Time Warp

Just before Harry is told he is a wizard, a mysterious person comes and sends him back in time to the era of the marauders- to where his mother lives.

Suddenly, Harry is faced with a past he never knew- his mother, his aunt, his uncle, his father, his godfather, and all those in-between. What happens now?

EXERPT:

"Hello?" Harry yelled frantically. "Aunt Petunia? Uncle Vernon? Dudley? Mr. whats-your-name?"

No answer. Harry spotted a woods close by and began to run to it, thinking that if anything, he wanted to be out of the sight of the worried faces staring at him. Upon reaching the woods, he hid behind a tree and carefully peered beyond it to see if anyone had taken a special notice of him.

He breathed a sigh of relief- no one had. His relief was short-lived, however- he was startled by the sound of voices deeper within the woods.

"Who is that, Sev? Have you ever seen him before?"

"No, have you?"

"Nope. He looked mighty scared when he ran in here, though."

"I'm suspicious."

"You're always suspicious, you git. Come on, let's go talk to him."

"But I don't want to!"

"But Sev, he looks so scared!"

"Oh, fine, just don't treat him like such a lost puppy."

Harry was now facing the invisible voices, terrified. "Wh-who's there?"

A girl stepped out from behind one of the trees. She had red hair and bright green eyes- eyes that mirrored Harry's. Harry tried to back farther into the tree, but didn't succeed- he was already backed up as far as he could go. Behind her appeared a boy wearing clothes as horrifying as Harry's baggy hand-me-downs.

"Hi," said the girl cheerfully. "I'm Lily, Lily Evans. This is Severus Snape. What's your name?"

"H-Harry Potter," Harry said, gulping. Lily smiled encouragingly at him; the boy behind her merely glared jealously. Feeling slightly more confident, Harry held out a hand. "Nice to meet you," he said. Lily shook his hand; Severus hesitated a moment before doing the same.

"Do you want to come sit with us, Harry?" Lily asked him cheerfully. Harry nodded, and the three went to sit in a small clearing.

"We were just talking about-"

"You can't just tell random muggles about magic, Lily!"

"Magic?" Harry asked suddenly. "You guys know about magic?"

"Yeah, Sev's a wizard and I'm a witch," Lily said before Sev could stop her.

Harry sighed in relief. "Do you think you could get me back home? This guy showed up at my house yesterday while the Dursleys were out, and he said I was a Wizard and that he was going to send me back in time so I could "find things I wouldn't know otherwise" or something. When I woke up this morning, I was in the middle of the park, but they tore it down three years ago- but it looks brand new!"

Lily and Sev stared at him blankly. "Dursleys?" Lily said, confused.

"Park?" asked Sev, equally confused.

"I only know one Dursley," Lily said solemnly, "and he's pretty horrible, I'll tell you that. Big bully, him, and the only person he doesn't torture is my sister Petunia."

"Pe… Petunia?" Harry asked weakly. Lily nodded.

"Oh yeah, Vernon's got it for her bad. But she doesn't like him much at all!"

"R-really now?"

"Mhm. So what Dursleys are you staying with?"

"Erm… My Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon," Harry said truthfully. "I think I really am back in time," he added. "I can't see Aunt Petunia not liking Uncle Vernon much at all."

"Oh, you must be related to me," Lily said happily. "Look, Severus, I must be an Aunt in the future like my sister!"

Sev narrowed his eyes. "Tell us more," he said.

"Well, the Dursleys aren't the greatest people to be brought up by, you know. I have a cousin that's their son- Dudley- he's as fat as a pig. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon give him everything he wants; they spoil him silly."

"What about you?"

Harry frowned and began playing with a blade of grass. "I'm not really wanted," he said quietly. "Aunt Petunia hated my mum, and she's telling me how good-for-nothing I am. Uncle Vernon's much the same… And as for Dudley, well, I'm his favorite punching bag," he said bitterly.

"My house isn't that great either," Sev admitted. "My Mum and Dad fight a lot, and he hits her sometimes… Hits me, even…"

Harry nodded understandingly. "I know what that's like. The hitting, I mean."

Lily was watching them both teary-eyed. "Oh, you two…"

"But, if your Mum was Petunia's sister," Sev calculated carefully, and they both looked at Lily. "Bloody hell," Sev said, amazed. "You must be his Mum!"

"But I'm not anyone's mum!"

"Not now, you aren't. But what about fifteen years from now, huh?"

"I hope you're not my Mum," Harry said quietly, looking depressed. "Both my parents died in a car crash when I was one," he explained when they both gave him funny looks.

Lily frowned. "I die?"

"No," said Sev firmly, "you don't."

"Well!" huffed Lily, bringing her hands to her hips. "If I am Harry's Mum, I'll just have to make sure in the future that I don't let him be left to Tuney after I die, right Sev?"

"You. Will. Not. Die."

"He's right," Harry agreed. "You can't be my Mum. I don't want you to die either."

"He has my eyes exactly, Sev," Lily argued.

"Maybe your parents have another kid."

"Then I'll have to tell her not to leave Harry to Tuney."

"Good."

"Now that I think of it, I think Aunt Petunia has two sisters- one alive and in Romania, one- my mum- dead in a car crash," Harry lied, feeling sick at what he knew for sure- that Lily was his mother.

"I live in Romania?" Lily asked, startled yet again.

"Yes- and, um, I think you married him," Harry said, pointing to Sev, who blushed deep red. "His name sounds extremely familiar."

"I- we did not!"

Lily frowned. "Is that such a bad thing? It's years from now anyway, Sev."

Still blushing, Sev looked at Lily, then looked abruptly away, and Harry wondered if he'd made a mistake in trying to make himself so convincing. Lily smiled at him.

"Well, if I do marry Sev, I hope the wedding's big," she said dreamily.

"Are you kidding?" scoffed Sev. "Who would we invite so it could be that big?"

"Well, we could invite Harry."

"Harry's your nephew, you nut. Of course we'd invite Harry."

"We could also invite all of our Hogwarts class…"

"Yeah, that might not be so bad…"

"Tuney might want to come with Vernon, if she married him…"

"Petunia will send you an ugly vase as an apology for not attending."

"Harry's parents will be invited, of course."

"Why wouldn't we?"

"My parents, my grandparents, your parents… Do you have grandparents?"

"No, and I don't want my parents there either- unless you want our wedding to be a bloodbath."

"One of your parents?"

"One of them? I can't just invite only one of them- they're not divorced."

"We could mysteriously injur the other one," Lily assured him. "Then only one would be able to come."

"That's a good idea, except we'd get into trouble with the Ministry; there's laws against that."

"There are? Man, there are laws against everything…"

"No kidding. "

"Erm… Hello?" Harry called to them, waving his hands. "If you're finished planning your wedding, can you please help me get back home?"

"Oh!" Lily exclaimed. "Right. Well, how did you get here?"

"Some old bloke named Phineas came and said I needed to change the past or something, and then he waved a stick and said a few words and here I am."

Lily frowned. "Huh. Oh well, that's rather strange! Sev, do you know anyone named Phineas?"

"Er… Mum went to visit a couple down the street who had a baby they named Phineas?"

Lily just shook her head. "Too young. How about we owl Professor Dumbledore?"

"What are we going to do with Harry while we wait for a reply?"

"Um… Ok, I get it. But what else are we supposed to do?"

"We could floo him to Hogwarts! The Professor'll know what to do!"

"Great idea, sev! Got any floo powder?"

"Yup, at my house."

"Great! Come on!"

They all practically ran out of the woods, then. But as they were running, a strange tingling feeling came over Harry, and suddenly he was gone- gone, back to his usual time, in his bed in his room.
