017. Pretty Girl
Ty Lee came across a beautiful girl sleeping in the courtyard. Beneath the moonlight, she shimmered like an ethereal being, like the ghost Ty Lee sometimes thought she was, or like the mythical Water Tribe siren drawing her in, deeper and deeper until the anchors held her under the waves for eternity.
Here in the Fire Nation, alone in crowded rooms.
She desperately wanted to lean in and kiss Azula on the lips. In fact, she started to gravitate towards it, started to move towards Azula's lips before stopping herself and just gently touching the side of her lost love's face.
"You shouldn't sleep out here," whispered Ty Lee thoughtlessly, not anticipating Azula to sit up and grab her by the throat, starlight revealing the sweat glistening on her, sealing her hair down onto her forehead. "I—I didn't mean to scare you!"
"Don't sneak up on people like that," hisses Azula.
"You just, uh, I worry about you. Sleeping outside when you're royal and stuff… Please sleep in your bed." With me.
Azula leaned in slowly. "I sleep where I want, when I want, with who I want."
The princess sat back down on the stone bench. Ty Lee stared at her for a moment.
"You're really pretty, y'know? In the moonlight. And in the sunlight too. You're just a really pretty girl."
Azula blushed. She turned away to try to hide it.
"I know," was all she said.
