Harry, Hermione and Ron were all hanging out in the Great Hall with some friends. Ron was still afraid of Lavender, he hadn't officially broken up with her yet and she was looking for him all the way while he was hiding. Hermione was quite satisfied of the situation, this girl had made her feel really awful the past week and she was clearly happy to see the feeling reversed although she felt bad for Ron who was always running away from the stupid blonde...
They were having a great time and already there she was ! Lavender came again, noticing her "Won Won" on the table. She, who in a creepy way had arrived here in a sec, began talking with Ron about how she was looking forward to seeing him for a long time and how some horrible circumstances kept him away from her...
"Some horrible circumstances ? Karma, I'd rather say !" Thought Hermione seeing him trapped with his exasperating ex-girlfriend.
Ron addressed her a begging look, seeming pitifully embarrassed. Hermione didn't thought about it more and came to home to grip his arm, a killing smile on her face.
"So, how is it going here sweetheart ?"
Lavender stopped talking looking confused. Hermione, seeing it was working, continued.
"Oh, I didn't tell you ? Ron and I got together a few days ago, we ar still in the honey moon phase, you know, giggling like idiots, whispering some stupid and cheesy poetry..."
She hesited an instant.
"...snogging."
Playing the game until the end, she jumped on her tiptoes to peck Ron's cheek which had a colour almost reaching the griffindor scarf he had around his neck and who didn't seem to understand a single hanging on between the two girls. The other guys were watching the scene, an knowing smile on the face.
As for the destabilised gal, from the confusion she became fuming...
"So, that's the reason you left me and you tried to avoid me all days ? To live your stupid love story with this messy-haired nerd ?"
"I bet so..." Answered weakly Ron after a moment while he tried to comprehend the situation.
"You bet so ? Well, you better stay away from me. Remember that when you'll understand that you were way better with me and you'll want to come back to me !" She said, walking loudly to the hallway.
The silence settled down on the table and the two friends looked at each other a little embarrassed. Hermione let out Ron's arm, realising she was still holding it, a sudden and deep blush running to her face.
"Hum... I better... I-I should be at... I'm going to my dorm, I think Ginny asked me about something..."
"Y-yes I guess so... See ya !" Said the red-faced boy smirking awkwardly.
Hermione hurry herself along the hall. When she reached the common room, she received a heavy glare from her two roommates, but still, she couldn't help smiling when she fell on her bed. It was just... She knew she shouldn't think of it but acting like that with Ron, beside being totally weird and all had felt... She didn't even know ! But her lips were still burning from when she kissed him and the thought of Ron and her giggling, whispering and... snogging still haunted her but in a comfortable way, like this instant between sleep and wakefulness when you just had a very pleasant dream... She let out a loud sight. Even if it wasn't real, it had felt awkwardly right...
