Tohru was in the kitchen preparing dinner. It had been a week since Kyo officially became her boyfriend and she couldn't be happier. Best of all, Kyo was free of the Zodiac curse! All of the Somas were free. She couldn't want anything more! It was her mission to free them ever since she learned the severity of the curse.

Tohru reached for the salt, to find it was empty. She was sure she had a refill in the cabinet. She stretched to reach the top shelf and suddenly felt his warmth beside her. Kyo affectionately put his hand on the small of her back and grabbed the salt. He was standing close enough that her shoulder touched his chest. Tohru wasn't sure if the close proximity would have caused him to transform just a week prior, when he was still cursed.

"Thank you, Kyo" Tohru said, feeling exceptionally grateful. She turned and wrapped her arms around him. Savoring a hug that used to be impossible for them to share. Kyo reached for her chin, tilting it up to face him, and brushed his lips against hers.

"Your welcome." He said while giving her that look like she was the only thing in the world that mattered.

Tohru heard someone clear their throat. She looked to see Shigure and Yuki sitting at the kotatsu. Watching.

"Gah!" She screeched, jumping back from Kyo's embrace.

"Just wondering if dinner was almost ready." Shigure asked. "Don't mind us."

"Yes!" Tohru exclaimed, her face turning red. "Just a little longer." She turned around and scrambled to quickly finish dinner.

Kyo growled and gave the other two men a look of pure anger. He started to stalk to his room but remembered his lovely girlfriend was cooking dinner. Not wanting to seem unappreciative to her, he circled around and plopped down on the ground. His back to everyone else.

After dinner, Kyo offered to help Tohru clean up.

"Hey" he said while drying the dishes.

"Yes?" Tohru answered.

"Let's take a walk together after this. I need to get away from Shigure and the damn rat.."

Tohru smiled. "That's a great idea! I'd love that."

They set out in the cool summer evening not long afterwards. Enjoying time as a couple as they strolled hand in hand. Tohru started talking about school and the exams she'll need to make up soon.

"The exams weren't too bad. I can tell you everything that was on them so you know exactly what to study." Kyo assured her. "Let's not worry about that now" He told her. They were far enough from the house now that they didn't have to worry about the others watching them. Kyo stopped walking and Tohru turned in surprise. He pulled her in for a kiss. This one a little deeper than the brush of lips they shared in the kitchen. Kissing her was like….he couldn't describe it. But he wanted to keep doing it every chance he got.

Kyo felt Tohru wrap her arms around his neck and pull herself up to reach better. He hoisted her up to give her better access. The idea seemed graceful in his head, however, Tohru shifted her weight and flailed her legs causing him to lose balance. He twirled around a few times trying to regain control but ultimately ended up on the ground with Tohru straddling him.

He looked at her, eyes wide with worry but she just started giggling! He laid his head back on the ground and let out a roar of laughter as well. They lost themselves laughing until tears formed in their eyes. Finally Kyo sighed and sat up a bit, with Tohru still straddling his lap. He put his hand on the back of her head, his fingers sliding through her hair, and pulled her lips to his. Unable to keep himself from smiling while kissing her.

Tohru put her palms against his chest and Kyo let his hand fall from her head. Trailing it down the back of her neck to her shoulder and then gently gripping her upper arm. She sighed against his mouth and he layed back, freeing his other hand so he could gently stroke both of her arms. Over the past week they've gotten more and more comfortable making out. Learning as they go.

Kyo felt himself growing hard. Which normally happened during their make-out sessions...but this time Tohru was sitting right on it...Even though they both were fully clothed, his erection was pressing right between her legs. Which both excited and terrified him at the same time. There was no doubt she could feel it.

He opened his eyes in a panic and quickly lifted Tohru off of him. He turned away from her and shoved both hands on his crotch trying to hide his excitement.

"Kyo? Is everything okay?" Tohru asked, very confused.

"Yeah.." Kyo said, his face burning red and his back still too her. "Just give me a minute."

"Kyo?" Tohru touched his shoulder. "Are you feeling sick?"

"No..uh...it's just a guy thing…"

"Oh" Tohru's face turned red. "It's okay...I didn't mind."

"I'm such a damn hypocrite! I'll fight any guy that looks at you in that way and here I am actually acting on it." Kyo let his head sink.

"But…" Tohru started, "I'm your girlfriend. Aren't you supposed to look at me that way?" Kyo turned to face her now.

"My mom told me one day I would find someone that I loved." Tohru continued. "And when you love someone you act on it...and...I love you, Kyo."

"I love you, too, Tohru" Kyo said. His heart thundered as he looked into her eyes. This time, Tohru leaned in and brushed her lips against his. The way she made him feel was unreal. He never felt so loved and so wanted before. He was embarrassed to admit to himself that he actually felt butterflies in his stomach. Everything was just too good to be true.

Kyo stood up and reached his hand to Tohru. "Come on" he said. "Let's go home." When he pulled her up he brought her in a tight embrace. Letting their bodies mold together. He lowered his head down into her hair and took in her sweet scent. "I love you so much." He said softly.
