Kyo held Tohru's hand as they walked home together. His brain could barely process everything that had happened that day. Tohru was out of the hospital and she was going to be okay. He was able to fix things with her. He kissed her today and held her...the most jarring thing of all...he held her...and didn't transform. The curse was broken. He was finally free. For the first time, he actually had a life ahead of him. He glanced down at the small girl beside him and smiled. He looked forward to spending the rest of his days by her side. And he could hold her anytime he wanted now.

Kyo got the urge to hold her right then. And he was going to act on it, damn it! He yanked on her hand to pull her to him. Tohru's eyes grew wide at the sudden motion. She lost her footing and fell hard into Kyo. Her nose hitting him hard right in the chest.

"Gah! Tohru, I…"

"I'm so sorry!" Tohru interrupted and looked up at him with a dazed look in her eyes. Kyo felt a pang in his chest when he saw a red drop fall from her nose.

"Your nose!" He exclaimed.

Tohru gingerly reached up, touched her nostril, and jumped when she felt something wet. She looked at her finger and panicked when she saw red! She started to flail her arms.

"Eeeh! What do I do?! What do I do?!" She squeaked. Her voice got higher with panic.

Kyo pinched her nose. "Come on" he said as he led her to the house.

Tohru sat on her bed holding a cloth to her nose. Kyo was on the floor beside her, lazily leaning against the bed with his head propped on his arm.

"I'm sorry. I can be a little clumsy sometimes." She tried to explain herself while examining the cloth to see that the bleeding had stopped.

"No." Kyo told her almost sternly. "Don't put yourself down. That one was on me. I…" He reached for her with his free hand, gently running his fingers down her arm until he could grab her hand. "I just wanted to hold you again. I want to protect you and not let you get hurt ever again." Tohru looked down at him with her eyes wide. She didn't know what to say. All she knew was that her heart felt so full.

Kyo moved closer to Tohru. He hid his head in her lap as he wrapped his arms around her. "I'm gonna have to step up." He said, "First day of being your boyfriend and I've already hurt you."

Tohru's heart leaped at the word. Kyo is her boyfriend now! She looked down at his beautiful ginger hair. She reached to touch it, hesitating for just a moment before running her fingers through his silky locks. "Mmmmm" He purred at her touch. She could feel the vibration of his voice against her thigh. Suddenly she felt very warm. She didn't realize how intimate of a position they were in!

"Hey! Why'd you stop?" Kyo complained.

"I….I'm just...just…" Tohru stammered, not able to get the words out.

Kyo knew by the stammering that Tohru was about to cry. She cried easily when things started to get deep. He sat up from his comfy lap pillow and looked to see the tears starting to form. He moved to the bed next to her and wiped them away.

"Hey." He said softly, his hand still holding her face. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm just so happy!" She got out.

Inside, Kyo was feeling more joy than he ever thought he would feel. But outside he remained calm as he stared at her adoringly. "I'm happy too." He whispered before he lowered his mouth to hers. Her lips felt so soft against his own. He could kiss her all day. He pulled back and looked at her. She looked back at him silently but he could see the joy in her eyes.

He kissed her again. This time he felt her reach her hand around the back of his neck. It shocked him for a moment as it was the most she's ever reciprocated. It also excited him to get confirmation that she was enjoying it as well. He moved his lips against hers to feel the smoothness. He couldn't get enough of it. He gently stroked his tongue against her bottom lip and she joined in with tongue as well. They awkwardly danced their tongues around each other trying to find the rhythm. Exploring each other for the first time.

As the kissing grew deeper, Kyo felt the urge to pull Tohru closer to him. Sitting side by side wasn't the most comfortable position. He broke away. Tohru's eyes were still closed and her face tilted upwards towards him, ready for more. He pulled her onto his lap to make things easier.

Her eyes jolted open with surprise and her face flushed bright red. Kyo realized what he did. When did he get so comfortable with her? He blushed and looked away. "I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me."

"It's okay" Tohru said, her face going from tomato red to just a slight flush on her cheeks. "I just have to get used to you being so affectionate."

"Heh" Kyo rubbed the back of his neck while still looking away. "It's new for me too. I realized when you got hurt that I never want to lose you. I guess that broke whatever walls I had up. Now all I want is to be close to you."

Kyo felt arms wrap around his neck and suddenly Tohru was pressed against him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and let himself fall back onto the bed. Tohru said into his ear, "I want to be close to you, too." It gave him goosebumps down his neck. He nuzzled his face next to hers and brushed her hair behind her ears. She rose herself up slightly to look down at him. He pulled her in for another kiss. This time they were perfectly in sync with each other.

Kyo heard the front door open and Shigure's voice, "Tohru? Kyo?"

Kyo snapped up. Tohru jumped off of him in a total panic. "Umm..we'll be right there!" She called back. Before jumping up and smoothing out her bed. Kyo grabbed her arm and pulled her to the door.

"Come on, you dork, no need to panic." He opens the bedroom door to see Shigure standing there.

Shigure raised his eyebrows and smirked. 'Oooh! What an interesting development! I see you two have made up."

"Oh! Shigure! You see, I accidentally bumped my nose. And Kyo, he…." Tohru uttered before Shigure waved his hand to shush her.

"Now now, Tohru, no need to explain. I know I proposed that you could stay here and marry me after you graduate but I'm afraid that ship has sailed. You see, I have my eye on someone else now. So no need for you to worry that my feelings will be hurt." Shigure just loved to say inappropriate things to piss Kyo off and make Tohru uncomfortable.

Kyo clenched his fist while still gripping Tohru's arm with his other hand. "Shut up you pervert!" He yelled at Shigure and pulled Tohru away from him.

"Pervert? Me? But what were you doing with innocent Miss Tohru? Her hair is all disheveled and lips are awfully flushed." Tohru's whole face turned red again as she covered her lips.

"I said SHUT UP!" Kyo yelled as he drug Tohru down the stairs towards the exit.

"You know as the adult in this house, I cannot condone shameful acts while you're still in school!" Shigure yelled before hearing the door slammed. He chuckled to himself. "Well, it's about time."
