could talk to her, at least in morse code.

Izuku also made a small earpiece that was almost unnoticeable, especially when he made it the same green color as his hair. Currently, the earpiece wasn't made to communicate with other people, so it just wrapped around the back of his ear and had a small pulse pad that rested gently on his tragus.

It wasn't the most convenient, having to receive Majestys messages from a pad on his ear, but it was the easiest way to guide her around the school without having to interact with her.

But back to Izuku's training with All Might, the pro hero not only had him cleaning the beach but while Izuku lugged heavy grange to dumpsters and pick up trucks, All Might would have him work on talking.

It had taken a while before Izuku could hold an entire conversation with All Might without reverting to sign language or just simply shutting down and ignoring him. And because Izuku hadn't spoken to anyone in years, when he did speak he stuttered quite a bit, not yet used to using his vocal cords, and his throat always hurt at the end of the day. But one good thing Izuku got out of his voice was-

"Go-good Mm-morning Kachan," Izuku said softly when he saw Bakugo waiting for him at the school gate. Bakugo snapped his head up from his phone with wide hopeful eyes.

"Zuku?" he whispered in disbelief. Izuku let a rare smile cross his face, as he nodded at his longtime friends.

Bakugo launched at Izuku, wrapping his arms tightly around the smaller teen, sobbing quietly into his shoulder.

"I-I haven't heard your voice in 7 years, Zuku. Seven!" Bakugo says, shoulders shaking as he moves to rest his head on top of his baby brothers.

"I'm-I'm sorry I've been gone for so long Kachan," Izuku whispers into his brother's chest.

Both of them skipped school that day.

. . .

Izuku walked slowly to Dagobah beach, one of his American playlists singing softly in his ear and Majesty sleeping soundly in his messenger bag that he'd carelessly slung over his shoulder, and was lined with soft blankets to make it more comfortable for her.

Izuku had his hands shoved in the pockets of his black ripped jeans, where he fiddled with the metal nut he had grabbed on the way out his workshop. He ran out of his ADHD meds a few days ago, and he wouldn't have another bottle for another week, so until then he wouldn't be able to just stay copped up in his workshop at night.

Izuku was no stranger to sleep deprivation- his insomnia made sure of that- but normally when he had his ADHD pills he could just spend the entire night upgrading Majesty or experimenting with his genetics and the nanobots. But with his ADHD at a high, he couldn't sit still and his hands wouldn't stop shaking for long enough for him to doing any fragile work with the nanobots like he wanted to, so Izuku decided he might as well do some more beach cleaning.

Izuku had his jacket tied around his waist, and his loose-fitting black tank top ruffled in the breeze and made goosebumps rise on his arms.

Thump Thump Thump

Izuku stalled his walking for a second when his quirk picked up an unknown heartbeat. Someone is following me. Izuku realized. He reached up and tied his long hair into a bun on the top of his head, trying to illusion whoever was following him that Izuku hadn't noticed they were there.

Izuku kept walking.

If I ignore them, Izuku rationalizes, they might leave me alone.

Izuku tried to focus on the nut in his hand and not the strange heartbeat, but he was bored, and it was at least another 15 minutes until he would get to the beach, and Izuku decided he might as well get in some talking practice.

"Did yo-you need some-something Mr.Stalker?" Izuku wondered aloud, and from the way the heartbeat fluttered, the person following him noticed.

Izuku heard a small thump behind him- the mystery person had been on a roof and what the hell- and the soft footprints to showcase that mystery person was now following Izuku on foot.

"How could you tell I was following you kid?" A gruff voice came from behind Izuku.

Izuku took a curious look behind him to see a hobo looking man with a big ass scarf following him. Izuku looked forward again but made sure his next few steps jostled his bag enough to wake up Majesty.

Izuku paused his music and took his headphones off and let them rest around his neck. He hummed, and then answered honestly.

"Yy-your heartbeat."

"You can hear my heartbeat?" the hobo inquired curiously.

"Why ar-are you following me Mr.Hobo?" Izuku asked instead of answering. Mr.Hobo gives an amused huff.

"Well, when I see a kid walking around all alone in the middle of the night, I tend to get a bit curious." Izuku hums and opens his bag to pick up Majesty, who looked up and trilled curiously at him. Izuku smiles at her and lets her crawl up his arm and sit on his shoulder.

At that point, Mr.Hobo had caught up and Izuku watched with a wry smirk as Mr.Hobo's eyes widen at the sight of Majesty. Yeah, that's right. I got a dragon. Try anything funny and see what happens.

"This is Majesty," Izuku says, watching in amusement as Mr.Hobo wearily eyes her.

"So what's your name, Mr.Hobo?" Izuku questions, blanking his expression and looking back ahead, and deciding that he has no reason to stray from his path to Dagobah.

"Shouta Aizawa, Underground Pro Hero EraserHero and teacher at UA." Izuku snaps his head to face the newly dubbed Mr.Aizawa, looking for any sign that he might be lying to Izuku. His heartbeat hadn't picked up at all, and he was looking at Izuku smugly.

"So know that you know I'm not going to kill you, mind telling me your name and what your doing at 12:37 in the morning?" Izuku considers his options and sighs slightly, rubbing underneath Majesty's chin, her mechanical purr calming him down a bit.

Izuku decides to tell the truth.

"My name is Midoriya Izuku and I ran out of my ADHD pills which made it incredibly hard to just sit in my workshop and tinker all night long like I usually do. So I came out here to make some more progress on an outdoor project." Izuku answered shrugging, which was a feat in itself with Majesty sitting on his shoulder.

"Do your parents know you're not home?" Izuku hummed in contemplation then shrugged again, Majesty trilling in alarm at being jostled and almost falling.

"Don't know if I've got a home. I know I don't have parents though. Dads a villain and killed my mom so…" Izuku just tilts his head in Mr.Aizawas direction, watching as he frowns.

"So you live in an orphanage then? Does the person who runs it know your out here." Izuku throws his head back and laughs.

"I don't think that woman even realizes that I'm registered as living in her orphanage," he says, shoulder shaking in mirth. Mr.Aizawas frown deepens.

"Then where do you live kid?" he asks, concern evident in his features.

"Well, I kind of live in my workshop, I've got a bed in the lab and I keep my clothes at my big brother's house and I tend to shower there too. But I go back to the orphanage on occasion when I need to wash my clothes or I need to air out the lab." now Aizawa just looks confused.

"Wait- so you have a brother- an older brother- and you don't live with him? I'm confused, kid." Izuku sees Dagobah getting closer and smiles carelessly at Mr.Aizawa.

"Well, I guess to get the answer to your questions your gonna have to figure it out yourself Mr.Pro Hero sir." Izuku jostles his shoulder as a signal to Majesty to fly, and fly she does. Izuku starts walking backward to face Mr.Aizawa- who was staring at Majesty- and smirked at him.

"Have a good night sir." And promptly jumps over the beach wall and lands in the sand, Majesty diving after him.

. . .

Shouta was bored and cold. All he wanted to do was snuggle up with Hizashi and Eva- their one-eyed cat that Shouta rescued from the highway during one of his patrols. But noo. He had to do extra patrol time since he expelled his entire class this year and "had nothing better to do" according to Nedzu and the commission.

Shouta was sitting grumpily on a light post, thinking of a present to get Tensi for his birthday in a few days when footsteps below him caught his attention.

Who could be out this late at night? He wondered, looking down to see unruly green hair walk under the lamppost Aizawa was on.

Is that a kid? It's not safe for a kid to be at this late at night.

The longer Shouta followed the kid the more he noticed how nonchalant he was, which made Shouta think he was just a rebellious teen that snuck out of the house, but Aizawa also saw how he constantly rolled his shoulders or looked at particularly bright house ornament a bit too long, or picked at the scar by his cheekbone. Almost like at random moments the kid got lost in his own soul, forgetting about the outside world.

Lost in his thoughts, Shouta misses the jump onto the fire escape he was aiming for and gets much closer to the kid than he intended to. The kid shouldn't have heard anything- he was wearing big headphones- but he stopped walking anyways.

Then the kid reaches up to tie his hair up in a bun and Shouta thinks he's safe.

Until-

"Did yo-you need some-something Mr.Stalker?"

. . .

Shouta had a lot to think about on the trip back home. The kid- Midoriya- was a bit of a mystery. He was registered as living in an orphanage, but whoever ran it- a woman- was either neglectful or oblivious. He had an older brother, and he didn't live with this brother but he showered and kept his clothing at the brother's house.

Shouta huffed in amusement when he thought about the kid's exit. Midoriya definitely had a flair for the dramatics. If the fact that the kid had a dragon didn't show that then Shouta didn't know what would.

He had also started off stuttering. Midoriya had stuttered his way through the first few sentences of their conversation, but after he introduced Shouta to Majesty he just kind of… stopped.

Shouta walked into his apartment distracted and didn't notice Eva walking up to him until he had tripped over her and landed face-first on the floor

"Sho!? Was that you? Are you okay?" Hizashi yelled from the living room.

Shouta groaned into the floor and rolled over just in time to see Hizashi walk into the room and start laughing at him.

"I thought you were supposed to love me," Shouta grumbled as he stood up and brushed himself off.

"Awww Sho! I do love you! I love you so much my Grumpy Hobo Husband." HIzashi yelled, grabbing Shouta around his waist and spinning them around the kitchen.

It was at moments like these Shouta lamented the fact that Hzashi was so much taller than him.

"No- Zashi- put me down- Zashi- Zashi I'm sorry I know you love." Shouta struggled to get his overactive husband to calm down and suddenly-

Idea.

"Zashi you wanted a kid didn't you?"

Hizashi stopped spinning and stared at Shouta in shock.

"Um- I uh- yeah," Hizashi stuttered, "But you said you weren't ready to have one so- so I dropped it. Why did you- did you rethink it or- um-"

"Zashi. I meet a kid on my patrol today. His name is Izuku Midoriya. He was probably about 14 and hes an orphan," Shouta said simply "But whatever orphanage he lives at doesn't seem to notice that he lives there, and he said he had an older brother but that he doesn't live with him." Shouta continues, walking to the computer they have set up in the guest room and searching up 'Izuku Midoriya' on google.

"What was he like?" Hizashi asked softly, obviously still in shock. Shouta scrolled through some news reports with headlines like "Young boy found after 5 years missing"

Or "Izuku Midoriya- 10 facts you didn't know about the mysterious disappearance"

"He was sassy- called me Mr.Hobo until I told him my name. He has messy green hair and green eyes- though I think he's blind in his right eye, based on the color difference and the big scar cutting through it. He said he had ADHD, and he probably has insomnia as well or some kind of sleep problem.

"But he's smart. He had a mechanical dragon on his shoulder, Zashi. And he was listening to American music, from the sound of it."

"A dragon!" Hizashi whispers in disbelief.

"Yeah, and- oh wait I've found his file." Shouta had switched to police databases by this point, and opened a fie made updated 2 years ago titled Midoriya Izuku.

Name: Midoriya Izuku

Parents: Midoriya Inko - Deceased

Midoriya Hisashi - Villain Dragon Breath- currently in Tartarus

Quirk: Sensory Connection

Incident Report: Midoriya was reported missing from a house fire that was called in by a Mistuku Bakugo, and he was missing for 5 years until a retired Pro hero by the name of Gran Torino found him wandering around in Tokoyo and recognized him as a missing kid. He was followed back to a home base of sorts, where the villain Dragon Breath and his minions resided. After about a week of observation Best Jeanist, Hawks, and Endeavor along with a squadron brought him down and rescued Midoriya. When interrogating Dragons Breaths minions they confirmed that Midorya had been abused by his father and was trained to kill people, yet he never actually harmed anyone. Mitsuki Bakugo offered to adopt him, but when their household was observed, she was deemed an unfit caretaker for someone with as much trauma as Midoriya and he was given to Musutafu Orphanage. When we interviewed Midoriya about the extent of his father's abuse all that he told us was that his father trained him with any and every weapon he could find and that Midoriya regularly was given to random people so they could "have there way with him" as a way for his father to make money.

Medical File: Midoriya suffers from ADHD, Insomnia, and a mild case of blood cell depletion, for all of which he regularly takes prescribed medicine. Midorya has confirmed that he cannot see out of his right eye and that the damage came from the fire when he was a child. We had to do multiple rape tests on him for the first few days, but miraculously he was clean.

By the time Shouta and Hizashi had finished reading Midoriya's file, they were both shaking in barely controlled rage.

"Sho…" Hizashi said slowly, almost like he was warning Shouta of something.

"I know Zashi, trust me I know," Shouta said, turning off the computer and turning around in the chair to stand up and planted himself straight in Hizashi's chest, grabbing fistfuls of his shirt like a child. Hizashi wrapped his arms around Shouta and pulled him impossibly closer.

"Sho, we gotta help that kid," Hizashi whispered, voice thick with tears.

"Yeah," Shouta whispers in response. "I know."
