DREAMS

Ty Lee often wondered if Azula still ever dreamed about her, after all of these years.

She lay awake in her bed on Kyoshi Island after her nightmares some nights, thinking about it.

Tonight was one of those nights.

The moonlight poured through her open window, the sill dusted with a light snow. It shone on the tears dripping from her bright eyes.

She wished she could be free of the nightmares. That was all she could think about as she removed herself from the sweaty sheets and strode over to the hearth to try to warm up. She shivered as she started the fire.

A scream froze in her throat as for a moment she thought it burned blue.

Just an aftereffect. Still half in the nightmare.

Ty Lee remembered when she had good dreams about Azula, about loving her and being with her and even sleeping with her.

But that all changed.

Ty Lee wondered if Azula ever dreamed about her in the first place.

She wiped away her tears and rose to get ready for training.

She had a new life now, one she loved, but her dreams never let her leave the past behind.

Little did she know, far away from Kyoshi Island, Azula still dreamed about her too.
