NO REST
Ty Lee brushed her hair behind her ear as she squinted in the morning sunlight. The palace had a lush display of breakfast options and she was drawn in by the scent of freshly chopped fruit. Mai sat at the table, half asleep, and Iroh was there skipping food in preference of tea.
"You look tired, Ty Lee," commented Iroh. "Did you have trouble sleeping?"
He was so kind. Ty Lee could not help but smile.
"Well, Azula and I just got married." Ty Lee blushed.
"Oh…?"
Ty Lee smiled coyly and batted her long, thick, curly eyelashes. "There's a reason they call the descendants of the royal family the blood of the dragon, fire made flesh..."
Mai couldn't help herself. She said dryly, yet with a slight hint of amusement in her low voice, "Yeah, I remember when I first got with Zuko. I learned the definition of dark circles."
"Those look fashionable on you, though," chirped Ty Lee, smiling brightly at her best friend.
"There are… some things I did not want to know about my niece and nephew."
Ty Lee set her hand on Iroh's arm. "With all due respect, sir, you asked."
Iroh chuckled. He supposed he did.
