A/N: I'm sorry for just disappearing, but my inspiration left. However, a beautiful Remadora fanart by @rielles96 on Instagram inspired me to write this oneshot. Enjoy!By the way, my English is really bad in this... I hope you don't mind.

It was a sunny day in mid July and Remus was once again incredibly proud to call the pink-haired woman by his side "Mrs Lupin". Their marriage had taken place exactly one week ago and he still felt his chest swell with pride whenever they intertwined their hands and fondly gazed at their silver rings.

To celebrate their one week anniversary, as Tonks had proudly said, they had agreed to spend the noon outside and have a picnic. Tonks had insisted on packing the basket and Remus couldn't help but wonder why she made such a secret of it...

He had not been allowed to step in the kitchen this morning nor to even carry the basket.

"You're not smuggling drugs, are you, darling?" Remus had asked her when they set off, eyebrows raised in confusion.

Tonks had only grinned and said, "Stop frowning! You'll like it."

"The drugs?" he joked. Tonks playfully smacked him on the arm in response.

At least Remus had been the one to chose the spot for their picnic. It was a beautiful meadow near Ascot. He had discovered this place on a mission back in spring of 1996 and was glad to finally get to take Tonks there.

"Ready?" he asked, smiling down at her.

Tonks raised her chin and nodded, a cute gesture she always did when she was keen. "Let's go!"

Their hands intertwined, Remus felt the cold silver of his wife's ring against his finger, and they apparated with a soft pop.

"Oooh, Remus - this is beautiful!" Tonks breathed.

Their gazes wandered slowly over the flower meadows in front of then. The grass was soft green, just like the last time Remus had seen it, and there were colourful flowers sprinkled all over it. Some even matched Tonks's pink hair.

"You like it?"

"Very much! C'mon, let's find a spot... Oh, what about over there..." she pointed at a spot underneath one of the few trees on the meadow. "Protection from the cruel summer sun, brilliant! Come one, Mr Lupin!"

She took him by the arm and dragged him alongside her, almost hopping in her run. Having reached the spot she'd chosen, she came to a sudden stop and turned, bumping into his chest. Tonks smiled up at him.

Once again, Remus marveled at how perfect Tonks was. He reached out and tucked a strand of chin-length hair behind her ear. "You're the most amazing person I've ever met," he whispered, stunned by the beauty and positive energy she radiated.

He didn't take it for granted. Remus still remembered vividly how dreadfully thin and depressed she'd looked during the last months. Her limp mousy hair, sunken cheeks and sad eyes would forever haunt him in his nightmares alongside with a silvery orb and wolf howls.

Oh, he was so glad to see her all bubbly and happy again.

Tonks's grin softened into a gentle, loving smile. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek. Her lips lingered there for a moment as she whispered, "if you're gonna start telling me you don't deserve me, I swear to God I'll hex you."

"I won't," he responded, "not this time."

"Good."

They lay down in the soft grass, hands tracing the other while gazing at the blue sky. It all seemed so perfect. Like there was no war raging out there. Just peace... and some birds shrieking in the trees.

"Dora?"

"Hmm?"

"When will you tell me what's in the basket?"

"Ooh, you're right - uhm, now - I totally forgot about that!"

Remus sat up and watched Tonks open the basket. She put it on her knees, reached inside and...

... pulled out a chocolate frog.

He chocked his eyebrows in suspicion.

She pulled out another one... and another one... and another one... Remus watched her, both a frown and a smile creeping on his face.

"Err... Dora, darling... what exactly did you take for your picnic?" he asked, realizing how stupid the question was. But he wanted to hear her say it.

Tonks grabbed two chocolate frogs and tossed them in the air, of course not managing to catch them. "A basket full of chocolate frogs!" she exclaimed, grinning.

Remus chuckled. "You gotta be kidding me... why?"

"Because we both love chocolate frogs," was her simple answer.

He snorted. "You're crackers, Dora. But you're argument is valid."

"So you'll allow it, professor?" she smirked.

He picked up a chocolate frog and turned it in his hand, eyeing it. Then, he looked at his smirking wife. "You bet!"

Remus didn't know a lot about dates. He had never been on one, not officially at least. But if he had to name his perfect idea of a date, then it was lying in grass and eating chocolate frogs with his amazing wife. They had spent about half an hour, eating chocolate frogs and looking at the cards inside the midnight blue boxes. Instead of flowers, empty chocolate frog wrappings decorated the grass.

"Another Dumbledore," Tonks announced, "that's number seven then... Fancy another chocolate frog, Remus?"

"No," he groaned, "give your werewolf a break, Dora... I'm pogged. Can't ever even see one of those chic frogs again."

"You serious?"

He snorted. "Probably not..."

Tonks gave a silent laugh and put aside the card of Albus Dumbledore. "Imagine Mad-Eye being on one of those cards... Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody, auror and mentor of famous Tonks, constantly vigilant. If he's ever going to make it on one of those cards, I'll tease him about that forever... just to hide my jealousy, of course."

Remus turned his head to look at her. "Would you like to be on one of those cards?"

"Hmmm..." she hummed, "yeah, why not... Dora Lupin, metamorphmagus and best auror of the century... Would you?"

Remus frowned. "Probably not. I mean, what would this card even say about me? Remus Lupin, werewolf and early-graying, soon to be bold man. Rather not..."

"Don't be daft. You have other qualities and you know it."

Remus couldn't help but smile. "My amazing wife for example."

"Charmer."

"It's true! If I were to be put on such a card, only alongside with you."

Tonks reached out for his hand and played with his marriage ring. A hint of a soft smile traced her lips. Her index trailed over a tiny scar on the back of his hand.

"Remus?" she spoke into the silence.

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

"I love you too," he replied, locking his fingers with hers, "very much so."
