A/N: What can I say? It's back to Potterland with this snippet from my GL!Harry Fic Idea. This is a continuation of Chapters 55, 68, 69 and 84. Yet another Injustice Epilogue- this time the two Harry's are meeting for the first and possibly only time. For those interested in what happened to Hermione or any others from the Wizarding World, I will endeavor to get those out as well. Just so you know, however, like Ron and Blue Lantern Harry, Hermione also survived to see the end of High Chancellor Superman's One Earth Regime.
Injustice Epilogue: Potter and Potter
"Just when I think things can't get any weirder," Harry said.
There was something surreal about meeting an alternate version of yourself. The others who'd met alternates of themselves, save Batman, each had to fight his, or her, other half: Diana, Victor, Hal, Kal... Each had faced a version of themselves that they didn't particularly like and even doppelgangers of long time friends and enemies.
Harry himself had barely managed to save the life of the alternate Lex Luthor by facing down the One Earth Kal. If that didn't throw him for a loop, nothing would. He also could barely fathom an alternate version of himself that hadn't defeated Voldemort. Even the Crime Syndicate version had defeated a rather heroic Tom Riddle Jr. But here, it was Kal El who had taken out Voldemort, entrapping him in a crystal container within the Fortress of Solitude. It was also unsettling to see his double with the alternate Harley Quinn, or rather, Blue Lantern Harleen Quinzel. If nothing else, the black and blue body suit was quite distracting, and she looked good with her blonde hair unbound and tousled with blue streaks.
"Tell me about it," Potter replied.
Across the room, Harry spotted Clark walking in with Bruce, them having just finished checking up on Kal and his specially made prison cell made of plasteel and red sun lamps. Kal was even forced to wear cuffs on his legs and wrists that were constantly hitting him with red UV rays. Even if he managed to escape from his cell and get to the outside, the cuffs would keep him weakened enough to be more easily taken down.
"Ya' know, I've had dreams that started out like this," Harleen commented much to both of their chagrin. Both gave her a rather strange look. "What? Oh, like you wouldn't want a threesome with me and one of my alternate doubles."
"Uh..." Potter looked to Harry for help, but the Green Lantern had nothing come to mind that would help his Blue counterpart in this situation. "It's not an unpleasant image, but let's get used to being you and me, before we become a you, you and me."
Harleen snorted in amusement. "You are such an easy tease."
Potter smirked and made a quick glance at Harry. "Play your cards right, and we'll see who was only teasing."
Harleen turned red at that suggestion.
"Kara would so kill me," Harry said putting his hands up in surrender.
Potter's expression lost all playfulness. "How is she?"
"Good, but restless. She loves the praise from the common folk, but the lack of advanced tech is getting to her," Harry replied and then hesitated. "Did she...?"
"Died with the rest of the Titans the day Joker destroyed Metropolis," Potter informed him.
"Another difference," Harry replied. "Our titans are based out of Jump City and Kara was only a provisional member. She's actually a liason between the Teen Titans, Young Justice and the Justice League."
"Sounds like a lot of paperwork," Potter commented.
"You have no idea," Harry replied.
"You too?" Potter asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Provisionally," Harry replied. "After Blackest Night and Brightest Day... I don't spend a lot of time on Earth or in an Earth Dimension anymore."
"Something I have to worry about?" Potter asked concerned.
"Who knows? Maybe." Harry replied. "Your timeline is approximately five years ahead of ours, yet a lot of things that have happened to us haven't happened to you guys yet and possibly never will. Given that your ring can change spectrums like mine, no matter your preferred choice of color, it's highly likely. Keep an eye on Voldemort."
"Always good advice," Potter commented. "He won't be leaving the Fortress anytime soon. With Kara and Connor dead and Kal in jail, the Fortress needs a new guardian- so the Blue Lantern Corps will be using it as a temporary base of operations for the time being."
"Connor?" Harry asked.
"Kon El, Superboy," Potter told him. "A clone made by Project CADMUS scientists... Only for whatever reasons they couldn't fully clone Kal's Krytonian DNA so they filled in the holes using Lex's DNA."
Harry blinked. "Lex's... Lex Luthor's DNA?" Harry shook his head. "I guess with Luthor being on the side of angels, they didn't have access to his extensive knowledge of Krytonian physiology. Our Project CADMUS cloned Kara, calling her Galatea. She's a perfect copy of Kara, only aged a bit. Since fighting Kara, she's turned over a new leaf and goes by Powergirl now."
"I've had fantasies that started out like that too," Harleen commented, but was ignored.
"And the differences keep adding up," Potter commented. "Our Powergirl, was a dimensional copy of Kara who grew up in Smallville and became her world's greatest hero. Only, by the time she stopped her Luthor once and for all, it was already too late to save her Earth. It was by complete accident that she ended up here on our Earth." Potter shook his head. "She also died in Metropolis."
"I'm sorry to hear that. If your Powergirl..."
"Karen," Potter supplied.
"If Karen was anything like 'Tea, I bet she was an amazing woman," Harry commented.
"The best," Potter replied with a bittersweet smile. A shadow crossed Harleen's face for a brief moment. Potter didn't notice, but Harry had.
"Take care of this one, eh," Harry told his double. "The chance for something special rarely comes once, let alone twice."
"Don't I know it," Potter responded as he put an arm around Harleen. "We're on our second and third chances here. And after how our other relationships ended... It's something we're gonna have to take slow. I can't speak for Miss Q here, but I'm still hurting a bit after Kara and I doubt she's had time to really properly mourn either Joker or Ivy. I definitely want our relationship to be about more than lost friends and mutual acquaintances."
"What he said," Harleen replied with a grateful smile as she winked at Harry as she allowed herself to relax into Potter's embrace.
"Take care of Kara," Potter told Harry. "If she's anything like my Kara was... She's something special."
"If she ever dumps ya, look up my double. She might not be Kryptonian, but if she's anything like me, she can still teach ya a trick or three," Harleen said with an incorrigible smirk.
"I'll... Keep that under advisement," Harry commented neutrally. He then turned his gaze to Potter. "If nothing else, you'll never be bored."
Potter looked at Harleen with a surprising amount of fondness considering the short amount of time they'd been involved. "No... I don't think so. And that's not a bad thing."
"What can I say? Witty, smart, beautiful, confident, clever, drop dead sexy... I'm simply irresistible," Harleen bragged.
"Queen of Humility, that one," Harry said to Potter. "Take care, Lantern Potter. Lantern Quinzel."
Potter smirked. "You too, Lantern Potter."
Harry walked over to where Clark was standing in front of the portal.
"Have an interesting chat?" he asked Harry as he looked at Blue Lantern Harry Potter wrapped around newly initiated Blue Lantern Harleen Quinzel as they stood next to the alternate Batman who was activating their portal home.
"It was enlightening," Harry commented.
Superman nodded. "Those kinds of meetings usually are, whether you end up fighting with or against yourself. Lord Superman, High Chancellor Superman, Ultraman... Although they each were our enemies, they've all taught me something about myself. Finding a double that you can learn from and get along with is a rarity, at least in our line of work. You're lucky."
"Considering what happened here that started all of this... I'd say we're both lucky," Harry replied. "Extremely lucky."
Superman looked thoughtful at that. "Yeah... I suppose we are."
"Let's go home, Supes. I have to remind your cousin how much she means to me," Harry commented.
"Harry..." Superman warned.
"If you're not going to be busy doing the same with Lois..."
"Kara's still my cousin, Harry."
Harry shrugged. "And, according to your girlfriend, I'm her English adopted little brother. Let's agree to pretend not to know what the other is doing."
"It's better that way," Superman agreed as they stepped through the vortex.
