Chapter 18 Stitch has a Glitch

The Next Day

Elrena and I were helping Lilo and Stitch get ready for their live rehearsal in front of their hula class.

"What if I forget the moves", Lilo asked. "And Mertle laughs at me, and I get mad and pound her?"

"Pound her", I asked in shock.

"Okay", Elrena started. "I want to see that."

"Elrena", I scolded.

"You gotta help me Stitch", Lilo pleaded. "I need you."

"We do together", Stitch reassured.

"And Elrena and I will be cheering you on", I added.

"Well", Elrena started. "She'll be cheering you on. I'm just here."

Five Minutes Later

Elrena and I watched as Lilo nervously walked onto the stage.

I mouthed 'you've got this' this to her with my thumbs up.

Lilo took a deep breath, and began.

"Our hula is about an ancient friendship that proves love is more powerful than death", she revealed. "The great goddess Hi'iaka, that's me, and the handsome mortal Lohi'au. That's Stitch."

This was Stitch's cue, but for some reason, he didn't appear on the stage.

"I said...the handsome mortal Lohi'au", Lilo repeated.

But still nothing.

"Handsome mortal", Lilo asked.

"Where is he", I asked in concern.

"Maybe he has stage fright", Elrena suggested.

Then...something happened.

Stitch came...and started wrecking things!

He eventually calmed down, but Lilo ended up being banned from rehearsing her hula there.

Stitch tried to make it better, but just as him and Lilo made up, he ended up acting out and destroying her props for the hula.

After that, she made it clear that she didn't want to do the hula with him, but I had a bad feeling that something else was going on.

The Next Day

It was the day of the competition, and we were all gathered to watch Lilo's hula.

When her time to perform was nearing, Stitch got up and left.

Elrena and I followed him, and saw that he had went to go see Lilo.

"Stitch", she asked.

"I just want to say I...", he started.

"I can't talk now", Lilo stated. "I have to go on."

"I know", Stitch started. "I..."

Before Stitch could finish, something happened.

"Oh no", he started his dismay. "Badness coming on!"

"Oh no", I said knowing what was about to happen.

And I was right. Stitch started acting up.

I hugged him close to me to try and stop him, but he ended up getting out of my grip.

Then...he scratched Lilo's face!

This snapped him out out of it, and he looked horrified at what he had done.

"Stitch", Lilo asked in concern.

"No Lilo", Stitch said. "Too dangerous."

Then...he ran off.

Lilo tried going after him, but Kumu came to took her to the stage.

"We have to go after him", I said to Elrena.

"Um...", she started as she looked at her phone. "I think we have bigger problems to deal with."

"Like what", I asked.

"Like Sinful Energy", Elrena replied. "The tracker Ienzo put on my Gummi Phone is picking up something."
