A/N: For quite some time I've wanted to play around in the Dragonball-verse. The closest I've done was a DBZ/YYH crossover set in the YuYU Hakusho-verse. This one is a somewhat different approach. It's technically a BtVS/DBS crossover, however, there will be elements from Dragonball, Dragonball Z and even some of the Dragonball Z movies being used. As this fic would be in the Dragonball Universe, Goku and company will play some minor roles in this fic, however, they won't appear until the later arcs as the fic takes place in Universe 6 and not Universe 7, where Goku and his friends live. After the intro, most of the Dragonball Super elements wouldn't factor back into the fic until the Tournament of Power.
As with so many of my other BtVS crossover fic ideas, this is a YAHF, though one that is hopefully implemented in a more unique way. Let me know what you guys think of this.
YAHF: Limitless (BtVS/Dragonball/Z/Super/Movies)
Lord Champa and his angel assistant, Vados, along with the rest of Team Universe 6, were heading back from the Unknown Planet out in the far reaches of Dark Space between Universes 6 and 7. It was to both of their surprises when suddenly a brand new planet had appeared in their universe. After a bit of investigation, it was soon discovered that Lord Beerus, Lord Champa's twin brother and Universe 7 counterpart, had somehow not only managed to find the location of the seventh wish orb, but had used them to restore the Earth- one with a society very similar to the one that the entirety of Team Universe 7 had hailed from, not to mention all of that delicious food that his brother had ready access to. However, before anything could be said about this new development, time froze.
For a very brief moment, Lord Champa was very suspicious that this was the work of his team captain, Hit, the millennium-old assassin, who was not only the strongest mortal residing in his universe but also had the ability to manipulate time. It was a very useful ability, one that had managed to stop Universe 7's Prince Vegeta from completely decimating his team single-handedly. It had even managed to briefly stump Universe 7's Team Captain, Goku. However, this notion was easily dismissed seeing that even Hit was frozen in the moment, with only himself and Vados remaining unaffected.
"Well, this is a curious turn of events," Vados commented. As she said this a demon, of all things, appeared before them.
Champa growled in annoyance. "Is there a reason you're bothering us?"
"My humble apologies," the demon said with a respectful bow and tone. "My name is Whistler, representing the higher powers from another branch of creation."
"So? I'm not exactly in the mood to be entertaining being from places outside my own universe right now. Especially if they're demons," Champa threatened. While the relationships between the various Gods of Destruction and the Gods of Creation varied between universes, not to mention each of their relationships with their various multiversal counterparts, none of the various divine beings throughout the multiverse had much love for demons.
"Now, Lord Champa, we really should hear him out, after all, he came all this way to see us," Vados lightly admonished.
Champa crossed his arms childishly as he petulantly replied. "Fine! Well, demon, what do you want!?"
"As you are both no doubt aware, every branch of creation has some sort of awareness of the others," Whistler began to explain.
"Your point?" Champa asked impatiently.
"Lord Champa!" Vados admonished.
"I agreed to hear him out, didn't I?" Champa rebutted. "He's lucky I didn't just destroy him on the spot!"
"As you say, Lord Champa," Vados acknowledged. She then turned to Whistler, "As you can see, my lord isn't the most patient of beings, so you might want to hurry."
"Of course," Whistler replied. "Long story short, due to some magical hijinks, a human from our branch of creation was briefly connected to a being from this one. Fortunately, he wasn't physically altered. Who knows what would have happened then. Unfortunately, he was able to, with training, able to access this beings powers, which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that he can tap into that same being's near limitless potential. Heck, he's even begun to train others. Taking all of that into account, we simply can't keep up with his current rate of growth."
"Human... That would make him an Earthling would it not?" Vados asked.
Whistler nodded. "Yes, and he just recently managed to singlehandedly defeat a newly emerged Demon God almost completely by himself. Luckily it was still weak or the kid, even as he is now, wouldn't have stood a chance. However, there aren't many beings currently capable of testing him in our section of the omniverse, and the ones that can are so out of his league that they'd likely completely erase him out of existence- something we'd like to avoid. So, what we'd like to do is relocate him to your Earth, retconning him as a natural part of their history."
"Why come to us? This is a matter above any Universe's Supreme Kai or God of Destruction," Vados inquired.
"My superiors, The Powers That Be, sent me directly to the Palace of the Omni-King," Whistler explained. "He said he was okay with this, and the Grand Minister sent me to talk to the both of you and the Supreme Kai of this Universe, as what I and my superiors propose is simultaneously an Act of Destruction and Creation. Despite it's retconned status, the Earth of this Universe is very new, and would be the easiest one for him to be acclimated to."
"And just who is this mortal?" Champa asked.
"The kid's name is Alexander Harris and he is currently the strongest mortal in our Universe, though that won't be saying much if you allow him to move here. Then again, from what we've seen of the kid and his growth, that could very quickly change," Whistler answered.
"And just how would this mortal affect this Earth?" Champa asked shrewdly. "We didn't go through all the trouble we did to get this Earth only to lose it because some uppity mortal decided to wreck the place!"
"I'd imagine, like the guy he got his powers from, he'd become their greatest champion," Whistler stated. "He's a good kid, the real deal and on your Earth, he wouldn't be held back like he is now."
"And what of his pupils? Won't they also be an issue?" Vados asked.
"A bit, but they're all manageable ones. As much potential as some of them have, only one of them can hold a candle to the kid, but she's still a way off from being a threat like the kid is now, and by the time she gets to that level, we'll be more capable of handling her situation."
"The mortal, the one your mortal, Alexander Harris, connected to, they aren't also from Universe 6, are they?" Vados inquired.
"No," Whistler confirmed. "But you have met him, recently in fact. And like Harris, he's also from Earth- technically speaking."
